  1. >You are being shook awake by Raquel, "Get up, hurry up and wake up we need you to start cooking now!"
  2. "Ugh, what what?"
  3. >"Wake up we need you to prepare a meal."
  4. "You can fucking cook so why don't you do it?"
  5. >"Because the Pharaoh demanded you."
  6. "What? There's no Pharaoh in this region."
  7. >"Well there's one here with a minor entourage and she's demanding you cook for her."
  8. "Fine, fucking fine."
  9. >You drag yourself out of bed and throw on a shirt, rushing to the kitchen where Raquel is already prepping.
  10. "You're helping?"
  11. >"There's her, an anubis, an apophis, and 3 slaves, that and the food for everyone else means you're going to need some help; and it's not like I don't know how to cook."
  12. "Not complaining I'm just surprised."
  13. >The rest of the meal preparation went in silence, the two of you working together in an almost magical display of experience and craftsmanship.
  14. >Before either of you know it the food is made and you bboth begin to bring it out, of course as soon as you do the pharaoh orders you both back into the kitchen so you can direct her slaves with how it should be handled.
  15. >Once everything is finished you both go to take your normal places next to Josephine you are stunned to find that a pair of younger shirohebi are sitting in your seats, they both look up at you apologetically, "She demanded the cooks sit next to her."
  16. >Sighing you both silently join the new comer at the other end of the table.
  17. >As you all sit down and begin to consume your food the Pharaoh begins to give you compliments.
  18. >She doesn't stop either, her compliments go from your cooking, compliments you deflect by pointing out how you couldn't it it without Raquel, to outright commenting on how nice you look.
  19. >You don't respond to that one, simply blushing and looking down as you shove food into your face.
  20. >Joshephine however responds, "Don't you think that's rather inappropriate your highness?"
  21. >For the first time the Pharoah actually deems to acknowledge her presence, "Oh? I wasn't aware a lowly priestess would know anything about what is and isn't appropriate behavior for a royal and the man she is courting."
  22. >"YOU'RE WHAT?", Josephine bellowed as she leapt to her tail.
  23. >"I'm courting anon here of course. Or did I speak to fast for your simple commoner mind?"
  24. >Of course this was when you felt it bbest to jump into the conversation in an attempt to keep the two ladies from getting violent. "Now, now I'm sure she didn't mean any of that Josupreme."
  25. >"No I did, I meant every word, especially the part about how you will be mine."
  26. >"No he won't. You don't even know him!", Josephine threw herself at the pharaoh, grabbing her and sending the both of them flying through the nearby door as their argument devolved into fisticuffs.
  27. >It was at this time the Anubbis decided to pipe up, "The food really is good, despite the behavior of my liege."
  28. >You could only stare at her in astonishment while the Aophis and most of the shirohebbis started chanting," FIGHT,FIGHT,FIGHT" while watching the two of them beat each other up.
  29. >You only let this bullshit go on for a few minutes though before stepping in and pulling the two women apart, "Ok I think we've had just about enough fighting over who does and doesn't get my hand. Especially when one of you doesn't want it in the first place and the other doesn't even know me.
  30. >"I never said I didn't want it"
  31. "Not right now Josephine."
  32. "Now then I'm sorry to be rude but i think it's time you and your entourage left."
  33. >She looked at you in surprise, "B-but what about-"
  34. "No buts", you interrupt her, "You were a guest in our temple and not only have you started a fight but you have insulted the high priestess of said temple. Not to mention I don't know you and after this display I'm not sure I want to."
  35. >She seemed truly crestfallen after hearing your words and quickly left with her entourage, once again the Anubis being the only one with the decency to apologize for the behavior of her ruler.
  36. >Josephine simply storms off while Raquel suggests you help her clean up after the fight.
  37. >As soon as you're done cleaning up you decide it would be best to go to bed and deal with the aftermath in the morning.
