  3. Hi,
  4.
  5. To message triage/routing team: I would appreciate if you could please forward this to Search, specifically the team(s) that handle the way results are presented.
  6.
  7. PLEASE LET ME KNOW (comment or email) if this is not possible - I have some other possible ways I might be able to get in touch, and want to try one at a time. Thanks! :) :)
  8.
  9. To follow up, request further details, or provide a direct point of contact, my email is [email protected] - and thanks in advance.

  13. I am unsure where/how to submit this feedback; the Google Product Support forums is an extremely toxic, "lowest common denominator" environment that I'd prefer to avoid. It would be a better use of everyone's time if I can share directly without having to wrangle the bus factor of 1,000 angry reply comments from people feeding their persecution complexes or whatever.
  14.
  15. So, the new "›" method of delineating search results is... I get the impression it's being tested in production. :D
  16.
  17. Here's some feedback, in case this is useful.

  133. Important Comment: The three randomly selected project names in the first query show where the category detector isn't firing. Most sourceforge projects show a category, as shown. This amounts to information leakage for a prioritization scheme for "less popular" URLs - perhaps these skipped being queued in an expensive tensor/mapreduce job, or full HTML rendering is required on SF to detect categories, etc.

  307. Thanks for taking the time to read through this. I have no questions about this change; the decision leave it or revert it may well already have been set in stone. I'm vaguely aware of intent to try and move people off seeing URLs as significant and just look at `https`, so my own intent in providing this feedback is just in case there is interest in correctly canonicalizing URL parsing, which I suspect (...or at least hope...) there is.
