reason why her partner is dying:
hansol suffers from extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis and the drugs aren't effective on him. every second night he coughs out blood, has chest pains and the illness really takes a toll on his lungs. his death is pretty much promised and he doesn't have much time anymore. additionally, he's paralyzed from the waist down so he'd always have to sit in a wheelchair and have someone accompanying him. he has too much pride and sees it as degrading, so he refuses to go out and tends to look out of the window.

attitude of partner:
hansol is very bossy and overly talkative. most of the times he talks about himself. cocky, self-centered? yes, that definitely hits the bullseye. he's very open and brutally honest with his words. there's no shame in him whenever he talks about the times when he was 16; how he started smoking, the countries he'd visited in the holidays, how he got dared to break into someone's backyard to take a selfie - really, some of those things he says are better left unsaid. when you get to know him better though, you'll realize that his high ego is his defensive wall so people won't ever find out about his true feelings. he's mad at himself because of the illness and disability and doesn't want to be pitied. he knows he still gets it anyway, though. when he's closer to a person, he tends to tease them and genuinely gets interested in them, as in learning the little things about them. so for example, the moment he finds out about nari's past in france and her language skills, he'd definitely be impressed, grow more respect for her and try to get her to teach him a few words.

are they compatible?
the two wouldn't necessarily agree that they're compatible, but outsiders can see that they really do. at first, hansol comes off as the self-centered patient with an overload on ego while nari seems to be the uninterested girl asking herself what sin she committed to being sent there. as time passes, they realize that they have much more in common as they thought they would have and start to talk to each other in a friendlier tone. nari will crack a laugh once in a while whenever hansol attempts to say something in french and he's glad that she opened up her heart to him.

EMOTIONAL

can she handle sadness?
nari is quite used to sadness, considering she moved to a different continent and had to let go of her closest friends back in france. of course, she'll be heartbroken but won't shed any tears. the only exception is death though. depending on how strong the bond is to the person, she will cry waterfalls, complain that it wasn't their time yet to die, and confess how she wishes to have spent more time with them because it takes a while for her to open up to somebody.

does she have a long patience?
she has, but when it ever occurs that she's fed up with the person (it doesn't happen a lot though), she'll mutter a rude remark about them. other than that, she always stays silent as she's too lazy to deal with them. yes, the noise gives her headaches but actively telling them to shut up is more of a bother to her. she'll just roll her eyes and judge them silently when she's still in a neutral state.

is she aware of other's feelings?
to understand another person's feeling, she has to know them longer and have a bond with them. she's really dense when it comes to feelings, considering she has no interest to other people 99% of the time. but once she knows the person long enough, she can already tell by the way they talk or the look in their eyes how they're feeling. once they're on the same page as her, they can't lie or deceive her.

how would she make her respective partner happy while he's still alive?
at first, nari wouldn't really try. all she'd do is listen to him and sloppily bring everything to his bed. once they get very close to each other, she would do almost everything hansol wishes, from teaching him french phrases, exposing her life story to him and basically just talk about herself since he wants to understand her completely and be someone she can lean on. other than that, she'd also try to get him outside so he wouldn't miss out on life and push his wheelchair. one of hansol's wishes before he dies, is to get married, so before his life ends, nari would propose to him (of course they won't do the legal stuff and it's not official).

i really liked the synopsis of this book and highkey want to torture myself with the fluff and then the guys' deaths :) also, the story needs more love just like you and the slots were just gREAT and relatable
