- Consti-Charter of the North Atlantic Knights
- Preamble:
- NAK is a glorious amalgamation of The Templar Knights and the North Atlantic Defence Coalition. As such it is an open, democratic alliance with a strong sense of honour.
- Section 1 – Government Roles
- Article 1 – [our glorious leader]
- a) [Glorious leaders] are the titular and executive head of NAK
- b) [Glorious leaders] are elected to office by the membership of NAK. Prospective candidates must have been in NAK for 6 consecutive months. [Glorious Leaders] serve a 6-month term before a new election is held. There is no term limit on the office of [Glorious Leader]
- c) [Glorious leaders] can chose to stand down at any time, ideally giving a month’s notice to allow a new election to be held.
- d) [Glorious leaders] can be removed from office by a vote of no confidence, proposed by the [council] and voted on by the Membership
- Article 2 – [those who work]
- a) [those who work] are selected by [our glorious leader] as members with special roles and authorities over certain areas. Suggested roles include (but are not limited to) [Minister of Losing Money], [Minister of Making Treaties and Starting Wars], [Minister of Fighting Wars], [Minister of Deterring New Members]
- b) [those who work] may, with the permission of [our glorious leader], appoint deputies to assist with their work.
- e) [those who work] can be removed from office at any time by [our glorious leader], or by a vote of no confidence, proposed by the [council] and voted on by the Membership.
- Article 3 – [the council]
- a) [the council] is an elective body intended to act as a bridge between [our glorious leader] and [those who work] and the Membership as a whole. As such they should normally be consulted about significant decisions being made by the government.
- b) [the council] have the final vote on key issues such as treaties with other alliances, and whether to declare war.
- c) [the council] are voted in by the Membership. Prospective candidates must have been in NAK for 4 consecutive months.
- d) [the council] serve a 4-month term. There is no term limit on the office of [councillor].
- f) [councillors] can be removed from office by a vote of no confidence, proposed by any member and voted on by the Membership
- Article 4 – [the Membership]
- a) [the Membership] is composed of every NAK-er.
- Article 5 – [n00bs]
- a) New Members shall be inducted into the role of [n00b], and shall serve a 2-month probation before becoming a Member. The probation period may be waived by [our glorious leader] or the relevant [those who work] in special circumstances (such as a long-time player joining NAK).
- b) New Members are expected to undertake a training course, administered by the relevant [those who work] or other appointed official.
- Article 6 – [Grand Viziers]
- a) Grand Viziers are trusted advisors to [our glorious leader]
- b) Former [glorious leaders], [those who work] and other significant Members may be elevated to the role of [Grand Vizier] by the reigning [glorious leader]
- Section 2 – Da Rules
- Article 1 – Code of Conduct
- Within NAK
- Members will:
- - Behave honourably
- - Treat their fellow knights with respect
- - Obey instructions from their government
- - If their conscience prevents them from obeying the government (an unjust war,for example) knights should formally and politely protest, preferably via a topic in the Priory.
- Without NAK
- Members will:
- - Behave honourably
- - Treat their fellow CN residents with respect
- - Do not flame or Troll the OWF forums
- - Do not flame or Troll any other alliance forum
- - Obey instructions from their government when on the OWF forums
- - If cancelling trades, always aim to give your trade partners at least 1 week notice, preferably 2 weeks or arrange for a replacement to take your place in the trade circle.
- Article 2 – Amendments
- a) Amendments to the Consti-Charter can be proposed by any member.
- b) Proposed amendments should be discussed by the membership, before being voted on by the [council]
