  1. The inside of the ornate box is lined with some kind of soft, plush silky material. In the center is a dagger, the hilt wrapped with a red cloth. The dagger's blade is razor sharp and culminates in a needle-like tip. The edges of the blade have been intentionally painted to look as if they were... well, used to paint - various pastel colors slathered along the edges, the shiny steel(?) visible at the very center of the dagger where the paint tapers off.

  3. The guard of the blade is fairly utilitarian, but again it has been painted to appear as if the paint was dripping down from the blade onto the guard. The hilt is wrapped in what feels like leather, and the pommel is painted again as if it were dripping with paint. It's a bit too ornate for the good of the weapon itself, but considering it's mostly decorative (despite the sharpness of the blade, anyway) it's not much of a problem.

  5. There's a note beneath the blade, which of course has had paint dripped on it too. In neat handwriting, the note reads:
  6.
  7. "Dear Alexis,
  8.
  9. You can do it. I know you can.
  10.
  11. Merry Christmas,
  12. Mercy"
