Darkness Tournament: Violet vs Frad

     Lights shine down upon the dusky scene, steel cold bars enclose the two combatants as a crow anticipates the battle.

   "Ladies and gentlemen!" comes the loud speaker, "We have a fantastic bout for you tonight, an official battle for the Tournament of Darkness!"

  A loud cheer comes over the crowd, as they quiet down the announcer continues, "one or both of these two combatants may very well become the next members of the Triad of Darkness!"

  A spotlight comes down over the white techn-armor clad Prof. Frad.

  "In this corner we have Professor Frad, the seven year old co-founder of The Foundation, and user of the most advanced gadgets the human world has to offer!"

   The crowd is mainly filled with hisses and boos.

  A spotlight comes down over the other combatant the oddly pseudo-medieval armor clad Dullahan woman, Violet.

  "In this corner we have the favorite of the cage matches, that heavy metal warrior, Violet!"

  The crowd cheers loudly, much to the approval of Toshi, Violet's Nuppepo manager. The main lights come up in the cage as the match begins.

  "Not how I wanted to meet you," says Frad, "I had hoped to encounter such a fascinating specimen in a more private location. You'd have made an excellent addition to my collection."

  Violet reaches up as flames erupt from her neck, however rather than pulling her head off as one would expect, instead she manifests a strange blue crystal, a semi-cylindral thing about the size of a toborone and pointed on both ends.

  She aimes it at Frad and announces, "I too would have prefered our meeting to be more private. Prof. Frad, by order of the Dimension Police I place you under-arrest for the crime of knownly cross-contaminating parallel worlds. You are to come quietly."

  Frad *chuckles* and then *laughs*, "I knew it! I knew you were real! To think you'd still be around...and me...under arrest? For what? Kidnapping beings from different dimensions and bringing them here? Guess things have changed for the Dimension Police in the last two hundred thousand years."

   "What?" asks Violet, "How...what?"

  "It is written," announces Frad making a show of it for the crowd, "Two hundred thousand years ago during the first Hexian War, the humans of that age summoned your ancestors! Yes you various monsters...your ancestors were brought to this world by humans to wage  their wars! The Dimension Police...did nothing about that...the humans summoned great beasts, demons, shadows, and all manner of powerful creatures to this world. Giving them all the promise that they would be sent back to their respective worlds in return for their serivices...it was a lie. According to the logs of the lost civilization which I have found, which I have deciphered, which I have in my collection, the humans of that age were able to grab random creatures of power from random worlds, with no way of knowing from wence they came. The great beasts discovered this, and nearly exterminated the human race in retribution."

  Frad points accusionly at Violet, "and that is when...her....people showed up. The Dimension Police showed up and attacked the monsters, attacked the prisoners of war forced to fight the war, they called forth great...monsters...of their own. They exterminated, weakened, and imprisoned, sealing away the greatest of them."

  He pauses a moment to *laugh*, "No doubt you have all heard, seen for that matter that giant monster that appeared in the Mediteraneon, feared its arrival would expose you all to the humans, that...Azuara thing, and then that bizare incident with the one they called Dursha and that...egg...thing...Armadar...as well as that other one that showed up. These were the great beasts sealed away during the first Hexian War....the beasts her people had called to be sealed and your ancestors forced to flee into the dark places of the Earth."

  He crosses his arms, "and then they ignored this world...a second Hexian War erupted ages later and the humans ended up summoning even worse horrors to this world...her people ignored this world's plight then. Such hypocrits, they defend the humans from their own prisoners, and then leave both them and your ancesotrs to fend for themselves against the Eldritch ones!"

  His smile is that of a super-villain as he point at Violet, "and now they show up! Ages later...to arrest me...little ole me...for doing the same thing as the humans of the first war...but on a much, much...much smaller scale."

  Toshi is just sitting there trying to figure out what the hell is going on.

  Violet just shakes her head...which considering its floating above the collar on her neck is more like rotating back and forth and dipping like a bob in the water, "Frad...you are under arrest for knowingly causing breaches in the dimensional fabric of parallel worlds, resulting into exotic particles and force to be released into those worlds causing mass mutations in the local life forms."

  She aims her crystal at him, "and this is a capture crystal."

