  2. It should be no surprise that I enjoyed the JoJolities on display here, based on what I’ve said under Quality. Interestingly, both sides made strong use of the trash, the third environmental element that, while not explicitly listed under the JoJolity assignment, feels nevertheless integral to the JoJolities of both sides - enough that I’ll round both sides up if I feel as though I’m between scores.

  4. Brandy’s use of the cramped environment to stick to the walls and slide behind the paintings is a robust and creative answer to the assignment, sticking him with point-blank javelins from unexpected angles until she’s ready to enclose him in an electric iron maiden. (The repeated links to maps is also appreciated, showing a clear spatial awareness.) Zack and Inca go for a flanking rushdown, bolstered by the fact that Brandy has (relatively) little space to run, while the paintings (and trash cans) are boomeranged around, impeding Brandy’s vision and disorienting her. You could make a martial art out of this… Both sides get a low **8/10** from me.

  7. AP:
  8. Moving onto jojolity I feel that you guys do a pretty solid job of integrating the map into your strategy. Is it maximized by any means? No. I cannot say that any play popped out as exceedingly unexpected or creative but what is there is certainly robust and well integrated enough to justify a decent 7/10.

  10. BTA:
  11. Moving into jojolity I have to say that I am a bit disappointed in your efforts overall. While you do a good job of taking advantage of the paintings in a few instances, It almost feels as if the actual tight quarters of the stage are somewhat forgotten. While what little there is is well integrated, I just don't feel as if the whole jojolity is fully incorporated, and the best I can give here is a high 5/10. Always remember to incorporate all parts of a jojolity into your strategy for full marks going into the future.

  14. I’m not exactly sure how I feel about BTA’s attempt at this Jojolity. While the plays that you do go for are fairly solid (barring trapping Brandy with a painting), I couldn’t help but think that they aren’t pervasive enough throughout the strategy to not come off as a little bit tacked-on. Yes, you do have a good finisher with the trash cans, but at times it feels like you have a proclivity towards utilizing your own weapons (Shurikens and hatchets, for example) as well as your grappling skills to attack your opponent instead of properly taking advantage of the environment. I admit that you do have a good long-term plan in cornering your opponent using your stand body, but I’m not entirely sure how effective that is to begin with. If your attempt at integrating this Jojolity into your strategy was a little more robust, then I could see myself scoring this higher-- but for now, I think I’ll settle for a middling 6/10.

  16. As for Brandy, I felt like your Jojolity plays were fairly simple, such as utilizing items from the trash can to get what you want-- but I think that they were a lot more varied overall. Using the alleyway’s paintings to obfuscate your position by crawling behind them, creating trash javelins to put pressure offensively on your opponent, tunneling underground for a sneak attack on your opponent, and terraforming some direct defense in the form of a wall are all plays that have a unique structure to them and contribute to different parts of your strategy. I think while you might not have been as creative as possible or brought anything super unexpected to the table, you really did milk this alley’s potential for all it’s worth-- and I think that that should net you a solid 8/10.
