⇰ passionate :: it’s hard to find someone who can get as passionate as ayaka. she gets excited over the littlest things and is like a ball of energy once she connects with something. sometimes it’s hard to be around her when she’s like that, but at the same time it’s really entertaining.
⇰ confident :: ayaka is a preacher of ‘love yourself’. she struggled with her own flaws, and came to realize that you have to make the best of what you have, love yourself for you, and so the confidence she has in herself is astounding.
⇰ stylish :: some wouldn’t consider this to be a personality trait, but ayaka most definitely would. she is unique in her clothes as she is in her dancing. she tends to have an intimidating aura at first, but once you get to know her she is a ball of fluff.

Background
⇰ayaka was born in the bubbling city of tokyo, japan, to two young parents who weren’t quite ready to raise a daughter. so ayaka grew up in her grandmothers care. her grandmother, whom she shares her name with, and a former singer herself, helped ayaka develop her love of music. though ayaka did not necessarily have the greatest, voice, she was able to carry emotions in her tone. this led her to be cast as cosette as a child. though after her brief stint in musical theatre, ayaka started to develop a taste in music~ namely she became more interested in kpop. particularly, she loved f(x) and wonder girls, and discovered her strong tone carried better for rap than vocals. though her grandmother was slightly disappointed she had chosen rap over vocals, something she saw as less ladylike and less professional, she still encouraged her granddaughter to follow her dreams. ayaka auditioned for sm entertainment when she turned eighteen years old and passed, moving to korea on her own that year. sm liked ayaka’s tone, but thought she could use a lot more technique, so they sent her to australia to study rap, music, and production. she only recently returned after sm decided to include her in the lineup of rose garden.
