>You and Luna sit about languidly in her room late at night, both of you rather bored.
>With a shiver, you pull your jacket closer around you, winter is practically on top of the nation, and you are feeling it more than the fur clad natives.
>Luna takes notice and turns to you “Anon, is something wrong? Why are you shivering?” She asks with a tilt of her head.
>You stuff your hands in your pockets in an attempt to warm them up before you answer.
“J-just a bit, I don't have a warm coat like you and the others do so winter can get a bit uncomfortable” You manage out through lightly chattering teeth.
>The Princess frowns, obviously displeased with the news “Is there any way we-“
“I, Luna. You keep forgetting it.”
>She sticks her tongue out at you in a decidedly less than royal manner “–I can do to help?” She asks.
>You shake your head.
“It’s nothing really, it's just that I'm not a big fan of cold weather.”
>Luna ‘hmm’s in thought before in idea seemingly comes to her.
>”Anon! I know we can do tonight, and it would be a wonderful to warm you up!” She exclaims without thinking about what she was saying.
>You blush and stutter, totally unsure of what she was saying. Could she possibly mean..?
>Luna hops up and ambles for the door, oblivious to what is running around in your head and confirming that you are not going to be up to anything questionable.
>”Come Anon! I’ve got some place I want you to see.”
>You rise and follow the eager Princess. Wondering just where she what she wanted you to see that you haven't before.
>Walking out of the room then offering the bat winged guards by the door a nod, to which they return, you trail after the Alicorn this seems to be leading you to a lower part of the Castle.
>You and her walk in companionable silence down several floors until you are on the ground floor and walking towards the side of the castle built into the mountain.
>Coming to a door with no knob and no keyhole, Luna lights up her horn in a silver aura, making the door shudder and slowly swing inward on squeaky hinges.
>A wave of heat rolls out of the open doorway, bathing you in a pleasant warmth that chases away the biting cold of the hallway.
>Luna looks over her shoulder to you, a beaming smile on her face “This way!” She says “This is something I think you will truly enjoy.”
>Now you are really getting curious, what could be back there?
>Walking alongside the pony, you make your way into the warm doorway, the door which closes behind you.
>The further you and Luna venture inward, the warmer and more humid the air becomes, a she leading you into a cave? Maybe the mountain Canterlot is situated on is actually a volcano?
>The uniform stone walls around you gradually transform into those of a natural cave as the sound of running water echoes through them, making a calming melody that only something so simple could provide.
>”Here we are!”
>And you see just why Luna led you here, and you make a note to thank her a 1000 times later.

>She had just lead you to a big alcove within the mountain, a hole in the top of the ceiling revealing Luna's night sky and namesake.
>In the bowl of a crater is a large hot spring, several water lilies floating in the steaming water along with vines sporting flowers of every color tangled up the walls, creating an atmosphere so calming that just looking at it makes you slouch in your spot.
>Just above the hot spring is an outcropping of rocks where a small waterfall fell into the water below, sending out a peaceful babbling sound.
>This is beyond amazing, this has to be a work of art.
“Luna…This…this is…”
>You’re speechless, and for good reason.
>The indigo alicorn smiles her beaming smile at your reaction “Beautiful is it not? This is where Tia and I sometimes come to escape the stress associated with our status, and you are the first ever to see it besides us.”
>If you were speechless before, you are totally struck dumb by what you just heard. The first? One of only three to know this place’s existence.
>And Luna trusts you with that?
>You almost feel like crying, you had known her for less than a year and yet she easily outshines any of your old human friends.
>”Well? Come on!”
>Shaking yourself out of your stupor, you see Luna making her way to the water as she discards her slippers, tiara, and chest plate.
>She slips into the hot spring with hardly a splash, before ducking her head under leaving just the point of her horn visible, before pulling her head back up, her full mane now long and limp.
>Luna smiles gently “This is always the best, come now Anon! The water is fine.”
>You look down at your clothes and wonder just how this is going to work.
>The Princess sees were you're looking and remarks “Just take them off, no need in getting them wet.”
>You shuffle about nervously, not sure where to go from here.
