The Golden Circle

For convenience sake this will be the list of all the NPCs, starting with the Archmagi, that are found within the Golden Circle. I only detailed the basics, so ask for any other info if needed.

Archmage of Fyria

Izumi Himura: The last remaining heir to house Himura, Izumi is the oldest Archmagus of the council, reaching several years over 300 due to a powerful cursed artifact preserving her youth in exchange for trapping her into a fox-like form. As far as Thaumaturgy goes, Izumi is widely accepted as the single most powerful being in the entire council, and as such, acts as its leading harbinger. Despite this, Izumi is only a middle-class women due to her notorious gambling and drinking habits.

Izumi is often seen draped around Nami's shoulder in her serpentine fox form.

Otherwise, her human form is a tall woman with nine fox tails, with her black hair tied up into a fishtail braid she keeps draped over the shoulder. She generally wears attire traditional to Fyria; primarily a wide assortment of different kimonos.

Archmage of Valmastre

Gustave Slater: Being one of the three direct apprentices of Izumi herself, Gustave is notorious for being the laziest man among the council. When he's not sleeping he's busy calling up late in his pajamas. Despite his incredibly relaxed demeanor, Gus' swordplay and use of raw wind Thaumaturgy is legendary.

Gus is a surprisingly young looking man due to the mana he's used for his body, and is, 90% of the time, dressed in pajamas. He seems to carry a perpetually tired and half-lidded expression, and is almost always seen bringing his trademark fox-topped cane wherever he goes.

Archmage of Floria

Clyde Bellarose: Clyde is the youngest Archmagus in the council, having recently been given his seat for proving himself as a powerful war general of the Golden Circle during the first war. During this time he worked alongside his great uncle and lead a massive resistance force to fend off against Lorcan and Temur's assault on Floria, and while the last Archmagus perished, it was Clyde who was seen as worthy of taking the empty seat.

Clyde's a somewhat middle-aged looking man with neatly groomed, stark white hair that he prefers to keep nice and long. He generally wears refined clothing, such as a gold embroidered vest with a set of dress pants/shoes.

Archmage of Razanik

Taras Valsiyev: Taras is known for having a rift between himself and Chairman Poltzin, as the former generally prefers a far more peaceful approach to getting matters done and over with, whereas the latter tends to be a bit harsh in the fact he'd match rather prove his nation's strength through productivity and military power. Regardless, Taras is beloved by the Razanikan people both for his political prowess and willing to innovate Thaumaturgical technology. Known worldwide for his ridiculously vast mana-pool, Taras is famed for his ability to create artifacts with just his raw mana alone.

Due to his vast mana pool Taras looks like he's just starting to reach towards the end of his middle age, with a wrinkled complexion and bald head splotched with a few liver spots.

Archmage of Barione

Salvador Escarra: Salvador is a bit disliked among his own people, as he doesn't show any intentions to ever step in or provide a means of restoring the country back to its former glory. Salvador's age and devotion has lead him to finding unique secrets in Thaumaturgy, allowing for him to bypass a few of the rules and laws that are normally applied to creating spells. Oddly enough, however, Salvador has never been able to use this knowledge to find a proper cure for his blindness.

Salvador is quite old, and his appearance actually reflects this. He has a wrinkly complexion with graying hair, complete with a long beard that falls down to his chest.

Archmage of Atros

Nickolas Vissarion: Nickolas is a relatively old member of the council that has always had a deep interest in innovating for magical technology. He's known worldwide for collaborating with Taras in inventing countless pieces of unique equipment to help better all of Nobella. Examples of these feats include special filters that are now a standard in all Thaumaturgical labs to prevent the flux, as well as golems being capable of responding in a more complex manner than simple commands.


Nickolas is very scrawny for a mage, only about 5'3 in height too. He has a short crop of blonde hair connected to bushy sideburns. Additionally, he always sports a pair of aviator goggles and enormous leather gloves that he tucks his sleeves into.

Archmage of Malkan

Feylin: As expected, Feylin is one of the many harpies found within Malkan's populace. Unlike most Archmagi, Feylin herself actually acts as the political leader of Malkan and is charged with making all decisions for the betterment of her nation. During the war, Feylin aided her father, Kwane and Izumi in directly leading the vast battles that took place on the western half of Nobella. When her father had succumbed to battle, she was immediately appointed the Archmagus to take his seat. Feylin is known for her monstrous strength, and is probably the most powerful magus of the council when it comes to raw strength.

