Metroid Kylie Backstory

Metroid!Kylie:

Deep within the hidden heart of the galactic federation a secret plan was carried out, a plan to create a soldier which could rival the likes of the legendary bounty hunter Samus Aran. At first, they tried to use prisoners from the various galactic prisons around the universe but...every one of them failed and died as a result as it seemed they needed a very specific type of person, at the top of their game and physically fit in all respects, to be able to successfully undergo the procedure. They finally found their answer, two of them actually.

Coul Renalt, a young man known for being immature and impulsive among his trainers in the galactic federation yet considered among the top in his class. As a younger lad he had saved his world from a space pirate invasion using an old planetary defense construct that had been left behind by an ancient culture with the help of his sister, the young and talented Kylie Renalt.

Unfortunately, before the galactic federation could get there, one lone space pirate managed to warp down to the construct and attacked Kylie from behind, by the time the federation got there Coul had already managed to beat the space pirate's head in with the turret as it attacked his sister but it was too late, from that day forward Kylie was paralyzed from the waist down. Soon afterwards both Kylie and Coul joined up with the galactic federation, Kylie herself becoming one of the youngest top scientists and athletes in her class despite her disability.

After testing it was found that both Coul and Kylie were perfect candidates for the procedure, so they were approached by the head brass and each given an offer, Kylie would be able to walk again and Coul was promised power and abilities that could help him defend the entire universe from the space pirate menace. They both accepted, not knowing that the other had been approached with the same offer. Kylie was the first to undergo the procedure, given top of the line cybernetics, nanorobotics, and a host of countless other technologies which ended up with her being the most advanced cyborg ever created with a host of abilities to match the legendary hunter. Unfortunately, due to being paralyzed from the waist down they had to...amputate and replace her legs as well as restore the nerves in her spine and waist, due to this she ended up being unable to use many of the abilities that Samus could use that they had data on such as the morphball, shinespark, and screw attack, the sheer force of these abilities giving her a chance of losing her legs once more.

Once she woke up, another problem surfaced, although she could match the agility and speed as well as even surpass the mental acumen of the legendary hunter, she was found to lack the sheer physical strength that samus aran had. To them, she was considered a failure, but to her it was a miracle. She was faster, smarter, and could even walk again! After rigorous training and testing of her new body she was finally released and soon become a decorated field scientist, she didn't give a thought to what her brother was doing at the time due to them not having been all that close recently so she went on her own adventures, not even knowing the torture that Coul was going through.
