  1. This is the description of a video made by a youtuber that is not available anymore. It goes into detail on how the machines are not serviceable for you as the end user. For example, bearing blocks are epoxied into the machine, making it impossible to change them. You need to send in the machine for that. Outside of warranty, be prepared to pay for it. A couple of bucks for a few bearings, the replacement of which is to be expected over normal use, now has bare shipping costs that are a large multiple of what the bearings cost. Plus whatever the manufacturer will charge for it (replacement of the entire part the bearings are glued into + labor). The printer is literally a one and done unserviceable machine with an expiration date.

  5. Long story short, Bambulabs sent me a machine with an obvious manufacturing defect that they refused to acknowledge for 10 days, with numerous back and forth messages with their support team. Finally, after disclosing that I run a youtube channel, they checked with their higher-ups and authorized a return and replacement.

  7. After doing some more research, I have discovered the frame is GLUED TOGETHER. so it makes it almost impossible to service. Futhermore, the idler bearings for the Y axis carriages are press-fit into blind holes, which means they cannot be removed or replaced, they are just throwaway items.
  8.
  9. Also, those fancy carbon rods are press fit into position, and can't be user serviced. So when those bronze bushings develop some slop, you have to throw the printer away and get a new one.
  10.
  11. I would not recommend this machine to anyone, because this is essentially a throw-away printer. I'm lucky that they are willing to cover this as part of a warranty repair (maybe not after watching this video).
  12.
  13. They need to understand that bearings are WEAR ITEMS, and will need to be replaced eventually. So what do you do when they wear out? You throw it away and buy another printer? It's UNBELEIVABLE how UNSERVICABLE this machine is, and I will be doing a full-length follow-up video on this topic.
  14.
  15. With no opportunities to upgrade or repair, all of these printers are destined for the land-fill in a few years.
  16.
  17. This is a short exscript from my upcoming video on the Flying Bear Ghost 6.
  18. I cut this from the ghost 6 video so I can upload it as a standalone video, because I don't want to waste time in that video talking about the P1P.
