and HR or not, this has been a common sense scenario
if you have mods telling people "yeah i didn't talk to you because i wanted to avoid a headache and you can get aggressive"
then what the fuck, yo
you have mods calling people the best summation of the problems of the forums to their faces
and what i hear, is that aurea approaches him about it and he says "yeah it wasn't my best moment" and aurea says that that's his way of apologizing. by being somewhat self deprecating when i'm not even around.
you have rev calling writers greedy for wanting more attention
you have comic artists who don't give a shit, and admins who say that they're moving forward with projects that people don't actually want.
these aren't things you can change and i'm not expecting you to
but this is a mess and the non-ours private chat is just growing bigger by the day
rev and garch apparently had to talk about why flop shouldn't be a mod or an assistant mod, like aurea and others don't have plenty of logs showing how passive aggressive she can be in public and private
you base things off activity, but honestly, both from how i'm a featurer but also knowing things now, it's just practically off activity
so it's this extreme thing where the happy people are made happier, but the people who aren't happy just have more reason to stay away
which i get, you can't cater to everyone
but this is a fair amount of people.
and it's on a lot of bullshit, personal reasons that didn't have to be personal until they made it so.
raine tried talking to jim about the split and didn't get a response, even when jim said that people should pm her to discuss feedback
mag literally is worthless when it comes to being online and doing things that aren't behind the scene. which is fine! but then go invisible because certain incidients have been put aside because "mag was there and didn't do anything so i guess the person cursing people out and telling them to fucking die is fine"
and i've heard so many complaining from so many other mods that "no one else really says anything when i propose or try to handle stuff" and none of you refuse to put your foot down besides "i guess i'll nudge them"
you've been nudging them for months for so many things!
like jesus christ, guys! you  can't all be behind the scenes helpers, and if you are, make a seperate group for handling public affairs!
everyone knows the round tables are bullshit(edited)
it's just "we'll work on it" and showing how bad the mods are planning things, since you guys propose problems without showing that you made any effort to try and come up with any solutions before coming to the public and then telling the public that we're fucking wrong or what we're doing is impossible
you have mods talking in private chats and pm saying what points they want to accomplish, so everyone knows it's a false pretense

personally, what i'd do: i'd talk to aurea, glance, and maybe raine so she doesn't feel left out. they're in the public chat more than me because haha well i'm not fucking blind, embep. get their concerns officially, ask if they can provide logs for their concerns, the whole works.
you have that foundation, go to the mods.

after that? who knows. aurea's had some solutions herself but that's for her to share.
you literally can't fix this yourself but you at least know the concerns by that point and people will know one way or the other whether the mods will be completely fucking useless or if they'll finally show that they give a shit.
no one's blaming you guys 100% because they know you do stuff behind the scenes, but it's just behind the scenes
for all the harping that's been done about how ~transparent you guys are, you're not transparent for shit.
and in the ways you are, it's super skeevy "yeah i'm friends with the mods so i get gossip" way
me? i can get feedback that you might not necessarily receive explicitly because you're a mod, but this is all i can do

I appreciate the advice and that you took the time to write all of this out. I'm sorry for the stiff and drawn-out answer, but I don't know what to say and I don't want to make any promises. Your friendship means a lot to me and I don't want something like this to come in the way of it.
