Doctor has always evoked deep feelings of awe, nostalgia, sadness, and longing. We all remember loading up the Homestuck webpage [S] Act 4 and hearing Doctor come on, and immediately realizing that this webcomic was an experience that we would never forget. But ever since Buzinkai passed away, this has been made even more extreme. I can no longer listen to Doctor anymore without my heart feeling heavy and my eyes watering. I didn't even know George Buzinkai well. It's just this feeling I get. It's like, "Buzinkai, look... Doctor is so special to me, and you composed it, so thank you for composing it, because I love it." And suddenly you hear that they're dead. It's just painful to reckon with any of it. She had so much more life to live. God damn.

I'm just a random guy on the internet who heard some of her music. I can't imagine how her family felt. How other people close to her felt. And yeah, it's already been two years, but this is the kind of wound that not even time can heal so easily. Doctor is immortalized as the greatest, most influential, most remixed, most quoted piece of Homestuck music out there. It's my favorite, and it's thousands of other people's favorites as well. It must be. We miss you, George.
