- Best Keyword Research Tools?
- I've been looking to get back into SEO, I have my usual methods but if I'm honest they have stopped producing the kind of results they used to and I guess this is because there are also 1000's of other SEO's using the same keyword research tools and getting the same keywords out from the same database... You get the point.

- I'm looking for some new tools I've not used before to see if they produce better/different results.
- I've been using the following:
- Moz
- Ahrefs
- KWfinder
- keyword revealer
- Google adwords
- I'm wondering what other tools out there are people using which are not considered to the the "mainstream" normie level tool.
- It really depends what kind of keywords you are after.
- I use Ahrefs, but it's better for larger websites with more authority, it does not have enough longtail affiliate terms in the database.
- If I need low or no competition terms, manual research is best (see my guide here https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/the-beginners-guide-to-free-keyword-research.1067718/). SerpWorx (paid Chrome extension) will help speed it up.
- Try looking at keyword research from a different perspective - instead of using keyword suggestion tools, try to find competitor sites that you know you can outrank and mine their most lucrative keywords. Ahrefs will work for that, but I also find Serpstat to be really good since they updated their US dataset recently.

- Check SECockpit - gives you and extensive check on search trends, traffic estimates and organic competition. It being feature packed may overwhelm those new to SEO though.
- SERP is good. but a bit expensive for me

- I tried 4 keywords and got 0 results for each one of them .... maybe this is why nobody mentions it?

- ahrefs usually has the most data in my opinion
- SpyFu and Ubersuggest are not too mainstream but they are good to use.
