- Dravani
- Humanoid Creature
- Life Span: Long lived/Immortal (Due to pact with their creator god, if they remain virgins, they have immortality. If broken, they become mortal and can age as well as die.) Average lifespan of pact breaker: 400 years
- Breeding: Dravani breed asexually from the culmination of dream material and knowledge they have gathered. This takes place once every 100 years on average, it can be sooner or later due to the amount the Dravani eats. Dravani are able to reproduce sexually, but by doing so they break the pact they form with their god. It takes 9 months for a child to be born via sexual reproduction and almost instantaneous when done asexually. In both cases, the child is a newborn who needs the help of their mother. When it comes to asexual children, they obtain the knowledge of both their mother and the culmination of the knowledge the mother has obtained via their dream eating.
- Appearance: Dravani come in a wide variety of skin tones. They come in either blue, white, brown, or red. This has many different factors such as the type of knowledge the mother has accumulated, the subjects of the dreams, the type of host(s), and etc. Hair and eye color are also affected by these factors and can vary from blonde, red, orange, blue, green, brown, black, white, gray, etc. Short horns, on average of .5 to 1 inch, appear on their heads and the location of these horns vary. Some appear on their forehead, while others appear on top of the head. There are even some that appear in the back of the horns. Dravani also have slightly pointed ears.
- Clothes: Dravani tend to adopt clothing styles from their most common host, as such, it is hard to distinguish clothing culture. There are, however, a few examples of unique clothing for the Dravani. Some include dresses which focus more on comfort than utility which are sleeveless and leave the armpits bare. These dresses are not too thin but not too thick, covering them modestly but still showing off leg skin, where these dresses usually cut off above the knees. The lower part of these dresses come in either cutoffs, skirts, various slits, or pant leggings depending on the individual’s taste.
- Culture: Dravani are driven by the pursuit of knowledge, part in fact due to their constant dream delving. Because of this, they are open to cooperative exchange of knowledge between the various races when able to. However, Dravani almost always live near human settlements due to the fact that humans are the best in compatibility with the dream dive. Dravani are able to delve into other races’ dreams, but there is usually negative feedback of various severity. This compatibility issue is also a major factor in their pursuit of knowledge. Not only that, but this compatibility with humans is the factor which allowed Dravani to learn of various emotions and mentalities they were not aware of when they were created. Due to this, emotions such as lust, anger, courage, and others came to be in the Dravani.
- When it comes to war, Dravani tend to avoid conflict as much as possible, due to their disdain in loss of life and knowledge. They will, however, protect whatever they deem vital to them to the death. They have gained the abilities of psonic weapons, abilities, astral projection, and telepathy through their interactions with humans and their immortality is also a factor when it comes to combat.
- The Dravani have a mostly republic styled government, where the eldest Dravani and the avatar of the god discuss on various topics of the race ranging from economy, foreign policy, internal disputes and law. Every 50 years, a new Dravani is brought into the fold while one is let go back into the public population. This is to prevent the government from becoming too stagnant. Not only is there a republic government, but the Dravani also hold public debates for its citizens which allow for the voice of the many to be heard. In settlements outside of the capital, Dravani use this form of public debate to create an internal government of their settlement. When it comes to be that the word of the Avatar is needed, a representative is sent to seek guidance via astral projection.
- Any Dravani that lose their virginity willingly are exiled from any settlement while those whose virginity were taken by force are allowed to stay if they so decide to.
- Subrace: Gelbana
- The child of a Dravani and human, Gelbanas are still able to acquire sustenance from feeding on dreams, but they have also acquired the ability to acquire sustenance from physical touch, where sexual contact is the best transfer medium.
- Lifespan: Long Lived: Although they are unable to obtain immortality through the pact, Gelbanas are still long lived, living on an average of 160-200 years. They do age physically, but this can be held off if they have a steady supply of dream material and energy. They also require food and water, but nowhere near as much as a human.
- Breeding: Unlike Dravani, Gelbanas are not able to asexually reproduce. They can only reproduce sexually. From conception to birth usually takes 9 months. The child, no matter the generation, is always Gelbana. There is no degeneration of race via breeding when it comes to the Gelbana.
- However, there is a rare chance for the child to be male instead of female. In this case, a male is able to sire a mix breed, whose line will eventually die off and lose almost all of their Gelbana blood. These mix breeds are not as long lived, living only on average 80 to 130 years. As each generation goes forward, there is a decline in what abilities they are able to use.
- Culture: Gelbanas are more like vagabonds, due to how most Dravani view them as impure or mistakes. As such, each Gelbana has their own unique way of life and morals but tend to be more self-centered.
