↳ sage; it's more of a code name. she wouldn't risk her name to be revealed to anyone when she's hacking or doing some work stuff so she started to search for another name. out of nowhere, the name sage came across her and she actually likes the name and later on she starts using it.

↳ hyunjoo's parents have planned it all out. they're going to be married and they'll have kids on the third year of their marriage. everything worked out and soon, the little baby, kang hyunjoo was born. the thing is, hyunjoo was different from the other kids. she started to walk when she was six months old and talk when she was just about to reach the age of one. that's not really a surprise because her parents also came from a well-educated family and their jobs are really hard to achieve unless you have a really smart brain. hyunjoo was forced to learn since she was still little. she has never play outside or made any friends during her childhood. all she did was learn and learn. it was very frustrating for her. but then again, she couldn't go against her parent's will. her days were filled with numbers, equations, and things to memorize. growing up, she was put into some private schools. she had a really rough time socializing and the kids ended up making fun of her when she stuttered or stumbled with her words. the worse thing was that everything she did was never enough for her parents. they would get really angry if she didn't get a perfect score. she just wanted to be like any other kids. she wanted to have fun, to enjoy her life. but it's only a dream for her, a dream that won't come true. getting into college was not a problem. she graduated really early and it was finally time to decide what job she was going to take. she got a lot of offers to work in famous companies or offices but she was never interested in those kind of things. she didn't want to spend her days doing some boring works or stupid researches. she wanted to have fun for once. to use her brain for something thrilling and full of adventures. being a detective seemed like a good idea. but, her parents rejected the idea. they wanted her to be a doctor or a lawyer or some shit and clearly hyunjoo didn't want to work as any of them. and for the first time, hyunjoo stood for herself. hyunjoo had a long fight with her parents. they even threatened her that if she decided to become a detective, she would be kicked from the family. she just didn't care anymore. without further ado, she moved out from her house, cutting any relation with her parents and finally, did what she wanted to do.

↳ private schools were always hyunjoo's parents  choices for her. but since she's little she was always locked in her room to study. she has never talked to anybody other than her parents and a bunch of private teachers her parents hired. so she was lacking a lot in her social skills. when she first entered school, she was extremely nervous. beads of sweat kept on showing on her pale face. a lot of kids have already made friends with each other but she just stood there alone, not knowing what to do. then some random kid showed up and looking from his expression, hyunjoo knew that he wasn't going to be nice. "what's your name, nerd?" hyunjoo hates being called as a nerd. just because she wear glasses that doesn't mean that she's one. well, hyunjoo admitted that she's a bit nerdy but that boy is  just being plain rude. she wanted to say all of that to the boy in front of her but she just couldn't bring herself to do it. "uh... u-um, my name... it's.. ah-" soon, the random kid started to laugh his ass off. "you can't even speak?! you're such a geek!" his voice was loud enough for everyone to her and they started laughing too. to sum it all up, it was the worst day of hyunjoo's life.

in class, hyunjoo has always been the smartest. she answered all of the questions the teacher gave correctly and has always got good grades. other students were really envy and they would say, "don't talk to her. she'll bore you out with her equations or whatever she knows." she learned to ignore them and just mind her own business rather than spending her precious time talking to bunch of imbeciles.

—hyunjoo isn't that talkative as a person. she doesn't really speak up unless she's asked to. she isn't good with her words either so she often just replies a person with a nod or a hum.  (unless she's with the executor, she will definitely talk more around her.) there's a lot of time when THE DETECTIVES are messing around and having a good time, hyunjoo would just sit there and stay silent with a smile on her face, enjoying the happy looks on their face. she's rarely given the task of interrogations because honestly, she doesn't know what to talk about and will mess it all up.

hyunjoo has had glasses since she was seven years old. she hates when she has to take it off because she can't see anything. it's been a part of her, she said. though, she often changes frames of the glasses like almost twice each month. the executor would annoy her by stealing her glasses and hyunjoo'd be stuck in her desk, afraid she'll stumble and fall if she stands up and searches for the executor and her beloved glasses.

she enters college at the age of 18 (she was in a study program) and finished her master when she's about to reach 20. she took math and computer programming in college, still one of the best out of the others who graduated.

she couldn't go asleep without something for her to hug/hold. she often falls asleep on the department while hugging one of THE DETECTIVES member. she also moves a lot in sleep and sometimes sleep-talked. the other members would tease her for what she said in her sleep. she once said, "i'm gay for the executor" and the members talked about it for days.

↳ he grew up in a pretty rough family. his father was a drunker who cheated on her mom a lot meanwhile his mom was suicidal. he has never felt love in any way. but, he tried to be a good kid for his parents. he tried to get a good score and he helped with the chores at home. all he wanted is a pat from his parents and maybe a "you did well, son." but never even once have his parents did that. he thought that it was his fault. that he wasn't good enough and he will never be. during his high-school year, his father left and marry another woman, leaving jimin and his mother by themselves. his mother couldn't work and they were so poor to the point were jimin had to stop learning in school because her mother didn't have enough money to pay the school fee. they barely even ate. after three months, her mother couldn't take it anymore. she killed herself, leaving jimin alone. jimin was really depressed. he didn't have someone to lean on. he didn't know what to do. he starved himself and the house he was living in was not safe enough for him to stay. he kept on thinking, why did everybody left him? at that moment, he was on the verge of killing himself, he wanted all the pain to end. but then he met seokjin. seokjin told him about everything THE WANTED and asked him to join. it wasn't honourable, the things they did. but for the first time, jimin felt like home. and he didn't want to let the feelings go.

