  1. Just wanted to express my discontent with your test assignment/evaluation, after spending some 3-4hrs~ creating this Gleason ottoman I had 10 people review it both biased and unbiased before I even bothered to submit. After waiting for my model to be processed I'm greeted with adjustments that are inaccurate to what the initial assignment requests for completion.
  2.
  3. P1i 'smoothing groups issue'
  4. Not specified on "issue"
  5.
  6. P1g 'Overall product material - texture' 'Wrinkles on your model seem to be too intense compared to reference image. please reduce wrinkles, and add smoother wrinkles lines where needed'
  7. I believe adjusting the power of the normal image texture is a solution to this and also a more viable one vs recreating an entire normal map to reduce 'intensity'

  9. I'm unsure where/if it's listed what render engine is used to view the submissions but the lighting isn't even the same between the reference and submission. How can you give an accurate compare and contrast when the scenes aren't even sharing the same environments, things look different under different light.

  12. P1d 'overall product material - color' "The color should lean towards a very desaturated blue/purple tone with lighter variations leaning towards light grey"
  13. The texture reference provided has no hints of a desaturated blue or purples, it is an almost matte black with greys as the diffuse texture created clearly shows it is 2 colors

  15. Having a threshold example would be a massive improvement to this process, and would probably reduce the number of unqualified submissions (applicants like me).

  17. This whole assignment has felt like a giant waste of time + expectations and have made me feel inadequate in something I felt confident in, no idea if you guys take into consideration of these things but I'm sure you'd waste less of peoples' time and your own time by providing an actual 3d model as reference to let people know that this is the bar you are setting and if you can't meet that don't apply.

  19. Thanks for making what I thought would be an ok day to a haze of low self confidence and short comings! :D
