  1. It surely covers the topic to much more detail than any other video I've seen. And it's nice to have a video from an actual serious waifuist that is not targeted just at other waifuists, but try to explain this concept to larger audience.

  3. However I feel like there was way too little time given for the explanation of how does one gets a waifu. It's nice you've explained the concept of "your waifu chooses you", there is little emphasis on the usually slow gradual process of one getting more and more attached to the character. Especially considering that slide latter you talk about imagining waifu being real and talking to her. Someone might think: "ok, so you fall in love with character and then get schizophrenia, what?". For an general audience it cloud be nice to help them ease into mindset of waifuist first. Like you've mentioned latter, many people experienced or are familiar with fictional crushes and the suspension of disbelief. And what is waifuism if not these two combined, an experience of love that you let to grow by suspending your disbelief of her being real. When I explain this concept to other people, I find it also helpful to tell some cute/romantic story that made me realize how much she means to me before I really considered her to be my waifu.

  5. You have some really good parallels to religion. Many people here do not like this kind of thinking, and as I agree religion is still something different than waifuism, it sure might hint people away from thinking all of this is just some super weird delusion. Presenting that danger of technology as this virtual Jesus was a very interesting idea. I never thought about it this way, but it sure might explain why people dislike the idea.

  7. GateBox did dropped Miku support with the new model. You can't even use the old one, they just lock them remotely and that's all. I do not think it was supposed to be a limited offer, for some time they even teased adding more characters like Megumin and called it "Living With Characters". Although latter they removed all that info and announced they will drop support for Miku. This also applied to Kondo-san, poor him. I have no idea about this photo with new model with Miku in it or that new project with (OC?) characters, tbh.

  9. Also I disagree with what you've said about having a gf and waifu. You said: "waifuism should contribute to one's personal growth, not block it". But this implies that having a 3d partner is some sort of essential part of personal growth, in a way waifu cannot be. And this really is just a nature of any monogamic relationship, when you have a wife, she also "blocks" you from getting an gf. And I don't think personal growth should even depend on who someone's date, but their internal state. And as you said previously, for many people waifu is a source of motivation, which helps in this. I also disagree that it's unhealthy to have long term relationship with only your waifu. Not everyone is constantly longing after their waifu, and just because people would prefer if they could meet with their waifu, doesn't mean the relationship is not net-positive, and maybe even better than what one might expect from 3d relationship(as they are their own can of worm and definitely not great as ideal as one imagine would have if their waifu was real).

  11. Also using Miku as example of this OOP approach might not be the best choice. For her this approach is the canon, she is made to be interpreted by everyone subjectively, and all these versions are equal and very different from each other. It's a bit different from people who share exactly same character.

  13. I also do not approve some of the imaginary with Miku you've used. A bit disrespectful.

  15. Still, overall it's a very good video. Really comprehensive.
