  1. It had been a while since the last time Galrogg had left Gehenna to go.. Hunting. Where was the time to do that! To entertain himself a little.
  2.
  3. The creature had decided that he could start by looking through the marshes, a location near his nest, and that contained some creatures that might prove to be an good prey.. Probably.
  4.
  5. Upon arriving at the place, from far away the creature had sensed something.. An presence that disgusted the creature's senses, something he might call 'holy'? Yes.. Just like that guy, 'Ulrich'.. Or something like that.
  6.
  7. Before long, the demon shark had gone toward the source of such a presence. Where when he arrived at the place, he had come across a human.. One that he had seen a few times in Gehenna, but they never spoke with each other.. Good.
  8.
  9. Galrogg leaps toward Yandir, stopping in front of the human. The shark started chattering his teeth against each other, making a metallic sound, "
  10. What we have here.. You're familiar to me.. Aye! I've seen you before.. Not that it matters much, no. But your presence had caught my attention.
  11.
  12. Who are you?” He had asked, in a guttural voice.
  13. (Galrogg)
  14.
  15. Yandir simply watches Galrogg from where he lingered, with eyes half-lidded and profoundly uninterested. Or perhaps, this was a mere defensive mechanism that mutely screamed get lost. He rocked forward in his spot at the bench, turning his face away from the shark-like aberration.
  16.
  17. Since the Expedition's end, the sarradian had been too busy gloomily brooding over Eshmun's death to find respite for his own mind, and the approach of a demon who was so exceedingly vile in comparison to, say, more amiable presences such as Eiphraem's or Akgvunde's was not a welcome one, at all.
  18.
  19. "I am afraid that does not concern you, wight-"
  20.
  21. His fingers snapped, and from their point of attrition, sprouted a tall flare of holy, much like a blowtorch's flame.
  22. (Yandir)
  23.
  24. Listening to what the human had said, the creature just smiles, bending a little closer to him. In his mouth, was two rows of jagged teeth, above and below.. An somewhat menacing sight.
  25.
  26. "Hehe.. Apparently ya don't look to be in an good mood.
  27.
  28. I wanted to get some entertainment, just an bit, ya know?" After saying that, the demon poked the human in the chest, pushing him back, a little.
  29.
  30. Galrogg had come to this place for entertainment, to hunt for something.. Now that something was not specifically an animal. Well, humans were animals, but at least they had some intelligence. Probably?
  31. (Galrogg)
  32.
  33. Yandir slowly reclines to the backrest of his seat, in a fashion so weighty and haggard, every plank of that bench creaked in response. The disinterest in his eyes had now turned into angst and frustration, so intense they seemed able to orbit out of their scope and lash out with menacing tangibility.
  34.
  35. "Entertainment?"
  36.
  37. The rising dap that burned away from his digits coalesced into a narrower, edged form, much like a blade. The lad's lips parted to speak once again, but now they were bent into a crooked, rancorous smile- as fake and obviously vindictive as they came.
  38.
  39. "Do I look like a clown, demon?"
  40.
  41. "Choose your words wisely."
  42.
  43. (Yandir)
  44.
  45. Apparently this human was well 'fallen'.. Weakened emotionally. Something Galrogg had seen in some other people, several times. And little 'push' could make him collapse.
  46.
  47. "Yeah, entertainment! You know, something I do a lot is hunting. Where ma preys are varied, aye?" Again the creature smiled.
  48.
  49. Something Galrogg had noticed during his stay in Gehenna was that little words could move people around. Where something said wrong can bring fury, sadness.. Among other feelings in humans. Where for the shark, this was just entertainment!
  50.
  51. "A clown? I honestly don't know what that is.. But maybe?" He said, bringing his hand to his chin.. If he had one.
  52.
  53. The creature was young, where he had still discovered little about this world.. He had much to learn.
  54.
  55. A 'dark' presence began to emanate fromthe demon.. Such a presence that would attract the attention of lesser demons in the region, such as Yandir could notice from afar.