“Luna. I did tell you about the whole thing with the human nudity taboo, it didn't I?” You ask, feeling your face go red.
>She nods “I don’t see why it's such a big issue I mean” she points to herself with a foreleg “I and most others walk about mostly nude all the time and yet you don't mind.”
“It’s different.” You try to counter “That’s how your whole society is, I just can't get rid of a whole lifetime of social conditioning.”
>She rolls her eyes “Anon, either get in or I'll pull you in.”
>Dammit.
“Can you at least look away?” you ask, your face burning.
>She complies and turns around, facing the waterfall.
>Fast as you can, you strip out of all your clothes and throw them into a pile where they wouldn't get wet.
“I mean it!” You say when Luna tries to turn around and take a peek.
>She winces and turns back around, an embarrassed blush on her cheeks.
>Once free of your clothes, you walk to the steamy water and slowly lower yourself into it, finding that t it’s about up to your chest when you stand.
“Alright, you can turn around.”
>Luna turns and paddles her way over so that she stood next to you, taking a moment to inspect your bare shoulders and the top of your chest.
>”I didn't really think it true you said you didn't have hair anywhere on you… “
>You shrug and lower yourself so that everything below your neck is submerged, taking in the wondrous warmth of the hot spring.
>Luna settles next you, closing her eyes in relaxation “This is quite luxurious is it not?” She asks.
>You watch the waterfall slowly churn the heated water as you nod, thinking about everything that had led up until now.
>You and the Princess relax in the hot water, light conversation coming easily to both of you as it would to two who had been friends for a decade.
>She stops abruptly in the middle of a sentence, startling you some.
“Luna? Is everything all right?” You ask with a hint of worry.
>She smiles “Of course! I just remembered something though, come with me.”
>The indigo pony makes her way to the waterfall before heading right through it, making you jump.
>You could have swore that it was solid rock on the other side of it, but apparently that's not the case as Luna calls for you beyond it.
>Slowly striding through the water, you walk through the waterfall before you feel the disorienting surge a teleportation magic, leaving you under another small waterfall.
>Walking out of it you see something incredible.
>You come out into an open-air pool filled with water the same temperature as the hot spring and see Luna you the edge of the water.
>She beckons you over eagerly and points out into the horizon.
>Looking out, you see that you are on a totally different mountain, and out in the distance is Cantorlot on its own mountain, the castle city blinking with the faint lights of the Equestrian nightlife, all of it framed by the pastel colors of the slowly rising sun.
>Truly this land must have been the work of a God waxing the most poetic of thoughts.
>You feel Luna press herself next to you as you both watch Celestia raise the Sun, both of you simply savoring the atmosphere and the touch of the other.
>When the sun is almost fully risen Luna turns to you “We might want to be going back now.”
>You can't help but agree even if you feel sad that this moment must end.
>Going back through the waterfall and teleporting into the castle hot spring, you and Luna pull yourselves from the water, with you totally forgetting about your nudity, Luna however didn't seem to mind.
>Both of you get dressed and leave back to the castle proper, where the door is closed.
>Luna sighs and lights up her horn “Ready for the worst part?” She asks dejectedly.
>You raise an eyebrow, what in the world does she mean by worst part? Then she opens the door and you realize what is.
>Luna stifles a squeal as the cold air rushes over both of you, making you feel like it was below zero.
>With a very un-princess like sprint she rushes off chanting “Cold cold cold!!” With you following after, not wanting to be in the cold air any longer than her.
>You both run past guards, maids and others to make it back to Luna’s room.
>Both you and her lay bundled up under the thick blankets, shivering worse than you were before.
>”Well A-anon? What did you think?” She asks, trying to get her quivering body under control.
>You can't help but smile
“Luna, I want to say thanks for taking me there, I didn't know that you valued me so much that you were willing to show me something that only you and your sister dared share with each other.” You say, leaning on to her.
>She blinks, and then smiles a smile that warms you to the core.
>Leaning back onto you she says “Anything for you Anon.”
>Some say a friend is just a soul within two bodies.
>And you have never felt so complete before you met this pony
