As I said I’d ask about the key for the downstairs cupboard it was never seen or made aware of to my housemates, but unfortunately it is our word against the L/Ls.

I feel it is somewhat unfair that the landlord is buying more expensive lampshades, however I feel to argue this would be fruitless as I assume he has already bought them.

As for plugs we have no knowledge of the living room plug sockets being damaged as we had extensions plugged into them the whole year due to their positions, so barely interacted with them, unfortunately we can't prove this as all the pictures I have are in the google drive.

I’m guessing the bath panel could not be proven from the picture which is understandable if unfortunate.

While we are still unhappy with the charges I feel to argue over them any further would be pointless and delay the release of the deposit further, if there are any other images in the google drive that could help let me know.

I hope that in the future inventory and damage checks are more thorough to ensure that the landlord is made aware of repairs they need to do and actually completed, as I feel that is where this dispute has arisen from.
