The clock tower on the top of a building on the other side of the street
began to chime like usual. Ding-dong, ding-dong . . . It sounded clear and
refreshing in all the chaos.
Godzilla made a confused face as he looked at it and let out a single,
sharp WRRRAWR! Then—crunch!—he suddenly grabbed hold of it.
He wrenched off the clock tower with his teeth and spit out the wreckage,
which clattered back to earth.
