  1. NonnieGrey's: Mega Man Star Force Trilogy "No Links 100%" Playthrough
  2.
  3. Q: What is this?
  4. A: This is a casual, multi-stream challenge comprised of finishing three Nintendo DS games to completion: Mega Man Star Force: Leo, Mega Man Star Force 2 (Zerker), and Mega Man Star Force 3: Black Ace.
  5.
  6. Q: How is 100% No Links defined?
  7. A: Essentially it is a completion of the games without the benefit of Brotherbands, which boost your stats and give you special abilities or folder bonuses. Several of this 'links' are forced, however, the ones that are will be promptly removed where possible. This is effectively a solo mission, where Nonnie is seeking to get all 17 icons with as high of a handicap as possible.
  8.
  9. Q: How long will this take?
  10. A: A while. At the bare minimum, a couple of weeks worth of streams. The point isn't to finish fast, it's just to have fun replaying an old favorite series albeit casually.
  11.
  12. Q: What are the 17 icons?
  13. A: The star icons you receive are: A Rock Man icon for beating each of the games, 3x 'S Complete' stars for getting each of the games' 150 standard class battle cards, 3x 'M Complete' Stars for getting all 30 recorded mega class battle cards, 3x 'G Complete' stars for getting each game's 5 giga class battle cards, the 'Leo Star' for beating Leo Kingdom in MMSF, the 'OopArts' star for beating Apollo Flame in MMSF2, the 'SS' star for defeating Sirius, the 'SP Complete' star for defeating every SP boss in MMSF and the 'Mu Continent' star for defeating Le Mu Xa.
  14.
  15. Q: What are BrotherBands?
  16. A: BrotherBands are the way the story characters benefit you with their friendships. They give you a health boost, some special abilities in battle and a roulette battle card in your folder that rotates between their 'favorite' cards. Nonnie won't be using these either, severing them as soon as is feasible in the story progression.
  17.
  18. Q: What is the Indie Proof? What does it do?
  19. A: In Mega Man Star Force 2, you have the option of replacing your six BrotherBand slots with 'Indie Fragments' (literally "Fragments of Isolation" in Japanese) items to give yourself a transformation card in your folder known as the "Badge of Loneliness". This allows Mega Man to use the 'Rogue Tribe' form; an incredibly busted form that boosts sword cards by 50 damage and prevents the use of Mega Cards. It's basically being banned as it circumvents the challenge of avoiding ANY use of the BrotherBand screen for benefits.
  20.
  21. Q: What is Rogue Noise?
  22. A: In Mega Man Star Force 3, outside of the Finalized noise transformations Black Ace and Red Joker themselves, transformations are gained completely based on RNG/luck. This includes a noise transformation based on Rogue which is effectively this game's version of Rogue Tribe. It only appears when no brothers are acquired and supposedly has a low encounter rate. Either way, it won't be used if acquired as it interacts with the BrotherBand system.
