- HTTTrack Capture of the Yahoo Directory
- It contains the first 10 Groups in each Category (and first 10 Groups for each subcategory).If I recall Yahoo had an infinite scroll with the larger groups near the top.
- The first 10 groups contains basic info: Title, an icon which indicated whether the Group was Open/Private, summary and number of members.
- Of the approximately 57,000 individual groups it scanned, it was able to pull the info page on ca. 27,000...a little under 50% The individual Group info page contained more details about each Group (Detailed description, founding date and membership/moderation types)
- Key directories - Categories groups.yahoo.com\neo\dir
- Individual Groups groups.yahoo.com\neo\groups
- List of Groups by name
- Groups with 0 = have no index file/detailed Group info
- Groups with > 1 have index files/detailed Group info
- Groups with >2 may have subgroups whose names are not recorded because the Group names were not listed separately. Folders must be manually opened
