    It's 2 am and I'm still awake

    my wife is soundly sleeping next to me,

I keep thinking about our future together,we're been trying to start our family,

    but is now the time?, don't get me wrong I'd love to have a little one running around causing trouble,

but our house is pretty small as is, never mind adding a child

    buying a bigger house?, not on our salary.

    how do I tell my wife?, what will she think?, as I'm thinking this, I can't help but to toss and turn

    I feel my wife shift next to me, seems I've woken her up

    "sweetie are you alright?, why are you still up?"

    "just having trouble falling asleep dear that's all."

    "is anything bothering you?"

    I trust my wife, but would telling her do anything but cause her to worry?

what if she thinks I don't want to have a child?

    no, I've got to figure this out myself

    "no just can't sleep"

    she starts rubbing your chest

    "well alright, just try to relax, you need your rest sweetie"

    "alright dear"

    my wife shifts and falls back asleep

    I really should sleep, I'm not going to solve any of this tonight

    I try counting backwards from 100, and then forward and back again and forward and so on. its not working, I just can't relax with all this hanging over my head

    what can I do? get a loan from the bank?, nah, all owned by danukis, can't trust them.

demand a raise?, the boss would probably just fire me then and there.

    while I'm thinking all this, I start tossing and turning again

    my wife turns towards me

    "sweetie are you still having trouble sleeping?"

    "yeah, just can't fall sleep tonight"

    you feel one of her tentacles rubbing your temple

    "sweetie is it alright...if I help you fall asleep?"

    your wife and her mind altering ways, she always seems nervous bringing it up.

    you close your eyes and relax

    as you do this you feel a force on your mind, feels like a massage for your brain

    as this happens you feel all your worries disappear

    all your previous thoughts are gone and are replaced by more pleasant ones

    you start remembering your first day of school and your mother hugging you as you left

    coming back home from visiting your grandparents.

your dog bigsby tackling you and licking your face happy that his best friend is home,

    the time where you were riding your bike without training wheels

    your 18th birthday and your father telling you how proud he is of the man in front of him

   meeting your wife for the first time,your first kiss,

the moment you both said "I love you", and the day she truly became yours

    you wish everything was this simple

 you just want your wife and future children happy, maybe you've been overthinking this

    those are you last thoughts as you fall asleep, a smile on your face

    your wife puts her head on your chest smiling

    "oh my sweet husband is that what your so worried about?"

    "all we need is such a caring man"

    "isn't that right, little one" your wife says as rubs her stomach
