  1. Noir Radio Mystery
  2.
  3. „The Crying Waifu“ - /pmg/
  4.
  5. Announcer (Voice 1) [in mid-atlantic accent, excited]:
  6.
  7. „[…] and now for the first time on FDR-Radio: A thrilling, mind bending adventure set right here at FDR Labs! Starring 'Anonymous' as the narrator, we bring you tonight's unusual story 'The Crying Waifu'.“
  8.
  9. Narrator (Voice 2) [low and steady]:
  10. Atmosphere SFX: Beeping electronics and lab equipment
  11.
  12. „It was a cold and rainy night at FDR Labs. The kind of night that makes you glad you've spent the entire day at work. The kind of night that makes you think twice about driving home instead of staying at the lab.
  13. Our hero is already fast asleep at his desk with only the table light softly illuminating his headgear. The FDR employee is required to watch the tentacle holding cells during this particular night shift. A thankless task.
  14. Suddenly [sound queue] lightning strikes! Our hero, startled, falls off his chair [sound queue].
  15. The dazed researcher, now sitting on the cold, hard tiling of the laboratory floor, all of a sudden recognizes a sound.
  16. Past the beeping and whirring of the lab equipment, the gentle reassuring signal tone of the holding cells and the occasional printer offering up the latest results.
  17. He perceives a sound that makes him tense up, makes his blood curdle. A sound that puts him on high alert. He gets up. Still disoriented from his fall, our determined protagonist, stumbles past countless empty desks, towards the windowed door, with only the rays of artificial light streaming through the shades as his guide.
  18. [door opening and closing]
  19. Atmosphere SFX: Soft buzzing of neon lights
  20. Our dashing scientist takes his first step into the hallway, trying to locate the mysterious noise. The white, sterile hallway of the research facility is flushed with neon light with only him providing a soft shadow on the white floor below.
  21. There it is again! Echoing through the empty corridor, the sound appears once more! Without a second's hesitation the experienced employee takes off with the sound as his lead. Past the aphrodisiac lab, the ugly bastard cages and the monster-girl research office. As the sound increases in intensity and clarity the closer he gets to the dimly lit waifu living quarters, the researcher's fear deepens. He turns the last corner and his worst horror came to be. There she is, sitting on the floor, hugging her knees. A crying waifu. A shadowy, distorted figure is towering over her. At the drop of a hat, the competent scientist presses the wall-mounted grey-alert. [quiet sound of a siren] With the sound of the shrieking siren, abruptly every door decorating the building's hallway swings open and researchers come streaming out like ants out of an anthill. Spooked by the commotion the ghastly character takes off and vanishes towards the architecture's deserted lobby. [siren sound end]
  22. The swarm of scientists surround the distressed waifu immediately and identify her as a mute waifu from waifu habitat block beta-3, a block located on the opposite side of the building.
  23. The FDR employees waste no time in gently helping the her up off the freezing ground to accompany her to one of the, rarely used, emergency waifu comfort rooms.
  24. Our petrified protagonist is still standing next to the, now deactivated, grey-alert switch watching his colleagues rush off. His mind overloaded with questions like a busy highway during rush-hour. Who was that frightening somebody that caused this incident? Where did he run off to? What is his motive? What was the waifu doing so far from home and why didn't she push grey-alert herself?
  25. But he knows that cooler heads prevail, he gathers his wits and quickly glances at the signposts hanging from the ceiling. The sign that points towards the suspect's escape route reads “Monster Girl-Development” in bold black lettering. ha
