1. CHARACTER
2.
3. Name: Janna Tarmac
4.
5. Age: 18
6.
7. Species and Gender: Female Human
8.
9. Symbol: http://i.imgur.com/56u7OQs.jpg FIX THIS LATER YOU FUCK
10.
11. Occupation: 1st (?) year student at Beacon Academy
12.
13. Appearance: Janna's a tall woman, standing at a height of 190 cm and weighing 81 kg. Her body is well trained, with well-toned muscles and tanned skin. Janna has turquoise eyes and coal black hair, usually done up in a high ponytail reaching down to the back of her neck.
14.
15. Janna's combat attire is about as bulky as it gets, separated into a multitude of layers.
16.
17. SPOILERED STUFF YOU FUCK: The first layer consists of leather armor: a leather chestpiece, shoulder, elbow and knee pads, leather grieves, leather skirt and and leather padding on the inside of the second layer's boots.
18.
19. The second layer is the base armor layer. Over the previous layer of armor, Janna wears a black metal breastplate, as well as dark metal vambraces, pauldrons and gauntlets. Said vambraces have latches attached to them to hold The D's (It stands for 'Defense'). She also wears a studded leather skirt, a la Roman skirts.
20.
21. The third layer functions more for utility purposes and a certain amount of style. On her back she has two crossed sheaths for her weapons, Honor and Justice, held in place with leather straps going across her chest. On the sides of said straps she has small metal latches for the D's, effectively making her already large frame seem even bigger when the two shields are attached. While she doesn't wear a helmet to keep her vision unobstructed, she wears a black metal diadem of a relatively simple design on her head.
22.
23. A tl;dr of her armor: Large metal plate armor with big shoulder pads, two shields on her sides and two sheathed swords on her back.
24.
25. Outside of combat, she usually wears simple and almost surprisingly light clothing. Sports bras, tank tops, shorts and sandals are common attire for her.
26.
27. History: Janna was the child of an engineer, her father, and a blacksmith, her mother. Her family lived on the far west side of Vale's residential district, almost bordering on the industrial zone. From her early childhood she showed a great sense of justice, standing up against bullies at school as well as on the streets. At age 12, she was already training on her own with a sword and shield made her mother. The sword was dull at the time, of course.
28.
29. When she was 13, she went to school to find a group of bullies beating up on an underclassman, a young boy named Eric. She tried to protect the kid and beat the bullies, but lost. Eric was still immensely grateful to her, and took her to see his mother, a huntress by the name of Leela Granite. Janna began training under her guidance. Soon after, Janna's parents had a baby boy named Ezekiel.
30.
31. Janna was highly protective of her sibling, and made her goal to train as hard as possible so that the child would never have to get in harm's way. When she was 16, she started wielding two shields, her parents having made a set of armor for her a year earlier.
32.
33. It was her sense of justice and urge to protect the lives of innocents that made her want to be a huntress. She showed exceptionally good results in combat tests, and passed her academical ones quite well, too, her father being a good influence on her. And so, she came to Beacon.
34.
35. Personality: Janna is mostly a calm and reserved individual, trying to figure out the outcome of a situation before acting. She doesn't concern herself too much with the personal lives of others, but still holds her friends very close, bordering on being overly protective of them. If she considers someone's actions to be a threat to a friend of her's, said person can expect a good wallop coming their way.
36.
37. During combat, she can sometimes get a bit bossy, which makes sense considering her rather direct front-line position in battle. Other than that, she has grown naturally capable of dealing with stress.
38.
39. Janna has a strong sense of justice, and will refuse to do anything she finds morally questionable or unethical, if at all possible.
40.
41. Aura and Semblance: Janna's aura is a mixture of coal black and ash gray, and is of a particularly enduring caliber. It's been well trained along with her body, meaning she can take quite a beating before running low.
42.
43. Her semblance allows her to materialize her aura in the form of a dark-gray shield or wall, either based on the ground or hovering above it. For the semblance to work, however, she needs sight of where she wishes to have it appear, as well as solid footing and concentration. The wall or shield is a direct projection of her aura, and any attacks directed towards it will instead strike her, which is why she must have a solid stance on the ground. Though the damage to the aura is equal to how much damage would be dealt if an attack were to strike her directly, the force applied to her body is roughly halved, but a powerful strike could still knock her back.
44.
45. Combat Behavior: Janna is, to put it simply, a damage sponge. Her bulky armor, the D's and semblance all function to do pretty much the same thing - keep her allies from being hurt. Janna tends to get in the middle of the battle to get the attention of as many opponents as she possibly can, allowing her teammates to deal damage while providing some support with Honor and Justice.