  56. (Galrogg)
  57.
  58. [12:30] Yandir reaches for Galrogg's neck, casting his same holy-clad hand onto its flesh.
  59. (Yandir)
  60.
  61. ( Pursue.. My demons is fat. )
  62.
  63. [12:31] Even if the demon wanted to dodge, he was too slow..
  64. (Galrogg)
  65.
  66. "You don't seem to comprehend your overall position, vermin."
  67.
  68. As Yandir's fingers sunk into the slick, cold flesh of Galrogg, they would pinch inwards, seeping holy into his predominantly occult-imbued form in order to cause as much torment as he could manage to distill. The expression that distorted the sarradian's face was now fury.
  69.
  70. "The gall you have to pester me so, as I grieve my fallen brother, and you dare to defile his lawn. The impertinence you sport, when looking at the face of a son of Gehenna and confess you wish to hunt within the span of our lands."
  71.
  72. From the sarradian's form, emanated dense, streaming rivulets of energy, coursing through the air much like undercurrents. That was raw mana in its crudest form, violating the integrity of the violet grass they stood upon, and lightly singing the kaor's flesh.
  73.
  74. The latch of his digits tightened, as he aimed to choke Galrogg in an overbearing display of might. Slowly, Yandir would attempt to lower the demon's face onto the ground, in order to subdue him.
  75.
  76. "Kneel and beg. Kneel and beg for forgiveness- the day you intrude the security of one within these lands, creature, is the day I put an end to your miserable existence."
  77.
  78. It escaped Yandir why Elyon tolerated most pure, occult-aligned demons. Perhaps he'd have to consult the Hirai on it.
  79.
  80. (Yandir)
  81.
  82. And then.. The demon got what he wanted. It had attenuated the feelings of the human! Where with that, Yandir had assaulted him.
  83.
  84. With the human's finger sinking into the demon's skin, tentacles began to emerge from various parts of Galrogg's body. Such tentacles were made of an black water that pulsted with occultic energy, where such tentacles had begun to move toward Yandir's arm, to grab him.
  85.
  86. The creature began to shake its body menacingly, its presence growing, its eyes turning red and its mouth opening even wider. Minor demons rose from the swamp waters, heading toward the Kaor to help him.
  87.
  88. Black water, like that of the tentacles, began to drip to the ground from the creature. Starting to flood the place.. And even creating more tentacles.
  89.
  90. "Kneel and beg, me? Kneeling is what humans do, it's what they always did to survive. They can't fight, they are weak.. And so they need to beg for their lives.
  91.
  92. Me in the other hand, I am demon, ma specie will never kneel down.. No. We always will stand up and continue to fight! Until the death." At the end of his speech, more tentacles arose and went toward Yandir, trying to push him away from the demon.
  93.
  94. The creature smiled, jumping into the black water that he had produced, submerging in it.
  95. (Galrogg)
  96.
  97. Blow after blow, Yandir struck true upon Galrogg's squirming flesh, as it reactively writhed against the potent mixture of holy and ether. Every ounce of its substance screamed righteous might in a combination that, ironically, seemed all too spiteful.
  98.
  99. Volleys of bright mana were shot towards the demon in an unstoppable, vicious assault, tearing holes through the walls of lesser demons that surrounded it and eventually reaching the creature itself.
  100.
  101. Every passing second spelt damnation- as the battle progressed, Yandir's power only seemed to heighten, perforating through the natural boundaries of a magi's limits. It was an awesome sight, but also all too frightening.
  102.
  103. "Then prove your supremacy- lest you will be obliterated by a weak human such as I."
  104.
  105. A final, energy-bathed punch was rung against the abomination's narrow temple, sending it reeling. Galrogg would likely feel as if he had been infected by a furtherly seeping, stringent influx of mana, causing the spot where he had been bruised to throb.
  106. (Yandir)
  107.
