  1. ---> designing wyrden sandwiches!
  2.
  3. You have emoted: Cheliyi hums, closing her eyes as she waits.
  4. You blink.
  5. You smile brightly at Parhelion, your frills puffing with joy.
  6.
  7. Gabe gives gossamer-woven stationery to you.
  8.
  9. Leafing through the letters, you say, "One, two..."
  10. You hum softly, your frills vibrating with song.
  11.
  12. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "Now we wait for Alarin, and..."
  13.
  14. Iskander says, "I'm slowly braining one up. But if I take too long that's okay!"
  15.
  16. You have emoted: Cheliyi trails off, glancing curiously between Iskander and Xenthos.
  17.
  18. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "I'm still working on one, yes."
  19.
  20. You smile softly.
  21. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "We can wait, yes."
  22.
  23. Answerer Parhelion Ceartas, Evader of the Shears says, "I thought it would be rather heretical to have a crow sandwich, so hopefully this suffices."
  24.
  25. You chuckle softly, your frilled tail flicking idly with amusement.
  26.
  27. A wry smile spreads across Gabe's face.
  28.
  29. Using her tongue and the roof of her mouth, Evette makes a quiet clicking noise.
  30.
  31. Muginn, the ghost-feathered crow looks offended by this prospect.
  32.
  33. You roll your eyes.
  34.
  35. From seemingly nowhere, Bizirik appears, a powdery donut shaped like a flower clutched in its set of smaller forelimbs. It clumsily hands a powdery donut shaped like a flower over to you before slinking back off.
  36.
  37. Wryly, you say to Muginn, the ghost-feathered crow, "I am sure you would taste great, he is not insulting your culinary appeal, no."
  38.
  39. Muginn, the ghost-feathered crow huffs, and tosses his head.
  40.
  41. Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Gurashi, The Heart's Friend, "Thank you!"
  42.
  43. Dark light flickers in Evette's eyes as shadows dance at her feet, rising up as if to briefly shroud her from the world.
  44.
  45. With wings fluttering in rapid droning beats, Filib flits in rapidly from the north.
  46.
  47. A caliginous leopard playfully bats the glittering spiderweb streamers hung in the area with her left paw.
  48. You smile wryly at a caliginous leopard.
  49. A caliginous leopard rubs up against you affectionately.
  50.
  51. Gurashi's melodic voice sings into your mind, "I love you muchly and need to rest, but good luck with your festival again, mine-child! Have fun!"
  52.
  53. Parhelion inclines his head politely to Filib Shee-Slaugh.
  54.
  55. Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Gurashi, The Heart's Friend, "Rest well!"
  56.
  57. Filib Shee-Slaugh glances up at the streamers in mute awe and then settles into the background, a bit leery of Ilistala, an enormous leopard.
  58.
  59. You blink.
  60. You smile brightly at Filib Shee-Slaugh, your frills puffing with joy.
  61.
  62. Gurashi, The Heart's Friend has left the realm of Lusternia.
  63.
  64. You greet Filib Shee-Slaugh with a nod, frills puffed respectfully.
  65.
  66. A violet light within the nearby crystal ignites with a surge of wyrden power, then recedes into its dim and quiet glow once more.
  67.
  68. (Trasto): You say, "FILIB IS HEREEEE."
  69.
  70. Lifting her head, Ilistala looks at Aknarin hopefully.
  71.
  72. A caliginous leopard lopes excitedly towards Aknarin as she comes into view, butting her head forcefully against Aknarin's hand demanding affection.
  73.
  74. Filib Shee-Slaugh lifts a hand happily in greeting and mutters a quiet, "Hello."
  75.
  76. Aknarin curtseys gracefully.
  77.
  78. A caliginous leopard's ears perk up as her attention turns towards Filib Shee-Slaugh.
  79.
  80. Cheerfully, you say, "Hello hello! We are designing foods for a competition. Would you like to join?"
  81.
  82. Gabe dips her head politely toward Filib Shee-Slaugh , "Dark tidings to you".
  83.
  84. You barely catch Akuuko out of the corner of your eye as he enters from the north.
  85.
  86. Bounding in, Akuuko, the Rewoven says, "HELLO ALL YOUS ALL."
  87.
  88. A caliginous leopard sniffs Akuuko, the Rewoven, trying to decipher just what that smell emanating from him is.
  89.
