  1. ---> After the prayer to Darvellan, Esei and Chel go back to her manse. More accurately, Chel drags Esei behind her.
  2.
  3. A gentle grove. (#OVERGROWTH_1)
  4. You feel hidden powers in this room. A quiet glen of gnarled weeping willows encase all sides, leaves swishing softly in an unseen breeze. Hung from many branches are small cicada and blossom origami, as if the willow trees themselves bear fruit. Twilight cloaks the area, blanketing all in a ghostly glow. Soft grasses and leaves crunch underfoot, the soothing smell of decaying flora and wet earth flooding the air with each step. Large, fluffy bats flutter overhead, oddly docile despite their inherent natures. Freshly planted, a small rowan sapling grows in a clear place of honor, lovingly tended to. There are plenty of spaces for rest, a soft patch of grass here, a plush expanse of moss there. Piled next to a rather large patch of moss sits a stack of letters, each paper clearly well loved. A small vase sits atop a mossy stump, practically bursting with flower cuttings, bringing a spot of bright color to an otherwise unremarkable sea of greens and browns. Set gently atop a bed of moss, a twilight-colored cushion acts as a comfortable pillow. Set within a nearby tree hollow, a watercolor music box of sweet lullaby gleams in the dull twilight. A large, fluffy crow's nest hangs from one of the many willows, full of shiny baubles and small bones of some poor rodent. The sound of a babbling brook seems to echo in the distance. Little else can be heard, save for the soft woosh of the entry portal. The darkness of night looms here. A thick bed of moss clings to the ground here. There are 3 moss-covered stump chairs here. A pale ghodak board rests here. Perpetually ticking away the hours, the Enduring Clock of Present's Resolution stands proudly nearby. A painting of Unwanted Silence is proudly exhibited on a nearby wall, with an inscription on a plaque on its frame. Standing off to the side, a tall wooden display case showcases a single treasure. You see a sign here instructing you to use the PORTAL command to enter the aetherplex system.
  5. There are no obvious exits.
  6.
  7. You stretch languidly.
  8.
  9. Continuing the hunt for his dark mate, Father Sun presses forward in his journey, lowering himself in the sky yet still casting even, full light upon the land.
  10.
  11. Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "Now we wait for either silence, lightning, or neither!"
  12. You give a trillingly melodic laugh, your frills resonating with joy.
  13.
  14. Esei quietens, folding their hands behind their back.
  15.
  16. You waggle your eyebrows suggestively at Esei.
  17.
  18. Wyrden Haruspex Esei Shee-Slaugh of the Ascending Dusk whispers, "You did ask me a question, before."
  19.
  20. You blink.
  21. Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "I did?"
  22.
  23. Wyrden Haruspex Esei Shee-Slaugh of the Ascending Dusk whispers, "When Lord Darvellan first returned, aye."
  24.
  25. Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "Oh."
  26.
  27. Pale gold in hue, the wreath about your brow shimmers in a steady pattern, like unto a heartbeat in its gentle pulsation, crowning you in a flickering halo before settling still once more.
  28.
  29. You have emoted: Cheliyi's goofy countenance sombers a bit.
  30. You clear your throat.
  31. Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "I did ask that, yeahs. You did not exactly answer."
  32.
  33. Wyrden Haruspex Esei Shee-Slaugh of the Ascending Dusk whispers, "I do not think you would enjoy the answer."
  34. Esei circles you, before placing their hand on you shoulder. "I do not know what you might say or do if I told you His weakness."
  35.
  36. Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "Whether or not I enjoy an answer or not is irrelevant, sibling."
  37.
  38. ---> look Esei
  39.
  40. Pale porcelain skin covered in freckles, they are a graceful elfen winterborne demigod changeling. Their maroon hair hangs to the bottom of their shoulder blades, loose and free in a smooth curtain; a single braid has been pulled into position just behind their left ear. Sloe-dark eyes are set in an aristocratic face that belies neither femininity nor masculinity, solemn and oft expressionless. Their ears are long and slender, decorated with freckles and minute, silvery scars. Their build is akin to that of a dancer's, lithe and willowy, while their hands are an artist's, slender and elegant. Each finger is tipped with a black claw, while their palms are lightly scarred and calloused. They stand at six feet and six inches tall exactly, with broad shoulders and a narrow waist. Tattooed on their chest is an illustration of a cadaverous ribcage overgrown with ravishing black roses. Shadows cling adoringly to them, reluctant to surrender their grasp on one with the truefavour of Nocht, the Silent. Twinkling pin-pricks of star-like motes shift gently around them, indicating Darvellan, the Navigator's truefavour.
  41. Lending their face a youthful aura, their cheek dimples craft a look of innocence.
  42. They are wearing:
  43. a circlet of the Shee-Slaugh house nestled firmly against the crown of their head
  44. a phantasmal shroud of shadows worn loosely around their shoulders
  45. the Medallion of Nature hanging on a chain around their neck, resting lightly against their chest
  46. a sweeping, aphotic robe swishing lazily with every movement
  47. Ebon Prayer Beads of the Silent Lord looped around one wrist
  48. an intricately woven belt of wyrden willows tightening their silhouette at the waist
  49. the Fingerblade of dha'Wyrden-cree attached to their left forefinger
  50. elegant black boots exposing their heels and toes
  51.
