personality: as an EXTREMELY ATHLETIC person, areum is COMPETITIVE and HARDWORKING; losing is not something that she has in her everyday vocabulary. although, she tends to ignore her marks for math or science, or anything like that, so she's opted for a full-ride athletic scholarship instead of an academic one. she's very a STUBBORN person, practically a PERFECTIONIST, who never stops doing what she can until she gets her desired outcome. she's CONFIDENT in her skills (borderline arrogant), and she's very CONSCIOUS about her height (but not insecure). STRATEGIC and INSIGHTFUL, areum was elected by her coaches as the perfect team captain. she's also quite INTIMIDATING, not just because of her taller than average height and the amount of exercise she does, but also because of her knack of being very SARCASTIC and SNAPPY due to the lack of sleep she gets. although, outside of her leader mode and when she gets a good rest, areum is a MOTHERLY person who is INTUITIVE and extremely EMPATHETIC, mostly towards to those close to her, although she is HONEST and will express her opinion straightforwardly. areum is a PRIVATE person, who keeps anything personal to herself unless you're her brothers, or part of her "clique". a lowkey HOPELESS ROMANTIC.

  - if she is embarrassed, her face will go an extremely red color, despite her best efforts to seem calm. areum will cover her face and clam up, knowing that she's probably going to stutter and embarrass herself more if she speaks.

  - since she's in so many sports teams and actively pursuing an athletic scholarship, love takes the backseat in her life, but she is a hopeless romantic, and she just dreams of that one person who can keep up with her endless amounts of activities and won't mind that she doesn't have time for a lot of things such as "dates" (but will still try to take her on them).

family: areum has a younger "twin" (or just younger) brother (jeon jungkook) who she's extremely close to, even though the two seem to be too busy to talk to each other. like her, he has a knack for being in every sports team, but not exactly the smartest in academics. they currently live with both their parents, who they're not close with but aren't distant with either. their mother (jeon hyerim), who is a hardworking 55 year old assistant to their father (jeon junghwan), a 58 year old CEO to a successful sports agency. along with the two of them is their 24 year old brother (jung jungsoo) who is currently serving in the army; before he left, she was extremely close with him as well.

background:
  - areum had been in foster care since she was a baby, growing up knowing only that her parents left her at the hospital. as a child, she didn't really understand until she turned 9, and suddenly everyone around her was younger than her and getting adopted left and right. since she was the oldest, couples who were looking to adopt tended to look right past her-- but she kept her thoughts bright, making friends with every kid that came. watched them go with new people to love them. she was ten when a couple finally found an interest with her. they had wanted a daughter, only to have two sons. so they had decided they would adopt, but didn't want to go through the whole process of teaching another baby. areum, as the oldest and most educated, had caught their attention immediately. they had raised her lovingly, and she immediately became fond of her new family, especially her little brother. he was actually the reason that the couple had found her amongst the sea of children, meeting her outside playing basketball by herself and wondering who she was; if she was the child of another family. she replied with a smile, and answered "not yet". they had been close ever since.
  - the moment she was put into the school system, areum had mixed right into the athletic people. she still wasn't the best at anything academic, but she could shoot a ball better and run faster than any other girl there. her brother influenced her a lot, since he taught her good form and everything she needed to improve, and her older brother helped as much as he could (but only actually helped her with protecting herself-- he wasn't so good at sports). though her parents thought that she should be focusing on her academic studies and try to go for a more practical route, they supported areum's decision to pursue an athletic career.

his personality: despite also being a hardworking and dedicated person, he tends to focus more on emotional growth rather than physical. he's not exactly lazy when it comes to his passions, but any other sport tends to bore him to the point where he'll sit down and fall asleep. cares deeply and is quite emotional, though he hides behind a wall of cold. others are intimidated by him as well, but mostly for his resting bitch face and witty (sometimes rude) humour. he's patient and doesn't mind being alone, being more introverted than most of his team and friends.

how he acts around you: he's extremely supportive of her, and comes to her games (okay so maybe she bribed him with food and kumamon), only cheering for her. the two practice together when it comes to basketball, and usually begin arguing. especially since areum is extremely frustrated that he thinks basketball is the only good sport out there, so she basically drags him to every sports game she can think of; volleyball, track, even cheer. he's not the cold wall that he seems to be around her, or any of his friends, years of knowing each other meant knowing that anytime the other was completely silent equals to something being wrong. adorable and humorous, areum sees the cute side that most people don't see.