  90. Parhelion creases his brow in a frown.
  91.
  92. In reply, Filib Shee-Slaugh says, "I ... ugh."
  93.
  94. "'Lo!" Iskander quips cheerfully.
  95.
  96. Parhelion inclines his head politely to Akuuko, the Rewoven.
  97.
  98. Aknarin softly replies, "My imagination is somewhat limited right now, may I just stay and listen to the festivities?"
  99.
  100. Filib Shee-Slaugh inches away from the gathering even further, on tiptoe, as if to move as passively as possible.
  101.
  102. You stare blankly into space.
  103.
  104. Shadows swirl around Xenthos's arm as the Fingerblade of dha'Wyrden-cree shifts and turns around his hand.
  105.
  106. Cheerily, Akuuko, the Rewoven says, "What, ahhh. What?"
  107. Akuuko, the Rewoven bats playfully at the streamers and then eyes the table.
  108.
  109. You have emoted: Cheliyi hurriedly removes her spectacles, glancing away from a certain dracnari.
  110.
  111. With a dream-like echoing resound, Gabe Ladyn says to Akuuko, the Rewoven, "Hello to you too."
  112.
  113. You remove a pair of thin spectacles.
  114.
  115. Fainter, you say, "Hello, hello."
  116.
  117. With a dream-like echoing resound, Gabe Ladyn says, "Oh."
  118. Gabe glances askance.
  119.
  120. You nod your head at Aknarin.
  121. You think to yourself: **breathe breathe breathe it's fine**.
  122. You let loose a long breath from your lungs, exhaling slowly.
  123.
  124. Akuuko, the Rewoven rifles through the tray happily and then asks, through a mouthful, "So um, wash thish all?" He gestures broadly and sends crumbs flying.
  125.
  126. A caliginous leopard turns her head to the side as she places her paw down on the ground once more.
  127.
  128. Parhelion averts his eyes politely, though a grin creeps across his face.
  129.
  130. Filib Shee-Slaugh shrinks even closer to the ground, attempting as hard as he can to remain unseen.
  131.
  132. Gabe chuckles long and heartily at Akuuko, the Rewoven.
  133.
  134. Parhelion takes an elegant dish of cinnamon apple ice cream from a wooden leaf-shaped platter.
  135. Parhelion puts his nose over an elegant dish of cinnamon apple ice cream and inhales.
  136. Parhelion quickly devours an elegant dish of cinnamon apple ice cream.
  137.
  138. Scratching idly at his thigh, Akuuko, the Rewoven asks again, after swallowing, "So um. A party, or sommat?"
  139.
  140. Hesitantly, you say, "Yes, well. It's a... festival. About the Greev. Right now, we're designing Wyrden sandwiches to show resourcefulness, and have a bit of fun."
  141.
  142. Nodding slowly, Akuuko, the Rewoven says, "Oh. A bunch of cooks. Right. Well. Yep, you keep on cookin', it's good."
  143.
  144. The ominous booming of the shadowbeat echoes faintly from a three-finger ring bearing an amethyst scythe on Xenthos's hand, and his eyes flicker with wyrden flames.
  145.
  146. You think to yourself: **purple and red, you hate it, stop being so silly, count to ten, you're not afraid**.
  147.
  148. Tilting his head, Akuuko, the Rewoven says, "Anyone seen Filib 'round?"
  149.
  150. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "Right here?"
  151. Xenthos tilts his head curiously at Filib Shee-Slaugh.
  152.
  153. Parhelion clears his throat at Xenthos.
  154.
  155. Filib Shee-Slaugh freezes in place and glares angrily at Xenthos.
  156.
  157. A caliginous leopard rubs up against Filib Shee-Slaugh, purring like a cat.
  158.
  159. Gabe opens her mouth several times and closes it again, glancing at Akuuko, the Rewoven , then away again to stare at Aknarin's feet , "Well..well...gosh.."
  160.
  161. Behind his hand, Answerer Parhelion Ceartas, Evader of the Shears says to Xenthos, "I don't think Filib wanted to be seen, Spirit Warden."
  162.
  163. Akuuko, the Rewoven says, "AHA HEY."
  164.
  165. "Oh?" Xenthos exclaims quizzically.
  166.
  167. Iskander whispers, "Thinking is so hard..."
  168. Iskander looks about himself, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
  169.