Feylin is a blue winged Harpie that possesses a surprisingly waifish frame like most Harpies. What catches the eye the most is her ridiculously long hair, which she generally always styles in intricate ways.

Archmage of Zhen

Kwane Cho: Yet another one of the veterans of the Golden Circle. Kwane spearheaded the front line of the war between the Apostles and the Orient, and is known primarily for being the one man that managed to place the killing blow on Pera during the war. Known by his people as the 'Flaming Hydra', Kwane has mastered a variety of Thaumaturgical spells and possesses a unique artifact that effectively renders him nigh-immortal.


Kwane is a somewhat muscular man that possesses an incredibly youthful appearance despite his old age, with neatly groomed black hair and a leather belt with three large bells strung across his chest.

Roselle Raven: A renown military veteran that easily makes it out as one of the strongest Thaumaturges serving under Valmastre. Roselle is most known for being the Praetor that watches over Fort Raven at Northern Command, a tradition that's been going on through her family line for years at a time.

Roselle is a somewhat stocky woman with a patch placed over her left eye. She has light blonde hair that falls past her shoulders in curly locks.

Venera Marciel: Another one of the Thaumaturges originally stationed in Kaltesberg. Being relatively young in terms of experience, she tends to be very rambunctious and headstrong when it comes to things, charging straight ahead as opposed to taking things slow. Venera possesses the ability to manipulate metal and machinery to a certain degree, granting her the moniker 'Howler' due to her being capable of transforming her limbs into chainsaw-like appendages for combat.

Venera is a young woman with clipped up ginger hair. Her face possesses a dash of freckles, and is generally hidden by a bandanna when not lowered to expose her razor sharp, filed teeth.

Lawrence Raven: Roselle's younger brother. As expected, Lawrence is considered Roselle's right-hand and serves under her up in the Northern Command. During the war first war, Lawrence made himself known by acting as an important soldier that aided in fighting against Alucard's ghoul army. While not exactly skilled in his own field of Thaumaturgy, Lawrence instead relies on several artifacts that allow him to put his above-average mana reserves into use.

Lawrence is basically a very large bear of a man, standing at about 6'5 in height with a hulking, muscular build. He's bald with a vague bit of shadow covering up his chin, but usually keeps it clean shaven.

Magdelaine/Maggs Oirschott: One of the direct apprentices of Nickolas, and an important member of the Atrosian bomb corps. Maggs essentially leads the demolition of countless buildings and uses her magic to bring down the leftover factories or skyscrapers that plague Atros' landscape. Maggs is known for preferring to take her time in drawing out her catalysts, using a variety of spray paints to create the proper circle before setting it to blow, despite having a variety of tattoos around her hands.

It's the whole nine yards with Maggs, with dyed red~pink hair, multiple piercings, spiked choker, she's definitely one of the more outgoing Thaumaturges when it comes to style. Almost always carries around two-three cans of spray paint.

Brian Black: He's hot. He's handsome. He's BRIAN BLACK. Brian Black is a world-famous celebrity renown for using a special form of Thaumaturgy that allows him to create his own personal special effects, typically in the form of fireworks and other pyrotechnics. He mainly works as a solo rock star/dancer, and when not singing he's most known for his star role multiple movies. Most people probably didn't expect the fact that Brian is actually a very intelligent Thaumaturge, however. So intelligent, in fact, that he was entrusted to work alongside Nickolas in repairing the battle sphere.

Brian Black is a relatively handsome man with long, black hair that's always neatly groomed no matter what the occasion. He also takes a liking to wearing flamboyant clothing, particularly his sparkly jacket and pants.

Natalie/Nats Segher: Nickolas' young apprentice. Nat comes from a small line of Thaumaturges that have recently been serving closely under Nickolas as fellow researchers; Ren and Nat themselves aren't exactly well known, but their father was renown for serving in the circle and assisting in the downfall of Alucard himself. Overall, Nat's Thaumaturgy is unique in the fact that she's capable of manipulating almost every element...but dedicates solely to punching things.