  She fires a blue beam from the crystal at Frad as his rocket boots propell him into the air. Electric arcs flash around his body. He screams as purple arcs erupt through his armor from his chest and blast back the blue arcs and beam, encasing the crystal forcing Violet to release it. The crystal is dissolved by the energy.

  Frad lands and holds his hand to his broken armor and *huffs*. He smiles wickedly at Violet, "the Dark Crystal it seems negates your alien toy..."

  "The the hard way," says Violet as she grabs her hair, causing it to extend as she spins her head around in her arm like a morning star.

  Frad clinches his fists, his armor is damaged, this will be a real fight on reserve power. However before either of them can trully begin a blue vortex appears beside them, out steps a pair of athletically built chinese women in matching dresses, with slits up the legs, one white, the other pink, and their hair up in twin buns.

  The one in white manistes a katana from her sleeve and aims it at Frad, "You...human, by order of the Dimension Police you are to hand over that Mana Stone!"

  "Uh...sis..." says the one in pink, "th...that lady...her....head...."

  The one in white glances over and just says, "Ethereal, sub-race, Dullahan type, they manifest with what looks like their head being removable."

  "Oh..." says the one in Pink before she manifests a rubber duck from her sleeve and aims it Frad, "like my Sis said buster, hand over that Mana Stone before that sorceress shows up."

  "Shush," whispers the one in white.

  "Hold on," says Violet, "I didn't call for back-up! Frad is my case and my case alone!"

  "What?" asks the woman in white, "Is that...that man's name? We don't care about him! We are part of a special task force detecting specific mana stones, to prevent them from being reclaimed by a dark power."

  "I have no such information!" yells Violet, "Hold on...what precint are you part of anyway?"

  "Precint?" asks the woman in pink.

  "Alpha 26," says the woman in white.

  "uh...ladies..." starts a confused Prof. Frad.

  "You are out of your jurisdiction," says Violet, "this world is in our sector, Beta 26"

  "Beta 26?" asks the woman in White, "of...course...she sent her mana outside of our reach...to protect her stored power away from where her enemies would be aware of her power...wait...then how'd we detect it?"

  "Because your chief is a traitor," comes a woman's voice shaking the entire building.

  "Outside!" yells a random demon, "the sky! The sky is alive! Its an Eldritch!!"

  The crowd quickly runs outside. A strange swirling darkness appears in the cage above them, it flashes red as the room shakes.

  One of the gems on Violet's golden waist belt flashes, "My gods," says Violet as she taps the gem, "Something...something is trying to force its way onto Midgardia!"

  She runs outside ignoring a very confused Prof. Frad, who eyes the swirling darkness noticing its trying to focus above his head. He is quick to head out the other door from the three Dimension Police officers. However...outside is not a pretty picture. The sky is red, swirling waves of darkness filled with ominous aurora lights cascade where sky and clouds should be. Massive black tentacles like twisting vines covered in massive tooth like thorns and red glowing eyes sway out of the darkness.

  "How is this possible," says Violet, "the Nine Obelisks should block something like this...my alert says its a being of pure magical power."

  Another gem flashes on her belt, "Of course," says Violet, "this is a distraction...its attacking the nearest Obelisk above us!"

  "Its her," says the woman in white, "she's come for the mana stone...but this...I...had no idea she could do...this.."

  "Lee Lee," says the woman in pink, "I...sis...this is scary..."

  "yeah...it is Ki Ki," says Lee Lee addressing her sister.

  Violet pulls out a device from nothing as she sets her head back above her neck, "This life sign...we have it on record...the Dark Queen...The Sorceress of Storms! My gods...Chaos has returned to Midgardia!"

  Lee Lee looks at Violet, "this is why the precints should have a unified database...something tells me your department knows something we don't because....this....is...insane...even with what we know about her."

  Frad would be fleeing but the sight above him...and a pain in his chest, the Dark Crystal he had found 640 years ago, the very stone that sustains him, the very stone he found in ruins belonging to the Snake Race from the time shortly aftert the second Hexian War, glows purple and has forced him to his knees in pain.