  170. Akuuko, the Rewoven leaps and bounds at Filib Shee-Slaugh, pouncing wholly onto the faeling's body. Filib cries out once, and then they both go tumbling into the shadows, the latter shrieking, "HIDE AND SEEK STOPS AT SOME POINT, AKUUKO, AND THAT POINT IS NOW."
  171.
  172. Parhelion opens his mouth as if to say something, but pauses.
  173.
  174. Evette hides a grin behind her hand.
  175.
  176. Xenthos blinks.
  177. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "I see."
  178.
  179. Answerer Parhelion Ceartas, Evader of the Shears says, "Poor Filib. You may want to watch out behind you until he cools off, Xenthos."
  180. Parhelion's eyes sparkle with amusement.
  181.
  182. Gabe makes to raise her hand in protest at the rough play, but then stops, lowering it again and shrugging nonchalantly. "Right then" she murmurs, partially amused.
  183.
  184. Dominique Nightshade steps forward from the north, her unseeing eyes a pool of black shadows as she moves.
  185.
  186. Gabe curtseys gracefully before Dominique Nightshade.
  187.
  188. The melodious voice of Kistan resonates in your mind, "Does it need the ingredients? How many ingredients does an sandwich have?"
  189.
  190. Evette inclines her head politely to Dominique Nightshade.
  191.
  192. Dominique Nightshade raises an eyebrow questioningly.
  193.
  194. Parhelion inclines his head politely to Dominique Nightshade.
  195.
  196. You have emoted: Cheliyi seems to have shrunken in on herself, only to relax as the two slip into the shadows. Slipping on her glasses, she greets Dominique Nightshade with a quiet nod.
  197.
  198. Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Wyrden Idolator Kistan, of the Sanguine Refrain, "At least 10! Not needed, but you can if you want, yes."
  199.
  200. Dominique Nightshade inclines her head politely, her unseeing eyes flickering with shadow flames. "Wyrden blessings, Glomdoring, friends of Glomdoring. May the Festival of Greev be a fortuitous chance to reflect."
  201.
  202. You think to yourself: **your chest loosening, that wasn't so bad, you didn't make a fool of yourself**.
  203.
  204. A tenebrous leopard carefully bats a sinuous vinestalker with her left paw.
  205.
  206. Softly, you say, "Indeed."
  207.
  208. Dominique Nightshade continues, her head turning this way and that. "Have Akuuko and Filib been through the Larder? I did admonish them, but I'm afraid they are quite unruly of late."
  209.
  210. You nod your head emphatically.
  211. You think to yourself: ... But what about Mixter Aschwar? Hm.
  212.
  213. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist looks skeptical and says, "They were apparently playing... tag?"
  214. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist begins composing a letter, and shimmers from sight.
  215.
  216. Dominique Nightshade exhales slowly, her exasperation oozing from her typically poised demeanor. Through gritted teeth, she says, mostly to herself as she departs, "He will never call me Nightwaffle again, by the Wyrd."
  217.
  218. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "They... um. What?"
  219. You stare blankly into space.
  220.
  221. Xenthos gives an elegant white letter to you.
  222.
  223. Answerer Parhelion Ceartas, Evader of the Shears says, "Well, there is the inspiration for a sandwich, but it's a bit late."
  224.
  225. Parhelion sucks thoughtfully on his teeth.
  226.
  227. Gabe clicks her tongue and nods, "I think Filib was attempting to hide from Akuuko, or the entire room as a whole. Akuuko, on the other hand.." she muses.
  228.
  229. You have emoted: Cheliyi mouths the word "Nightwaffle" with deep confusion.
  230.
  231. Gabe's eyes raise to the heavens as a look of hope flashes across her face.
  232.
  233. Faintly, you say, "Well, we can take extra... times..."
  234. You stare blankly into space.
  235. Quietly, you say, "I'm so confused."
  236.
  237. A cascading veil of water and light gently rains in from the east as Alarin steps through it, parting the starry curtain in a shimmer of sparkling white mist.
  238.
  239. The ground quivers then breaks open, releasing the Swampghast.
  240.
  241. Alarin stands at attention and gives a crisp salute with their furry right paw.
  242.
  243. You stare blankly into space.
  244.
  245. Answerer Parhelion Ceartas, Evader of the Shears looks thoughtful and says, "A wyrdenwaffle sandwich. Venison, scrambled harpy egg, maybe some syrup of some kind."
