I'm a hardcore hololive fan, so many times I would even try to escape reality with lucid dreaming, I would be with all the other EN girls where I would often play with Amelia in her streaming room and help Calliope with her songs, but one day as I was talking to Gura, we went to my dormitory for a private talk. She immediately said, "You know you could live with us forever.." I gave her a confused look and she continued, "We understand that you live on earth and you REALLY wish to live here". I then said "How.. How did you know?" She then giggled and said "Because we've been watching you, silly!"

This was a dream come true and I almost cried right there. She then said, "I talked with Yagoo and he agreed that you would be PERFECT for Holostars EN, you just have to do...one thing". She then held my hand and looked deep into my eyes and said "...You have to kill yourself for the transfer to work correctly." I then gave her some questions, "How long do I have before the deal expires?" She then said "Yagoo said 3 months.." I added by saying "What's the most painless way?..." She giggled again, "Suicide will require pain buuut...if you want it quick...Get a gun and a nice shot to the head works.

I then agreed and she gave me a kiss on the forehead, "I know this will be tough but once it's over and done, you'll get to live here!" I then woke up and this was last week and i purchased a gun. I might actually kill myself because that dream just felt too real to be fake and my life isn't doing so grand right now anyway"
I stared at the text message on my screen in disbelief. I knew Mason was going through some tough times but this? I immediately called him, begging he didn’t already pull the trigger. "Oh thank god you called Adam! Listen last ni-" Mason sounded cheerful and aloof as if he didn’t just send me a quasi suicide note.
"Mason what the hell? Are you okay?"
"Yeah yeah I'm fine, just got a bit depressed. But Adam listen: I asked the girls and they said you could come with me. Isn’t this great?"
My heart sank into my stomach and my head started feeling dizzy.
"What?"
"Now I know this sounds bad, but I know you have a thing for Calli and…"
I felt sick. Adam had obviously lost his mind and he was coming here to kill me.
"Listen Mason, I don't even know what's happening. If you're coming here to kill me, I can't let that happen. Just.. let’s talk through this man"
"Kill you?" he asked sounding upset "Buddy I’m freeing you"
"Mason, I'm not joking here. I think you need to call a therapist or something, you're having a nervous breakdown. Just go to the hospital."
"I am not going to the hospital. I am finally going to be together with my Oshi…. I’m sorry. We’re finally go-"
"MASON IM SERIOUS" I screamed into my phone "You’re sick. You need help. None of this is real. You’re not going to some magical land of Anime Women, you’re going to die."
"Adam, you don't understand. This is all real. I'm going to live forever, I'm going to be with my Oshi. I'm going to be with them."
"Mason, listen to me. I'm going to call you an ambulance. Stay where you-"
That’s when he hung up. I tried calling him a few times since but he hasn’t picked up.

