Chi's parents are Japanese but moved to Korea before she was born, for Chi's fathers job. Has younger twin siblings whom Kichi adores. Born and raised in Seoul and attended Seoul School of preforming arts. Didn't have so many friends during school but had some close ones. Academically Kichi did well and was often top ten. Was recruited by SM for her vocal skills and dance ability. Once she graduated school she got a job at a corner shop and started to save up to move out of her house. She also apprenticed a tattoo artist and is a licenced tattoo artist. She did this to earn money.

Honestly the calmest person you will ever meet, constantly in a chill mood and never gets angry. Chi smiles a lot and talks just as much. Is rather independent and doesn't cry from missing her parents because she was never close to them. She is so chill and drinks a lot due to loneliness.
