ADVANCEMENT

There are two steps to advancement within the Cabal, which represent stages in your development both as a scholar in the guild and as a person.

The first is your novicehood- the Disciple stage. A small set of requirements (viewable in GHELP DISCIPLES) are placed upon you to help you become capable in the basics of handling yourself, the guild, and the world around you. After you have completed these requirements, you will need to speak to a secretary or novice aide to be checked over- to make sure that you have achieved each of the small goals laid out for you. Should you have everything complete, you will be awarded a guild favour.

Once you have passed your requirements as a Disciple, it is time to decide upon the path that you will follow toward becoming a full Cabalist- also known as guild rank three (RANK NAME). There are a couple of routes you can take at this point, and the choice is entirely yours- if you are uncertain as to which is right for you, try discussing the matter with your peers, novice aides, or the secretaries.

Whichever path you choose to walk, you will be asked to complete a set of requirements- these are intended to further your education and involvement within the guild, show your dedication to the guild and the various associated goals, and to help you grow as a person.

If you are the sort who is good at talking, writing, compiling data or all of the above, you will likely find success in the Academy (GHELP). The requirements you will be asked to complete if you choose this path relate to research and scientific study.

If you find that your interests run more into the hands-on- whether that be doing battle with other combatants or simply getting hands-on with hunting, you will likely find that the Blackwind is for you (GHELP). If you wish to learn the arts of combat, be aware that this will represent a significant investment of time and funds. Your requirements in this path mainly relate to increasing your personal strength, and collecting the various materials you will need upon the battlefield.

Once you have completed either set of requirements, you will need to speak with a secretary or novice aide to be checked over for completion. Should you be successful, you will be awarded guildfavours necessary to bring you to the third guild rank and full Cabalist status.

After you have reached the third rank, the choice for what you will pursue next continues to be yours. There are structures within both the Academy and Blackwind that- having completed the appropriate set of requirements- you should be well equipped to begin working through. You may also choose to complete the set of requirements for the other path- you will recieve the Conduit's guildfavour should you do so.


ACADEMY

Though its structures are currently under review for improvement, the Academy represents a structure designed to guide your studies in the arts and sciences of Sapience. Within the academy you will work both alone and with your peers to research, catalog and experiment with the goals of furthering your own and the Cabal's scientific understanding of the world.

BLACKWIND

The Blackwind is the Cabal's combat clan, and within it you will work with your guimates and those from beyond the guild to further your skill in the arts of combat. Though there may be some structures in place- tests for you to pass- your education within this part of the Cabal will be a largely organic matter, working on varius areas of expertise to continually improve your skills on the battlefield.