I didn't sleep at all last night. I lay awake in bed staring at the ceiling, unable to sleep. I called Mason a few more times and he wouldn't pick up. I tried calling my mom and she said she was going to drive over to my dorm and pick me up. I packed a bag and waited for her to arrive.
*ding*
My doorbell rang. When I opened it my soul almost left my body.
It was Mason.
"Hey there bro" he said as he hugged me. I noticed his eyes were bloodshot and he looked like he hadn't eaten in days.
"Mason, what the hell is going on? You sound like you're having a nervous breakdown. Are you on drugs? What's wrong?" I asked, still shocked.
"Listen man, I have something really important to tell you." He started, "You see...I have to kill you and me."
"What?" I said in shock.
"Yup. It's a requirement for the transfer. Yagoo told me to do it . I'm gonna get with my Oshi, my family, and you're going to help me!"
He had an absurdly wide smile on his face. The kind of smile only someone who completely lost it could have.
"Mason, please tell me you're joking. If you're not, I swear to god I will call the police."
"No, no, this is all real. You see I know it’s real because ai took something from the other world with me" he said pulling out a small bottle filled to the brim with dirt.
"Ame made this. For you." He grinned
"You're fucking insane." I said, trying to pull away from him.
"You're coming with me Adam. This is my chance to finally be together with my true family. I love them so much. They're everything to me. I can't lose them."
"Mason, you need help. You need to go to a hospital or something. You're going to do something very stupid if you keep this up. Please, please tell me you're joking."
"No, I'm not. Look at this." He said holding up the bottle. "It's real. It's real, Adam. I took it with me from the other world. Ame gave this to me. She made this terrarium for you, Adam." I could see tears forming in eyes.
"Mason, take a good look at what you’re holding. It’s just a jar you filled with dirt. This is not some gift some Vtuber made for you to give to me. You’re not going to get transported to some fantasy world. You are going to die. And when you die, you'll stay dead. No one can ever come back from death, Mason. Do you understand me? You will not live forever. You will die." I chose every world very carefully trying to speak in the most soothing tone i could possibly muster. "Now, give me your gun so I can call mom and we can take you to the hospital"
He stared at me with tears running down his face.
"I can't do that. I have to go to them. I can't lose them. I love them so much. I'm sorry Adam, but I can't let you stop me."
I reached for my phone to call my mom again, but before I could do anything I felt a sharp pain on the back of my head before blacking out.

I woke up several hours later in some strange warehouse.  I was tied to a chair and drawn on the ground around me were strange symbols I didn’t recognize.
"Hello there." A voice said. I looked up to see Mason. He had a gun in his hand.
"Mason, what the hell is going on?" I asked, my voice quivering.
"I talked to Yagoo. He said we’d have to do it tonight. Otherwise the gate would be closed forever" he said as he put the gun to my head.
"No. No no no no. Mason, please. Listen to me. I'm your brother. I love you. You're going to kill me and that's it. Please don't do this." I begged him.
"You're the only one who can come with me, Adam. I won’t leave you behind." He said.
"Mason, you've lost your mind. There's noother world waiting for you. Please, just listen to me." I was shaking uncontrollably.
"No. YOURE GOING TO LISTEN ADAM. I’m tired of you struggling against this. Don’t you want to come with me? Don’t you want to live together with Calli? And Gura? And Kiara and Ina and everyone else? I mean for crying out loud you’re the one who introduced me to Hololive in the first place. So why don’t just accept that what I’m doing here is for the best" he said, tears welling up in his eyes.
"Mason, please. This isn't real. It's not real. I love you. Please." I begged him.
"I’m sorry Adam. See you on the other side"

I awoke some time later in a hospital bed. I was being examined by a doctor. I couldn’t remember much from that night. The last thing I remembered was Mason holding a gun to my head trying to force me to take part in his madness.
"How are you feeling Mr. Reeves?" The doctor asked.
"Like shit" I replied.
"I'm sorry to hear that. We'll have to keep here a while longer,  until then you're going to need to stay here. I have some questions for you if you don't mind."
"Sure, go ahead" I said.
"I'd like to know more about how you came to be here. Do you remember what happened?"
My mind flashed back to that night.
"Not really." I lied "All I remember is Mason putting a gun to my head and threatening to kill me. Then I blacked out. But I remember seeing these symbols on the ground and being tied to a chair."
"Do you remember anything else?" He asked.
For the first time I took a close look at the doctor…. he seemed familiar.
"No, that’s all" another lie.
"Well Mr. Reeves, let me know if it comes back to you. Oh by the way you have some visitors" he said as he left the room.
A few minutes later I saw Mason walk through the door.
"Hey man. How are you feeling?"
My heart sank into my stomach. My entire body tensed up and I tried getting away but I couldn’t because of all the painkillers.
"Why aren’t you in handcuffs? You shot me!"
"I did, but I had to. Look around you! We finally made it! Hold on."
With that he ran out of my room. My mind was racing and I thought about every possible way to escape when I heard it. When I heard… them.

It has been two months since then. Life has been steadily getting better for me and Mason. Anyway, I’m going to keep this end paragraph short. Streams starting soon.
