A Departure

[Following a discussion on the past, on ties, faith, etc.]

You close your eyes momentarily and extend the range of your vision, seeking out the presence of Milabar.
You see that Milabar is at Crossroads near Targossas.

You begin to descend, the wind whistling past you as the earth draws ever closer. You land easily, back on the ground again.

Milabar says in a soft, passionate voice, "Oh."

Milabar attempts to stifle his amusement but cannot help laughing aloud.

You ponder the situation.

Sunset falls, casting the clouds above in a shadowy array of darks and silvers and lending the sky a purplish cast. The Black Dragon Milabar's imposing form looms.

An elongated oval citrine lies at the top of this pendant, from it, dangles an amethyst heart, facetted on both sides, between them a small diamond, about the size of a wren's eye. The citrine is perhaps as long as a watermelon seed, but not quite as wide and the amethyst is the width of a large man's thumb. On the centre facet of one side of the heart, is a sleeping wolf, tail covering its nose, ears listening for danger. It is formed from the purest gold and chased in places with silver, to mimic the colour change of the pelts of live wolves. The whole of the pendant is attached to a delicate chain of slightly flattened links, light is meant to play off the tiny flat polished surfaces of each link.
Engraved on it are the words:
To one of the few rays of Light during my time

It has 315 months of usefulness left.

Face set with grim determination, Milabar's eyes close as a black light begins to shine forth, emanating from within his body.

Milabar completes his transformation and, with an ear-splitting roar, throws back his draconic head and screams out his triumph.

Milabar says in a soft, passionate voice, "I always am."

Milabar's eyes twinkle enchantingly.

Milabar Si'Talvace claps his wings with immense power and disappears.