  246.
  247. You greet the Swampghast with a nod, frills puffed respectfully.
  248. Evette greets the Swampghast with a sincere smile.
  249.
  250. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "Hello Mister Swampghast! Nice to see you."
  251.
  252. Gabe holds a thoughtful hand to one cheek, wrapping the other arm about her waist beneath her elbow, "Oh..waffle...crimson berries and waffles..maybe for a later date" she murmurs to herself.
  253.
  254. The Swampghast, ignoring everything around him, descends upon the table, takes his share, and then growls at spiders as he makes to leave.
  255. The rotting vegetation of the Swampghast flails, as it sinks into the ground and disappears from sight.
  256.
  257. You stare blankly into space.
  258.
  259. The screeching of a crow echoes through the dark woods, sounding almost like harsh laughter.
  260.
  261. Alarin begins making an entry in a spiral notepad of clean, lined paper, disappearing from sight.
  262.
  263. Putting her head in her hands, you ask, "Why is -everyone- visiting?"
  264.
  265. Parhelion shrugs helplessly.
  266.
  267. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says to you, "Didn't you invite everyone?"
  268.
  269. Alarin swiftly rips a page from a spiral notepad of clean, lined paper.
  270.
  271. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "I -did- but that was."
  272. You flop down onto the ground.
  273.
  274. Evette tilts her head and listens intently to you.
  275.
  276. You give a trillingly melodic laugh, your frills resonating with joy.
  277.
  278. Alarin gives a torn piece of notepad paper to you.
  279.
  280. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "Okay, okay."
  281.
  282. Alarin shifts their eyes suspiciously from side to side.
  283.
  284. You have emoted: Cheliyi pushes herself to her feet, nodding. "Who else has a design left? We can wait as long as you are promising to finish up."
  285.
  286. Muginn ruffles his feathers, stirring up puffs of fog.
  287.
  288. Alarin Stormcrow says, "It'd be better, but I had a bit of a soul issue."
  289.
  290. You give Alarin a friendly squeeze.
  291.
  292. Gabe sniffs a golden beryl tulip tea cake, trying to decipher just what that smell emanating from it is.
  293. Gabe tentatively sticks out her tongue and licks a golden beryl tulip tea cake.
  294.
  295. Answerer Parhelion Ceartas, Evader of the Shears says to Alarin, "You should have made Thaldorn design something."
  296.
  297. With a dream-like echoing resound, Gabe Ladyn says, "Mmm."
  298. Gabe creases her brow in a frown.
  299.
  300. Alarin Stormcrow says, "Oi. Thaldorn!"
  301.
  302. Iskander says, "I've almost finished, though I'd need to ah, write it down rather than have it in my head."
  303.
  304. Alarin puts their fingers in their mouth and lets out a high-pitched whistle.
  305.
  306. Thaldorn Thornfist, the White trots in with head high.
  307. Thaldorn Thornfist, the White says, "Sure. Just leave me back there."
  308.
  309. Alarin rolls their eyes.
  310.
  311. The melodious voice of Kistan resonates in your mind, "All done! What shall i do with it?"
  312. Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Wyrden Idolator Kistan, of the Sanguine Refrain, "Come to the larder!"
  313.
  314. Lothwen Darkeye enters confidently from the north, her steps graceful and measured.
  315.
  316. You blink.
  317. You feel a slight tug within your chest and the air around you sparkles with motes of bright light.
  318. You greet Lothwen Darkeye with a nod, frills puffed respectfully.
  319.
  320. Kistan pops into existence, stumbling a bit as reality warps briefly into chaotic rainbow hues.
  321.
  322. Evette doffs a dapper, silver-banded black felt hat to Lothwen Darkeye.
  323. Lothwen Darkeye bows low in greeting, the night sky coiling lovingly around her visage.
  324. Alarin stands at attention and gives a crisp salute with their furry right paw.
  325. Thaldorn Thornfist, the White gives the world a smart salute.
  326. Parhelion inclines his head politely to Lothwen Darkeye.
  327.
  328. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "Hello! I... have not met you before, actually."
  329.
  330. Wyrden Idolator Kistan, of the Sanguine Refrain says, "Hello!"
  331.
  332. Cheerily, you say, "Nicely to meet you though, Miss!"
  333.