46.
47. WEAPON
48.
49. Name: The Defenses (D's)
50.
51.
52. Primary Form: A pair of large kite shields, with latches on the inside along the straps, allowing to attach them to Janna's vambraces with ease during combat simply by sliding the shields along them. The bottom parts of the shields have small hinges attached to them, allowing Janna to occasionally rest them on the ground while still moving them around a bit. This allows her to keep blocking oncoming attacks while only dealing with a fraction of the weight, but it's not as effective.
53.
54. History: Janna initially had only one shield, simply named 'Defense'. Once she started concentrating more on protecting those closest to her, she half-symbolically made a second shield. Her father, who had designed her armor, took note of how she seemed to do rather well wielding both, but lacked a means of proper attack. He then added the latches to the design, allowing for her to wield additional weapons while still utilizing her shields.
55.
56.
57. Name: Honor and Justice
58.
59. Primary Form: A pair of simple shortswords with switches located on the cross-guards. The weapons are rather light so that the combined weight of the swords, armor and shields would be a tiny bit more bearable.
60.
61. Secondary Form: Once the switches are pressed, the blades fold up and form short barrels. The switches themselves slide back onto the pommel, forming triggers, and a button appears on the top grips of the now-pistols. Each pistol holds 7 rounds of ammunition, the shots being quite devastating at close range.
62.
63. Dust Functions: The ammunition can be replaced with dust cartridges, but Janna does so very, very rarely, as she would need to know exactly what she'll be fighting and in what situation. She has to load the guns before battle, after all.
64.
65. History: Janna used to fight with a sword and shield - honor and defense, respectively, the sword made for her by her mother. Soon after entering signal, she asked one of her friends and classmates to help her turn the weapon into a functioning range weapon as well. After she acquired her second shield, it only made sense that she would get a second weapon as well.

67. CHARACTER
68.
69. Name: Razzmatazz Gele
70.
71. Age: 17
72.
73. Species and Gender: Male Human
74.

76.
77. Occupation: First year (?) Student at Beacon
78.
79. Appearance: Razz stands at 165 cm in height, weighing 61 kg, with a decent bit of muscle definition, though not too much, as he relies more on agility for fighting.
80.
81. Razzmatazz has bright green eyes and close-cut, pink hair. Razz usually has an earring in his left ear, varying from a simple metal studs to hoops encrusted with jewels, a gift from his cousin.
82. Razz speaks with a slightly high-pitched, almost feminine sounding voice, along with his looks making it hard for some to take him all that seriously.
83.
84. Along with his school uniform, Razz has two outfits he regularly wears.
85.
86. The first is his casual attire, consisting of a white tank top, bright pink zip-up leather jacket, plain white pants and pink sneakers. On sunnier days he might accessorize with pink-tinted sunglasses in white frames.
87.
88. His combat attire consists of a pink breastplate over a white shirt, a white cloak with his symbol flowing behind him. He wears pink pads over his shoulders and knees, and has pink leather vambraces with little metal studs on them. He wears the same pants and shoes as he does normally, and has a strap on his thigh for Rozhe Orchideya.
89.
90. History: Razzmatazz was born and raised in Vale, his mother, Viola Bloom, a shopkeeper and his father, Brim Gele, a mercenary huntsman. From a very young age, his parents tried to keep him off the path of any sort of violence, hoping for him to become a regular inhabitant of Vale like his mother, nowhere near the dangers of being a huntsman.
91.
92. And yet the boy admired his father greatly, considering those who fought the grimm to be heroes. Despite his parents' initial objections, Razz joined Signal academy, where he crafted Rozhe Orchideya and studied for four years.
93. His father went missing during Razz' third year of study, and is currently presumed dead by most, including his mother Viola. Despite this, Razz still believes his father is alive somewhere, though the odds are heavily against that.
94.
95. Upon finishing his studies at Signal, Razz transferred to Beacon with somewhat outstanding results in combat tests, while just barely passing for sufficient academical scores. He now hopes to finish Beacon, become a huntsman himself and find his father, as he wishes to see him proud of his son.
96.
97. Personality: Razzmatazz is a very outgoing, chirpy individual. He tries to limit infighting and arguing to a minimum, opting to be friends with everyone he meets.
98.
99. He doesn't have too many inhibitions as such, almost seeming shameless at times.
100.