  52. You have emoted: Cheliyi watches Esei with a slight frown, letting her gaze follow the elfen as they circle round. "I wouldn't do anything. At least, nothing that would harm the Wyrd. I made an oath years agos, yesly."
  53.
  54. Esei huffs out a laugh, a thin, mirthless thing. "Maybe so."
  55. Bluntly, Wyrden Haruspex Esei Shee-Slaugh of the Ascending Dusk whispers, "It is my estimation that He is dying, and Her curse is killing Him."
  56.
  57. You blink.
  58. You open your mouth to say something, but speech fails you.
  59. Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "Dying?"
  60. Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "Truly?"
  61.
  62. Wyrden Haruspex Esei Shee-Slaugh of the Ascending Dusk whispers, "Aye, He endures, and I've faith in Him above all else but the Wyrd itself, but He has not gotten -better-."
  63.
  64. You think to yourself: **All rippling waves of thought brought to a sudden stillness, shock halting all**.
  65.
  66. Esei lets out a soft sigh.
  67.
  68. Naught a sound can be heard as a single, lonely leaf drifts down from the looming willows overhead.
  69. Shadows grow longer in anticipation for the return of their dark mistress as Father Sun's chase brings him closer to the world's edge.
  70.
  71. Muginn shakes out his feathers, the plumes suddenly glowing with an ethereal haze. Ripples of mist pool at his talons, writhing with silent, screaming faces that leave hoar-frost in their wake.
  72.
  73. Esei pats Muginn, the ghost-feathered magpie in a friendly manner.
  74. Muginn glances at Esei warily, before nodding once in approval.
  75.
  76. Wyrden Haruspex Esei Shee-Slaugh of the Ascending Dusk whispers, "What is worse, I do not even know if She knows."
  77.
  78. You have emoted: Cheliyi looks genuinely beyond words, staring at Esei with wide, baffled eyes.
  79.
  80. As the sun passes below the horizon's edge, Mother Night unveils her terrible, shadowy beauty, spreading darkness across the land.
  81.
  82. After a very long pause, you ask, "But... He is like... a Divines. How...?"
  83.
  84. Wyrden Haruspex Esei Shee-Slaugh of the Ascending Dusk whispers, "There are many who died, in the Elder Wars."
  85.
  86. You have emoted: Cheliyi covers her mouth with a hand, staring intensely at the forest floor with a stern frown.
  87.
  88. Shadows swirl around Esei's arm as the Fingerblade of dha'Wyrden-cree shifts and turns around their hand.
  89.
  90. Your frills twitch as you detect an errant sound.
  91. You curl your nose up and grimace awfully.
  92. With no small amount of frustration, you say, "And He has not sought out even the Lady Churgion?"
  93.
  94. Esei just smiles that bland little smile.
  95.
  96. Somehow angrier than she has been in a while, you exclaim, "The Wyrd is powerful and I do not doubt that but Divine above, Glomdoring has allies for a -reason-, sibling!"
  97.
  98. Wyrden Haruspex Esei Shee-Slaugh of the Ascending Dusk whispers, "Cheliyi."
  99.
  100. You have emoted: Cheliyi exhales forcefully, and shakes her head. "Apologies."
  101.
  102. Wyrden Haruspex Esei Shee-Slaugh of the Ascending Dusk whispers, "There are also reasons He would not allow anyone so close to Him."
  103.
  104. Anger dissipating, you say, "I know, I know. He has reasons and He is smartly, and so ons. I just."
  105. You sigh quietly, frills drooping as your tail sags.
  106. Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "It feels like that saying, pride before the fall. You knows?"
  107.
  108. Wyrden Haruspex Esei Shee-Slaugh of the Ascending Dusk whispers, "I cannot claim to know that saying, no."
  109.
  110. Bitterly, you murmur, "Even my Lady would have helped if She knew it was that badly, am sure of it. Despite Their fights."
  111.
  112. The Mantle of Starlight flows gently against your form, twinkling stars shifting across its surface as the starry infinity continues its eternal motion.
  113.
  114. You let loose a long breath from your lungs, exhaling slowly.
  115. Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "It is still just your theory, I know."
  116.
  117. Esei lets out a soft sigh.
  118.
  119. Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "I will be quiet, and will not interfere of coursely. I just hope the Wyrd helps in time."
  120. You give Esei a friendly squeeze.
  121. Echoed by rippling waters, you say to Esei, "I am here for yous."
  122.
  123. Esei wrinkles their nose and sniffs.
  124.
  125. Wyrden Haruspex Esei Shee-Slaugh of the Ascending Dusk whispers, "I am sure."
  126.
  127. Dryly, you say, "How stabbed would I get if I asked Him about it, do you thinks?"
  128.
  129. Wyrden Haruspex Esei Shee-Slaugh of the Ascending Dusk whispers, "Only a touch, I presume."
  130.
  131. You chuckle softly, your frilled tail flicking idly with amusement.
  132.
  133. Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "Am sure am soft hearted and weirdly for still caring about a Divine I sorta hate nows, but, ah."
  134. Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "I have never made much sense, I think."
  135.
  136. Esei exhales slowly, allowing a long fluid breath to creep from their lungs.
  137.
  138. Esei pats you in a friendly manner.
  139. Wyrden Haruspex Esei Shee-Slaugh of the Ascending Dusk whispers, "Come."
  140.
  141. You begin to follow Esei.
  142.
  143. ---> and then they go to have sandwiches with Tikki cause sometimes, you just gotta monch.