  334. Softly, Lothwen Darkeye says, "No, we have not met. Tidings, Minister."
  335.
  336. With a dream-like echoing resound, Gabe Ladyn says to Lothwen Darkeye, "Tidings to you."
  337.
  338. Lothwen Darkeye lifts a sparkler displaying spirit grey shadowflame, waves it once, smiles, and then tilts her head as if listening to something.
  339.
  340. Not hesitating, Alarin shoves a rainbow cupcake into their mouth.
  341.
  342. Kistan flops down onto the ground.
  343.
  344. You have emoted: Cheliyi watches curiously.
  345.
  346. Absently, her voice flush with thought, Lothwen Darkeye says, "Thank you for the invitation...the decorations are quite lovely..."
  347.
  348. You nod your head emphatically.
  349.
  350. Alarin Stormcrow says, "Apologies."
  351.
  352. Kistan blows on a letter, willing the ink to dry.
  353.
  354. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "Of course! They are mostly from the nicely lady next to the Master Ravenwood. I could not claim to have come up with them, no."
  355.
  356. Gabe's hand hovers over an overgrown table of wyrden glory , undecided on what she will take next.
  357.
  358. You ponder stately steel stationery thoughtfully, looking it up and down.
  359. The ever-present sense of your heartbeat thrums, beating to the rhythmic pulse of the Drums of the Dead.
  360.
  361. Sharply, as if waking from a trance, Lothwen Darkeye replies, "Ah -- yes. The Great Librarian, come at last."
  362.
  363. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "Has everyone-."
  364. You blink.
  365. Curiously, you ask, "Librarian?"
  366. You slip into a pair of thin spectacles.
  367.
  368. Gabe tilts her head and listens intently.
  369.
  370. Wyrden Idolator Kistan, of the Sanguine Refrain whispers, "Please be Wiki."
  371.

  373.
  374. Lothwen Darkeye spares a glance for Xenthos and then Evette before withdrawing. "Perhaps for another time. Enjoy your festivities -- I shall enjoy learning how the sparklers work."
  375.
  376. Alarin Stormcrow says, "I have one, actually."
  377.
  378. You give dusky stationery stamped with blackthorn flowers to Iskander.
  379.

  386.
  387. Iskander says, "So many notepads."
  388. Iskander nods his head sagely.
  389.
  390. Lothwen Darkeye bows low, her beads clattering as she does.
  391. Glancing about her with a pensive gaze, Lothwen Darkeye walks north, black hair swaying.
  392.
  393. You hum softly, your frills vibrating with song.
  394.
  395. A strong wind tugs against you as a blanket of thick, white clouds form above Snow Valley.
  396.
  397. You blink.
  398.

  408.
  409. Wyrden Idolator Kistan, of the Sanguine Refrain says, "Only death comes from above."
  410.
  411. Parhelion smirks.
  412. Iskander scribbles a few notes on a spiral notepad of clean, lined paper.
  413.
  414. Answerer Parhelion Ceartas, Evader of the Shears says, "Do pardon me."
  415.
  416. An anguished cry can be heard from Snow Valley, though the echo of pain is quickly swallowed by the howling winds of the ferocious storm swirling over it.
  417.
  418. You have emoted: Cheliyi shivers, pulling a leaf-green woollen blanket closer around herself. "Hm. I remember Dad saying that it snowed at the Master Ravenwood, once."
  419.
  420. Parhelion leaves to the north, emanating an aura of immense power.
  421.

  426.
  427. Alarin Stormcrow says, "...I seem to vaguely remember that myself."
  428.
  429. Gabe tilts back her head and inhales deeply while twitching a wolf's snout.
  430. Iskander scribbles a few notes on a spiral notepad of clean, lined paper.
  431.
  432. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "... Should we go see if everything is alright?"
  433.
  434. Alarin Stormcrow says, "Though I think I was a bit young at the time."
  435. Alarin Stormcrow says, "I was about to, aye."
  436.
  437. Wyrden Idolator Kistan, of the Sanguine Refrain says, "A little inclement weather should not disrupt a festival, should it?"
  438.
  439. Alarin Stormcrow says, "He has a point."
  440.
  441. Pausing, you say, "Well, I do have all of the entries, almost. Let us finish the competition."
  442.
  443. Kistan gives a simple red-bordered letter to you.
  444. Kistan wipes the back of his hand across his brow in relief.
  445.