Nats is a tanned woman with a somewhat lithe frame, with sandy blonde hair cut into a neat bob cut. Her right arm is replaced entirely with a metallic, prosthetic counterpart. As a result, she typically prefers to wear some form of overcoat to hide its appearance.

Ren/Rens Segher: Nats' half-brother. Rens himself prefers not to really speak to others due to his inability to really form a coherent conversation; despite this, he's actually the pilot of what the circle considers to be the world's fastest airship, the Windshear. Rens is known for researching heavily into the aspect of Nothing, which unfortunately resulted in him requiring a constant stream of music/sound in order to keep himself from going insane. To counter this, he's studied heavily in the use of sound-based Thaumaturgy, and even created his own artifact with the help of Nickolas.

Rens wears a unique headset artifact at all times. The headset allows him to replay/listen to anything he's heard in the past. Rens is somewhat lanky, with obnoxiously bright orange hair and a pale complexion.

Felix Dressler: Felix is somewhat young to be counted among the golden circle, and is the most recent apprentice of Taras. Despite being entirely new, he's still considered one of Taras' most trusted agents and frequently sends him and his partner, Armel, on several missions in the past. Being the wielder of the cursed blue dragon artifact, Felix is capable of using this to make his ice Thaumaturgy even more feared than before.

As stated before Felix is a young lad with a small and even somewhat scrawny build. Due to the flux, his hair ended up mutating to stark white, and is kept just long enough to make a small rat tail. Due to his artifact his right arm is wrapped in a series of black to hide its form.

Uriel Gloedrig V: The current king of Valmastre! A very jolly man, Uriel is known for always treating everything and everyone with respect and honour. Known as an avid swordsman, Uriel's bladework is quite possibly the second strongest among the circle, with only Gustave rising above him. His Father, Uriel IV, was the creator of the original Golden Circle that fell Kane's army; naturally, Uriel V is seen as one of the most important beings among the circle.

Uriel is a clearly old man with a receding, grey hairline. He has a bushy beard reaching down to his chest.

Dylan Taylor: One of the Praetors of Valmastre. Dylan himself is a strategical mastermind only hindered by his awful work habits, and is known for basically using his subordinates for slave labor by making them do all his work for them. Despite his lazy attitude, Dylan is known for his powerful use of a unique branch of flame Thaumaturgy that harnesses combustion, allowing him to weave quick, yet effective blasts of fire.

Dylan's a tall, handsome man with black hair reaching near his shoulders.

Skyler Tesset: Yet another Thaumaturge from Valmastre -- or 'Alchemist', as he stubbornly insists. Skyler was one of the Thaumaturges tasked under Dylan to head off into Cyprus to investigate the marks appearing, before shortly after learning of Alucard's revival. Overall, Skyler's Thaumaturgy relies mainly on synthesizing materials/properties into each other. E.G Enchanting.

Skyler's a blonde haired man that's almost never seen without his long coat or oversized hammer.

Elaine: Skyler's harpie girlfriend. Elaine was pretty much just a harpie messenger that happened to stop by Skyler's house to inform him of his mission for Uriel, shortly before the rise of the Apostles. For some unknown reason, Skyler decided to bring her with him along the trip, and over time the two blossomed into a happy loving couple!

Elaine has curly red hair and matching feathers around her arms/wings. Like most harpies, she has a relatively waifish/thin build.

Joan Irving: Joan is a cool-headed yet stern girl that most soldiers admire for great work ethic. A former sniper of the Valmastran army, Joan was eventually convinced to study beneath her childhood friend, Dylan, and eventually branched out into her unique form of flame Thaumaturgy. Capable of utilizing solid blocks of flame, Joan has proven herself more than useful on the battlefield.

Joan's a somewhat short yet stocky woman, with red hair kept in a pixie cut.

Leo Harland: Leo is a Thaumaturge that generally tries to always keep to the optimistic side of things, and is known for being somewhat of an airhead despite also being a very talented Thaumaturge. He's known among his peers for his frequent dates despite his terrible luck in the girl department. His Thaumaturgy is known for its mastery over machinery, capable of creating complex things such as cannons at a moment's notice.

Leo's a man with spiky blonde hair and a rather large amount of piercings; several for both ears, a few studs near the brows. Both his hands are intricately tattood with various Thaumaturgical symbols forming along each of his fingers and palms.