  High above the world, the Nine Obelisks float un-noticed by mankind. Each roughly the length of a football field. One of them is on high alert, a massive purple sigil glows at its base as its defenses are in full force and tries to close the opening dimensional portal appearing over Ireland. Red sparks flash over the Obelisk...it cracks. A portal appears upon its surface, out steps a woman. A tall woman walks upon the black obelisk with her even darker black hiking boots. Between her black tight pants, and black corset top one might think she was camoflaged for space. Her long black cape, with its red inner lining, and her dark blood red hair floats in the vacuum of space.

  The woman taps her foot on the Obelisk and laughs internally, her body glows with a blue aura protecting her from the vacuum of space. She speaks, despite the absence of air, with a voice that commands powers beyond time and space,

  "Magical Force
   Gather in my hand and become my strength!"

  Her fist glows with a fiery violet energy and as she punches straight into the obelisk he yells out, "Mystical Fist!"

  Her fist leaves a crater in the obelisk, red cracks branch out across the surface.

  Back on the Earth's surface, in Ireland specifically, Frad topples over scream as the crystal in his chest erupts in purple sparks.

  "Oh shit," says Violet turning around, "forgot about...oh shit..."

  Frad's screams stop as his body is vaporized, his armor and flesh no different to the mystical energy of the crystal. Which now floats in the air.

  The sky returns to normal as a portal appears beside it, a portal with black interwoven vines for a boarder and utter darkness for an interior, a tunnel of shadows in the middle of the field beside the building houseing the cage matches. Out steps the same woman who had so badly damaged the Obelisk.

  "Stop!" yells out Lee Lee aiming her katana, "we can't let you..."

  The woman grabs the stone, which vanishes in a puff of violet flames and smoke into the woman's hand.

  "A mere drop at this point," says the woman, "A tiny fragment of my power that had found its way to this world. Like so many, the mana stones that shed from my sleeping physical form thanks to that accursed device that imprisoned my body for so long found their ways to the various worlds I had visited in the past. As much of my power as I have reclaimed at this point, I needn't have bothered...but...however...It felt connected to some...creature, its mind was bothering me like an annoying little itch."

  She breathes at the ash conjuring up a wind to scatter the ashen remains of Frad.
  "Now Lee Lee and Ki Ki...I will depart this world...to think you two were sent to hinder me...such a shame...and to think we have a mutual aquantince that we both helped save from an untimely death, and from a very weird stalker."

  "She is right," says Ki Ki

  "We're professionals," says Lee Lee, "We were sent to retrieve Betty, and....how'd you have such a hard time against that monster...when you could..."

  She lowers her katana, "What...what are you?"

  "The dreamer and the dream," says the woman with a smile as she exits through the portal.

  "Wow," says Violet, "that..."

  She looks at her scanner, "that was her....that was the Fairy of Chaos...the one who killed four different Living Darkness type Eldritch ones on this planet."

  "I think we just failed our mission," says Ki Ki

  "Not so sure," says Lee Lee, "If she's...then the law...doesn't apply...I have...I have no idea what's going on...we really need more information on who and what we are dealing with...oh gods...the other teams."

  Lee Lee and Ki Ki open up a portal and vanish.

  Violet shrugs her shoulders and *sighs*, "Well guess I'll....just report this jurisdiction infraction back to base...well I guess The Sorceress of the Storms making an apperance...especially now when the tournament is going on...is really important too."

  "Uhm...miss Violet," asks Toshi by her feet, "I...what just happened?"

  "Oh right," says Violet looking down at him and around at the crowd of in-human beings who all saw what happened just now, "Well...this is a problem."

  Due to damage....Obelisk Damaged, tournament contestant lost....unable to teleport from danger, danger type...internal...external...power source interference...atmospheric portal interference...Eldritch entity interference...Obelisk Damaged by unknown force...external force...pure magic, beyond Obelisk power dampening perameters...damage, alert....

  "Turn it off," says Sharon as the screen goes black.

  "So then," says Lohln, "Havn't seen her in a long while."

  Echidaria smiles creepily, "Chaos...well we shouldn't be surprised she wouldn't much care for the Obelisks."

  Pamela narrows her eyes, it has been ages, so many ages since that time, so much has changed. But even if she lived for another 200,000 years she would never forget that battle, when Montigi battled the four goddesses, as well as Lohln, Echidaria....and that dragon that landed the final blow and stole the eldritch monster's soul. That...that being has returned and attacked one of the obelisks and killed a contestant.