►scenario in which they met:
↳ it was supposed to be a mission for hyunjoo. the other girls were really busy so none of them can do it. the task was to go to a bar jimin usually visits and get informations about him and his group. if possible, arrest him too. hyunjoo was panicking because she was supposed to make a conversation with a man she barely knew. let alone, he's a criminal.

once hyunjoo entered the bar she immediately started to look for jimin. and there he was, sitting on one of the chair with a glass of wine in his hand. hyunjoo felt like dying at the moment. she wanted to just run away but she must do the mission. awkwardly, she walked towards him and sit right next to him. she mumbled an order to the bartender, "a lemon tea, p-please." jimin's attention was then drawn to her. "a lemon tea? you went to a bar full of liquor and ordered a lemon tea?" he let out a soft laugh before resting his head on his hands, staring at hyunjoo, "interesting." hyunjoo felt like she was out of breath, a little struck by jimin's beauty. "y-yeah, i'm not really i-in the mood to get drunk " jimin nodded and smiled, "well, what are you doing alone in this bar, buttercup?" hyunjoo cringed at the pet name jimin gave and then started to panic a little. 'shit, what should i say?' was pretty much the only thing on her head. she slowly turned her head to jimin, only to be amazed once again by his visuals. "you're so ethereal- i mean- um... oh god-" jimin eyes formed a pretty crescent shape at hyunjoo's reply. he wanted to squeal at the cuteness of the girl but stopped as he realised something. the man then stood up, placing some money on the bar table, "well thank you, you're not so bad either. and... a little piece of advice," he came closer and whispered into hyunjoo's ear, "try hiding your badge, detective." with that he walked away, leaving hyunjoo who was too confused and shock at jimin's action to even try to run after him.

(um, my boring ass didn't know what to write and i'm aware that they're freelance detectives but let's just assume that they have their badges or something hehe)

►first impression:
↳ he thought that she was really dumb and her effort to trick him was one of the worst. although jimin admitted that the girl was pretty cute and he kind of hoped that they'll meet again.

►middle impression:
↳ once they meet again, jimin learned that first impressions may be wrong. hyunjoo was actually a very smart lady and for the first time in jimin's life, he felt shy and nervous around her. who knew that the infamous playboy would stutter and blushed like crazy when he's with a girl?

►end impression:
↳ jimin felt like he could really relate with hyunjoo. they both are used to not being good enough for someone. but jimin wanted hyunjoo to know that she's way more than enough for him. he looked at her as if she's the most perfect thing in the whole world. he sometimes felt bad for her because he knew that the situation they must handle is killing her. he hated the fact that they came from a really different and opposite world. but at that moment, all he could do was to love and to protect hyunjoo and to hope that things would get better soon.

↳ 'i'm talking to a god' was literally the first thing that popped out in hyunjoo's mind. his whole appearance was just gorgeous. the way he talked was really alluring and it caught her off guard. she couldn't stop thinking about him after their first meeting.

↳ she found herself being attracted to his personality. she would never imagine a man like jimin would cooed at cat videos. she had troubles talking to the other members of THE WANTED but with jimin, it all seemed a bit easier.

►end impression:
↳ she thought that she's the luckiest girl in the world for having jimin by her side. the boy wouldn't spend a second without complementing hyunjoo about her everything and it really made her warm and soft. he became one of the most important person for hyunjoo. it did cause some conflict in herself. she's a detective who was supposed to arrest a criminal who is now her lover. she had a little mental breakdown for a while but then decided that love is the right path and it shouldn't matter who jimin is as long as they love each other.

►how they act around each other:
↳ hyunjoo mainly just stays quiet and and steals some quick glances of jimin while the boy would tease her all the time with cheesy pickup lines (even though he tried his best not to choke because of his nervousness). though hyunjoo sometimes would play with jimin's hair or tiny fingers without her realising and the both of them would ended up being embarrassed. jimin loves being around hyunjoo and he gets a lot more clingy around her and sometimes a bit possessive with her. later on, hyunjoo became the only person who can persuade jimin into changing his mind. they're that cute couple who is probably too shy to even hold each other's hand but once they're in their zone, they're the sweetest pair of human yet.

►why he likes her:
↳ he loves that she's full of knowledge. he learned a lot of things from hyunjoo and he appreciates the fact that she's not like other girls who only chased him only because of his looks. he enjoys watching her gets serious when she's reading a book or doing her job. he feels that hyunjoo genuinely care for him even though she doesn't show it in the most direct way. it's cute to see her getting really shy when jimin caught her doing something nice for him. she may not be the best at communication but she sure knows how to make jimin's heart melts.

►why she likes him:
↳ jimin brings a whole new side to hyunjoo. the duality of the man made hyunjoo often wondered in confusion. he can be a fluffball but then a sexy beast in almost two seconds. they way jimin cries over little things made hyunjoo realised that the man is actually vulnerable and she likes him more knowing that he has his soft spots too. she likes the way he makes her feel loved all the time. she doesn't have to worry about a thing when she's with jimin. she's safe and happy in his embrace, always.
