- Q: What are you doing?
- A: I am attempting to beat a randomized version of Pokemon FireRed using the Kaizo IronMON rules.
- Q: What is your goal?
- A: To beat the game 5 times. So far I've beaten it 3 times in about 1125 attempts.
- Q: What are the Kaizo IronMON rules?
- A: A bunch of settings and restrictions that make the game much, much harder. Some of them include: Opposing trainers are a much higher level, you can only use one Pokemon and must beat the game without that Pokemon dying, you can't use healing items outside of battle, you can't buy any items except Poke Balls and Repels, and you can't use Pokemon with 580+ BST. - Q: Is this a speedrun?
- A: No, although I might try speedrunning it in the future.
- Q: What strategies will you use?
- A: I'm still figuring that out, but I will probably be very picky with the Pokemon I run. A lot of Pokemon have basically no chance of beating the game even with perfect execution. Full routing notes here: https://pastebin.com/LRisZQ8c