Doctor Jonathan Vera: Jonathan is probably one of, if not the most well known Thaumaturge in all of Valmastre. Referred to as the 'Healing' Thaumaturge, Jonathan has all-but perfected the use of medical Thaumaturgy and is known for his expert ability of mending any and all wounds, no matter how severe. Unfortunately, Jonathan is severely autistic and is unable to really hold proper conversations, and as such withdraws himself to avoid embarrassment.

Jonathan is basically a nerd. With gold-rimmed glasses and a somewhat pointy nose. He has a short goatee and a rather bushy set of sideburns. His hair is a bit long, generally kept up in a short ponytail.

Doctor Albrecht Stiner: The leading researcher of the three Valmastran doctors. Stiner was the one that lead the team to conducting various Thaumaturgical experiments and innovations. For the most part, he's a very quiet man that keeps to his own devices, having a somewhat  monotonous and borderline sociopathic personality. Stiner's raw strength is something of legends. Only Feylin can really compare to it, as it's said he's capable of leveling full sky buildings with his raw might alone.

Dr. Stiner's a tall man with eerily pale skin and milky white eyes. He likes wearing heavy clothing no matter the climate and usually hides the lower half of his face with the high collar long coat.

Doctor Yamin Zaid: The final of the researching trio, Yamin acted as an important part of the team due to her natural ability to actually support other Thaumaturges in their spells. She's capable of providing her mana as a booster towards her allies, and due to her vast mana pool, has aided in the invention of several artifacts in the past. Yamin suffers from a crushing social paranoia/phobia that causes an irrational fear of strangers. As a result, she's mostly spent her time training alongside Vera or Stiner, preferring to avoid everyone else.

Dr. Zaid is an average, if not somewhat chubby woman with light brown hair that's generally tied into a ponytail. She sports a pair of thick-rimmed glasses due to her nearsightedness.

Zedd the Zombie: His name says it all. Zedd's name may not even be his actual name, as the nature of his artifact causes him to have somewhat clouded memories when it comes to his past. Zedd was a willing research subject that Stiner planned taking on board the Zilant, before they both arrived to discover that the flight was canceled due to the danger of the Apostles. Zedd's artifact basically forces him to live from beyond the grave, and make him pretty much near-unkillable; and claims that the woman that placed it upon him was Takara herself.

Zedd always wears a shirt with ripped sleeves, and sports a pristine, white eyepatch with a rose depicted in the center. He has relatively long black hair reaching near his shoulders

Nami Shimada: The direct apprentice and assistant of Izumi herself. Nami is pretty much Izumi's right-hand and aids in helping her get to anywhere she needs, as due to the cursed artifact, Izumi is unable to properly get around without expending her mana. As far as combat goes, Nami overwhelms her foes with a variety of weapons, tied into various traps she can expertly prepare at the battlefield.

Nami's a woman with a lean, muscular build and black hair tied up into a small ponytail. She vastly prefers to dress in her battle garb, which includes a set of tabi with loose fitting, hooded cloth worn beneath a layer of body armour. (Armoured cuirass, shin guards, layered spaulders, and bracers) A lantern is often looped to her hip, with a dragon's head accessory pinned into her hair.

Kenta Tsubasa: One of the three direct apprentices of Izumi. The Tsubasa family is renown throughout the world for both their reputation as esteemed soldiers and their close ties to the council of elders. Kenta himself is a well-known warrior that applies a mix of flame and alcoholic Thaumaturgy to create combustive results.

Kenta commonly wears his trademark steel mask depicting a horned, grinning demon. The mask has a large plume that reaches down his back, and he usually keeps his black hair styled to match it; with two locks of hair tied up to drape around his face. Often carries a gourd of sake around with him, with the top capped off with a sword's handle rather than a cork.

Yakon Shimada: Nami's grandfather. Throughout the years, Yakon has served as an important emissary and secret agent to Izumi, carrying out covert operations for the betterment of his country. Yakon is world-renown for his unique form of Thaumaturgy that creates an unquenchable flame, which he actually creates through the manipulation of his artifacts; but as far as combat goes, he usually relies on sheer speed and hit and run tactics to overwhelm his foe.

Yakon is an old man with a wrinkled complexion and several liver spots around the forehead. He sports a straight goatee and his grey hair is receding from his forehead.