  446. Alarin Stormcrow says, "I think that's where Parhelion ran off to."
  447.
  448. You nod your head at Alarin.
  449.
  450. Iskander swiftly rips a page from a spiral notepad of clean, lined paper.
  451. Iskander gives a torn piece of notepad paper to you.
  452. Iskander nods his head enthusiastically.
  453.
  454. Filib Shee-Slaugh yells, "AKUUKO."
  455.
  456. You blink.
  457. You give a trillingly melodic laugh, your frills resonating with joy.
  458.
  459. A wry smile spreads across Gabe's face.
  460.
  461. Ilistala, an enormous leopard blinks, her fur rising at the sudden yell.
  462.
  463. Sudden uproarious laughter disrupts crows roosting, who take flight all across the Glomdoring.
  464.
  465. A tenebrous leopard blinks.
  466. Iskander gives a spiral notepad of clean, lined paper to Alarin Stormcrow.
  467.
  468. Gabe hides her grin behind her hand and glances away.
  469.
  470. Chuckling, you say, "Alright, alright. Let us continue. First we have... Parhelion's I think. We can wait. But the next one is..."
  471.
  472. You pat gossamer-woven stationery in a friendly manner.
  473.
  474. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you ask, "This is yours, right Miss Gabe? Would you like to explain your dish?"
  475.
  476. Gabe blanches suddenly.
  477.
  478. You blink.
  479. You give a trillingly melodic laugh, your frills resonating with joy.
  480. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "It is okay."
  481.
  482. Kistan inclines his head politely to Gabe.
  483.
  484. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "Would you all wish to present the dishes you have designed, or just have me read them?"
  485.
  486. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "You may just read mine."
  487.
  488. Khasur Stormcrow sweeps in from the north like a bad omen, her eyes critiquing her surroundings with a razor's efficiency.
  489.
  490. Muginn, the ghost-feathered crow preens his feathers, oddly smug.
  491.
  492. Khasur Stormcrow leans against a nearby blackthorn sapling and casually picks at her nails with the tip of a dagger.
  493.
  494. Pulling at the collar of her dress, Gabe Ladyn says, "Uuh...alright. Well, 'tis a dough made of ground up ravenwood nuts, fresh blood, crispy leaves and ants sprinkled on for crunch and seasoning. The filling is..a mulch of wilted vegetables, eyeballs, and wyrden sap."
  495.
  496. Wyrden Idolator Kistan, of the Sanguine Refrain says, "Perhaps fairest if you read them all?"
  497.
  498. You smile brightly at Khasur Stormcrow, your frills puffing with joy.
  499. Evette greets Khasur Stormcrow with a sincere smile.
  500.
  501. Iskander nods his head enthusiastically.
  502.
  503. Alarin Stormcrow says, "I agree with Xenthos."
  504. Alarin shifts their eyes suspiciously from side to side.
  505.
  506. A tenebrous leopard rubs up against Gabe, purring like a cat.
  507. Gabe reaches over and ruffles a tenebrous leopard's hair fondly.
  508.
  509. You nod your head sagely at Gabe.
  510.
  511. The cold voice of Alarin sends chills down your spine, "My sincerest apologies, I will return soon."
  512. Alarin Stormcrow says, "I need to depart for a short while. My apologies."
  513.
  514. With a dream-like echoing resound, Gabe Ladyn says to you, "Apologies, where were we?"
  515.
  516. Alarin spreads their arms wide, and the air between their hands begins to warp and twist, dancing with brilliant multicoloured light as they bore a hole through the fabric of the planes.
  517. A swirling gateway of brilliant light pierces the air before Alarin, boring a hole through the very fabric of the planes. Alarin ascends confidently through the rotating gate, which shimmers and snaps shut behind them.
  518. With a sharp salute, Thaldorn Thornfist, the White strides out to the ether. The steady clanking of his armour can still be heard as he departs.
  519.
  520. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "Ah, alright then. Well! In the meantime, I'll read these as fastly as I can, so everyone should start thinking about how they want to tell stories for the second competition!"
  521.
  522. Khasur Stormcrow yawns languidly as she watches on. As if remembering she had it, she pulls out a sparkler, blows on it lightly, and sends its dusky twilight shadowflame sparking in every direction.
  523.
  524. With a dream-like echoing resound, Gabe Ladyn says, "I don't mind explaining mine."
  525.