101. Razz might even seem childish at times, even convincingly enough to pass as younger than he is, his voice and soft-ish facial features being of help in that regard.
102.
103. He sometimes gets a bit upset when he isn't taken as seriously as he would like. But, while he might give a pout and a scoff, he still doesn't hold a grudge on anyone. He's practically incapable of doing so.
104.
105. Aura and Semblance: Razz has an average-strength, bright-pink aura that doesn't really ever change much in color. It can sometimes be seen when he uses his semblance to a greater extent.
106.
107. Razz' semblance is light manipulation and illusion: He is capable of creating various illusionary shapes and symbols around himself to serve as a distraction, or even entertainment to onlookers. He can keep such a show up for a couple of minutes when not putting too much energy into it, but if he were to use enough energy, he could completely disorient his opponents with his show in an instant, but it would cost him most of his aura.
108.
109. Example: SPOILERS FUCK FUCK FUCK
110. Razz could, for a few minutes, keep a single opponent relatively confused by surrounding them with a flow of colors and shapes. The spectacle would be faintly visible to an observer, but for the one in the middle of it, it would be rather bright on the eyes, but not so much as to blind them. While not completely disrupting the opponent's line of sight, it could still be useful enough during an escape.
111. If Razz were to use his full power, he could surround a small group of people with a sickening whirlpool of color. The effect might be comparable to what one feels right after getting out of a rollercoaster.
112.
113. Combat Behavior: Razz likes to fight most things pretty much head-on, but opting for lots of dodging and weaving around. He mostly uses Rozhe Orchideya in its blade form, trying to do as much damage to the target as possible before attempting a full takedown, since the last thing he wants is to be stuck with an angry grimm that didn't die.
114.
115. When it comes to fighting people, he tries to avoid it as much as possible, but when it comes to that, he prefers to not harm them too much. If he's uncertain of how much aura his opponent has to speak of, he'll use the blunt side of his weapon just in case.
116.
117. When it comes to ranged combat, he usually tries to do it from as far away as possible. His weapon has plenty of reach with regular bullets, after all. But when it comes to defense of some sort, meeting the opponent with firepower is a good idea in his books.
118.
119.
120. WEAPON
121.
122. Name: Rozhe Orchideya
123.
124. Primary Form: A pink metal bat, 60 cm in length and 8 cm in diameter. There isn't much to it, except for tiny, yet noticeable latches around it. Essentially, a storage form for the weapon.
125.
126. Secondary Form: Once swung with enough force, the weapon transforms, the latches disconnecting and parts of the bat sliding down along a hollow metal tube previously hidden inside the weapon. The parts that slid down the tube form a cross-guard at the bottom. On the side of the tube facing away from the wielder, a blade extends from the pommel, reaching 80 cm in total length.Dust-filled cartridges can be inserted into the tube to empower the blade. From the bottom of the pommel, a button now protrudes out.
127. The weapon can be transformed back into it's primary form by applying upwards force on the cross-guard, sliding it back into place. As this is done, the rest of the weapon returns to its previous state as well.
128.
129. Tertiary Form: Upon pressing the button at the bottom of the pommel, the weapon transforms into its tertiary form. The metal tube extends further, past the blade, forming a barrel a meter in length. The cross-guard shifts to the side and a trigger props out of it, while the pommel of the weapon transforms slightly to form the butt of the now-rifle. A small hatch now forms where the tube previously connected to the cross-guard, allowing the wielder to insert bullets or dust cartridges.
130. By grasping the butt of the rifle and swinging the weapon, it transforms back into its sword-like state, similarly to how it transforms from it's primary form to its secondary.
131.
132. Dust Functions: In its secondary form, dust cartridges can be placed into the tube to give the blade various powers. Razz most often uses fire-based dust for this, though he sometimes uses ice as well.
133.
134. In its tertiary form, dust functions similarly, launching bursts of energy from the dust at the opponent, the size of the cartridges Razz uses allowing for about 6 shots per cartridge. While powerful, dust isn't as accurate as a regular bullet over long distances.
135.
136. History: Razz made the very basis of Rozhe Orchideya during his first year in Signal, calling it simply 'Rozhe' at the time. The weapon was functionally no more than a club. During the second half of the year, he started work on adding a blade to the weapon, initially making a collapsible dagger. He assembled the weapon piece by piece as time went on, and on his third year of study at Signal, after his father went missing, he finished it with the addition of the tertiary form, calling it 'Rozhe Orchideya', after his grandmother, Orchid Gele.
