50. Paul Blart is a mild-mannered man who works as a security guard in a New Jersey mall. For years, he has applied to become a cop, but he always fails the physical exam because he has hypogmycemia and tends to pass out when his blood sugar is low. One day, a gang of organized criminals put the mall under siege and take hostages. Blart becomes trapped inside, and because of his sense of duty, refuses to leave. He thus becomes the police department's eyes on the inside and attempts to stop the criminals on his own.
 51. A single, albeit overweight, parent, Paul Blart lives a middle-classed lifestyle with his daughter, Maya, in New Jersey. After being mocked at in school, and having been unsuccessful to get employment with the local police services, he gets hired at a Mall as a security guard. He is attracted to a mall employee, Amy, but his attempts to woo her are foiled by a pen salesman. His continuing efforts to date Amy are hilarious as he must first adapt himself to cell phones and text messaging, which he attempts to do with his pal, Vijay's daughter's cell-phone. Things get complicated after he is instructed to train a new security guard - who has an agenda of his own - that will end up changing Paul's life forever.
 52. It's cute and cliché plot may be good for five, six, and seven year olds, but for adults and teenagers my age. We want something a little more mature or funnier. It's a good kids movie, though the kid level in it could really be toned down a little bit. I'm surprised Kevin James got the role of Paul Blart. I was sure that John Goodman would have this in the bag.

"Mall Cop" seems a lot like a 90s nostalgia movie. A movie that someone like John Candy or Chris Farley could have made back when they were still with us.

The movie revolves around the life of single dad Paul Blart (Kevin James). His dream of becoming a police officer is jeopardized by his low blood sugar. He trains to become one, but gets rejected when collapsing. He is raising his teenage daughter, living with his mother. To prove to them he is worthy of a real job, he gets the closest job he can get to a police officer, a mall cop.

There he meets Amy Anderson (Jayma Mays) who works at a kiosk called "UnbeWEAVEable". After numerous attempts and fails to amuse her, the mall becomes invaded by crooks who plan to rob the mall. They take Amy and store her in a place where they are keeping various other hostages. It's up to Paul Blart to take the down the criminals (in comical ways of course) and save the mall.

Despite the film's overwhelming supply of fat jokes it isn't an awful movie. A harmless kids movie, just for kids. Thats what brings it down, because I don't really think adults will laugh to really at this. If they do, their sense of humor must be far stretched than mine. To conclude, it's harmless, made for kids, and ignored by adults.

Starring: Kevin James, Jayma Mays, Keir O'Donnell, Peter Gerety, Bobby Cannavale, and Adam Ferrara. Directed by: Steve Carr.
 53. After reading all the negative comments on this, i was reluctant to rent it. Going into it I wasn't expecting much. However after seeing it I actually liked it a lot. Its got its funny parts and is just a great movie to chill out and watch. Yes its predictable, but most movies are. Kevin James is great as usual. He does a good job on making you really feel for him, (This is about what the first half of the movie does). While watching it I also thought that 20 years ago john candy would have been Paul blart. Overall a pretty good movie. Probably wont win any awards, but still good. I've already watched it a few times. Get past the bad comments, just rent it.
 54. An almost shockingly amateurish one-note-joke comedy.
 55. Paul Blart: Mall Cop is based on a screenplay by Kevin James, who plays the title character, and by writer and voice actor Nick Bakay. ...on the ring tone for Paul's borrowed phone: My bubble Gum by Rasheeda

...the first karaoke song: Runaway by Bon Jovi

...when Paul is leaving the house for work: Mr Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra

...in the trailer: Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi

...in the bar: Runaway by Bon Jovi

...when he walks over to Amy at the end: I Can't Hold Back by Survivor

...when he starts singing in the video games: Detroit Rock City by Kiss Yes. An extra scene depicting Blart's wedding is shown about 20 seconds into the credits, but there's nothing after the credits. The extra scene is not worth sticking around for. a5c7b9f00b