  526. You blink.
  527. You smile brightly at Khasur Stormcrow, your frills puffing with joy.
  528.
  529. Gabe inclines her head politely to Khasur Stormcrow.
  530.
  531. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say to Gabe, "Then feel free to continue! I will not stop you, no."
  532.
  533. You read what is written on stately steel stationery:
  534. From Parhelion
  535. a cockatrice on rye sandwich
  536. cockatrice 1 vegetables 3 grain 3 spices 4 milk 1 ooze 1
  537. Dropped:
  538. Pungent and bold, a thick sandwich has been left here.
  539. Smell:
  540. As you lean over this sandwich and inhale, your nostrils are assaulted
  541. by searing fumes, leading you to cough involuntarily.
  542. Taste:
  543. You nibble at the varigated meat sticking out of the sandwich, and find
  544. it to be tender. After a second, the spicy meat finally hits the back of
  545. your throat, and your eyes close momentarily as you cough.
  546. Consume:
  547. Eyeing the sandwich, you decide to dive right in and take a large bite.
  548. As you sink your teeth through the rye bread and lettuce, you taste
  549. hints of dill before the pungent, pickled meat and the spicy
  550. ooze-horseradish sauce rush to the forefront, instantly clearing your
  551. sinuses and causing your eyes to water. Bite after bite, you devour the
  552. sandwich with tears in your eyes, finally choking it down.
  553. Stately steel stationery is holding:
  554. Nothing.
  555.
  556. Mulling over her words, Gabe Ladyn says, "Ground up some Ravenwood nuts to make a floury substance, add some blood to turn it into a dough, bake until risen, sprinkle fried leaves on top for extra crunch and season with baked ants. For the filling - Sticky webbed insects tossed in a Wyrden tree sap and maple, tossed with some wilted vegetables, toss in a fresh eyeball. Fill the sandwich, squish together and enjoy."
  557.
  558. You smile wryly at Gabe.
  559. Gabe hums a happy tune.
  560.
  561. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "Sounds crunchy, yes."
  562. You nod your head sagely.
  563.
  564. You read what is written on gossamer-woven stationery:
  565. Comms: 1 raven nuts, 1 drops of blood, 2 drops sap, 1 drop maple, 1
  566. eyeball, 1 spiderweb, 1 ants, 1 leafs, 1 wilted vegetable
  567. Appearance: A bloodied cremated sandwich of Wyrden delights
  568. Examined: This sandwich is indistinguishable between what is blood and
  569. what is burned, nutty bread. Gloopy, sticky matter presses out of every
  570. side and an eyeball stares out from the front. The mulch and sap have
  571. congealed much like a binding substance to coat fingertips, teeth and
  572. tongue. Flaked, cremated ants and leaves coat the outside of the nutty,
  573. bloodied dough.
  574. Taste: Burned blood and nutty bread fill your mouth, before rotted
  575. matter and the crunch of an eyeball with added ants, follows suit. Your
  576. mouth is soon filled with a sticky substance which pulls your teeth
  577. together.
  578. Smell: The sandwich smells like burned ozone within the nostrils and
  579. cloying blood.
  580. ~ Gabe ~
  581. Gossamer-woven stationery is holding:
  582. Nothing.
  583.
  584. With a dream-like echoing resound, Gabe Ladyn says, "Perhaps I should take up cooking."
  585.
  586. Gabe ponders the situation.
  587.
  588. You giggle happily.
  589. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "It would not hurt! Having more designs to submit is always great."
  590.
  591. You read what is written on an elegant white letter:
  592. a delectable harpy sandwich overflowing with ooze
  593. This sandwich begins with two thick pieces of toasted bread, between
  594. which are stuffed many choice slices of roasted harpy meat. Each slice
  595. is folded upon itself to form a heaping mound, bulging out from the
  596. sides. Black ooze, condensed until thick and juicy, has been liberally
  597. poured over the meat and oozes out from the sides. Barely able to be
  598. seen under the heaping pile of meat and ooze is a layer of dressing -
  599. baked bread and vegetables diced into cubes. The final touch is added by
  600. a small garnish of greenery - shredded bits of sporegrass that add a bit
  601. of crunch and extra flavour to the mix.