  108. With the field flooding with black water, the creature swam, as if it were in the sea. He used his powers to attack Yandir at all the time, creating tendrils of this black water, that attacked the human too.
  109.
  110. The being tried what he could, but the combination of skills that the human magi had was strong.. He had to be more careful. And attack when he had a chance. And honestly, this was being 'fun', on some level.
  111.
  112. The creature emerged from the water, roaring toward Yandir, "Come on, human! I'm having so much fun with our little 'fight'!
  113.
  114. Show me that you're not a weak human!” Said the being, jumping back into the water.
  115.
  116. In the place where the creature submerged, more tendrils arose, where such already began to attack the human. Increasingly, more demons with maritime appearances appeared, joining the battle.
  117. (Galrogg)
  118.
  119. -- Lost the fight --
  120.
  121. Perm Injury
  122.
  123. It all transpired as his instincts foretold: with every second that went by in which Galrogg allowed Yandir to remain standing, the sarradian's potency grew exponentially. The etheric aura that surrounded him was roused into a pillar of blinding, golden light, lighting the surroundings of the Dreadwoods and its swamp.
  124.
  125. "You will show respect to Gehenna. You will bow and show subservience to us. This audacity is not tolerated."
  126.
  127. As Galrogg limped, collapsing before the lad's assault, Yandir took hold of one of the demon's hands, holding it by the large stub of its middle finger. It was clear that, with all he had gone through, that the youth had grown a taste for cruelty- or perhaps he simply saw such brutal measures as a necessity to maintain order and promote the prospect of a progressive future.
  128.
  129. "Let us see how you shall hunt my kin with one less tool of destruction. Your claws will not touch one of us- not today, not ever..."
  130.
  131. Yandir's eyes lit up, expulsing mana-flames from their orbits, and the aura that surrounded him finally became truly scorching, eventually transmitting its caloric output to where the combatants touched. From that spot, spread a charring crust, that slowly proliferated to the entirety of Galrogg's hand to carbonize and spread golden, magma-like veins along its extension. The creature's hand had been grilled into a shriveled, burned, hanging stump.
  132.
  133. "... and your fangs will bring harm only to yourself."
  134.
  135. With a forceful pitch, Yandir forced the demon's scorched forearm into its mouth, latching that limb's frame between its rows of sharp teeth. The intention was clear, now. An incredible pressure built around the two, and the influence of the sarradian's might seemed to even grow.
  136.
  137. A powerful, lightning-quick kick found Yandir's heel clashingwith Galrogg's maw, forcing it shut, and inevitably tearing off the singed remainder of the demon's hand that had been cast into its mouth. It was done.
  138.
  139. "Might makes right, but even then, I will give you a final chance,"
  140.
  141. "Kneel and beg."
  142. (Yandir)
  143.
  144. The Lord Kaor had tried everything he could.. He had used all his powers, but still he was weak.. Too weak to hunt is prey. He needed to grow a lot more. Gather more power.. But for now, he needed to escape.
  145.
  146. When the creature emerged from the water, floating after being hit by Yandir's powers.. He hoped the combat was over, but the human still reserved something for the creature.
  147.
  148. Weakened by that combat, the creature was at Yandir's mercy, where the human took the opportunity to severely wound the demon. Where using his powers, the man had ripped Galrogg's left hand! The creature roared at the act, but then Yandir made the demon eat his own hand.. What an joke.
  149.
  150. Normally the creature would find it funny.. If it wasn't with him. Without having many choices, the being swallows his own hand, showing only his teeth to Yandir.
  151.
  152. "Filthy creature.. You will pay for it. I will hunt you and your offspring and everyone of ya people, devouring each one of you.." He said through his teeth, in a guttural voice.
  153.
  154. While the human was speaking, more demons appeared.. They jumped at Yandir, attacking him and thus opening a breach for the creature to flee. Galrogg, holding the stump that was now his left hand, had leapt into the swamp waters, fleeing from that spot.
  155. (Galrogg)
