  1. I was having fun with this manip, going at 40% on the seed
  2. then the timer0 did the thing that's now happened to me 4 or 5 times total over my rnging carreer
  3. and I've not not hit it in 30 attempts
  4. this has to be caused by -something-
  5. it's probably hardware related, but if it is, maybe there is a way to stop it happening
  6. it could just be that some timer0s don't do this and you just try until you get one that never does that.
  7. ok hit the seed after 31 attempts on off, this one was after quite a while of not changing the time, 1 hour 10 after, ds was on the whole time

  17. I'll look into ds firmwares, that guy seems to think something is up with that and keypresses, idk if I can change mine though
  18. ok so I'm on V4 and he has...absolutley no info of whether he thinks keypresses affect that.

  23. go into pictochat, enter a room, and then remove your cart, the resulting crash tells you

  28. at this point I'm pretty sure keypresses are affecting the bootup and hence the timer0 at least to an extent
  29. although right now the only thing I'm 100% sure of is that different seeds have different timer0 frequencies (on my DS at least) and it's possible to just get a "good seed" that you can hit more. Will it be possible to know which # keypresses give which timer0 more or not, will they make a difference, I think with a bit of testing I can at least make an educated guess.
  30. None of this however really explains the seemingly completely random shifts in timer0 to the point where I suddenly stop hitting a seed for ~1hr, my only thought is like, temperature variations or some shit making the DS boot at a different rate.