  602. This sandwich smells like roast fowl and swampwater.
  603. Hesitantly you take a small nibble of this sandwich. The meat is tender,
  604. and the pairs well with the dressing. The ooze adds a much-needed
  605. moisture to the mix, and is surprisingly palatable.
  606. You bite into the sandwich. The first bite is slow as you experience the
  607. mixture of flavours - the dressing is a good pairing with the roasted
  608. harpy meat, the two mixing together on your tongue. The largest surprise
  609. is the ooze - it has been cooked and seasoned into something resembling
  610. a thick gravy, which binds the rest of the sandwich's contents together
  611. and lubricates the meat, keeping the fowl from becoming too dry upon
  612. subsequent bites. As you continue, little pops of flavour burst forth
  613. from the sporegrass, ensuring each bite is a slightly different
  614. experience. Before you know it, the entire sandwich is gone, leaving
  615. only traces of dripping ooze on your fingers.
  616. harpy 1 sporegrass 1 ooze 1 spices 1 grain 7
  617. - X
  618. An elegant white letter is holding:
  619. Nothing.
  620.
  621. Gabe's eyes sparkle with amusement.
  622.
  623. Leafing through the letters, you say, "These actually sound really tasty, yes..."
  624. The ever-present sense of your heartbeat thrums, beating to the rhythmic pulse of the Drums of the Dead.
  625.
  626. The faint wafting of smoke drifts across the Glomdoring Forest.
  627. You blink.
  628. You blanch suddenly.
  629.
  630. Iskander tilts his head curiously.
  631. Iskander wrinkles his nose and sniffs.
  632.
  633. Filib Shee-Slaugh yells, "AKUUKO."
  634.
  635. Suddenly, you say, "Where is that coming from."
  636.
  637. With a dream-like echoing resound, Gabe Ladyn says, "Oh my."
  638.
  639. Iskander says, "That seems...concerning..."
  640.
  641. Odd sounds echo through the gloomy forest, their source undetermined.
  642.
  643. Ilistala melds into the shadows, quickly disappearing from view.
  644. Puffy white fur brushing the floor as she passes, a ragdoll kitten saunters out to the northwest.
  645.
  646. You think to yourself: **a sudden fear seizing your heart no matter how hard you try to tamp it down, -fire-**.
  647.
  648. The shadows lurch upward from the centre of the Glomdoring, followed by the faint whispering of Dominique Nightshade's voice. A sharp yelping sound, and then the shadows settle once more.
  649.
  650. Xenthos purses his lips pensively, gazing off into the distance as he carefully gathers his thoughts.
  651.
  652. Gabe sniggers evilly.
  653.
  654. The corners of Kistan's mouth turn up as he grins mischievously.
  655.
  656. You have emoted: Cheliyi watches the shadows, eyes wide as the letters crinkle in her tightening grasp.
  657.
  658. Iskander wraps a comforting arm around you.
  659.
  660. The faint wafting of smoke drifts across the Glomdoring Forest.
  661.
  662. Gabe tilts back her head and inhales deeply while twitching a wolf's snout.
  663.
  664. Faintly, you ask, "Should we go... find the fire? Or do they have it handled?"
  665. You have emoted: Cheliyi exhales and shakes her head. "It is probably fine."
  666.
  667. You read what is written on a torn piece of notepad paper:
  668. Appearance: a sugar-dusted cookie in the shape of a spider.
  669. Dropped: A spider-shaped cookie covered in sugar lies here.
  670. Examined: This cookie has been created using dough consisting of eggs,
  671. flour, sugar, a dash of honey, and juice extracted from the white lemons
  672. found in the Clarramore Gardens. Baked to a golden brown texture, this
  673. baked confection is in the shape of a tarantula, its eight legs
  674. bordering what would be its head. A thin layer of fine sugar has been
  675. dusted onto the cookie, followed by a yellow frosting made of white
  676. lemon and honey that borders around each of its legs.
  677. Smell: The faint scent of lemon and sugar mingled with the aroma of
  678. cookie dough intrigue the senses.
  679. Taste: The sweetness of sugar mixes with the subtle combination of lemon
  680. and baked cookie dough, tantalising the tastebuds.
  681. Consumed: This cookie is surprisingly soft and chewy as you take a bite,
  682. the dusted sugar suddely giving way to an explosion of lemon and honey.
  683. As you finish off this baked confection, the lingering taste of white
  684. lemon and sweet honey seems to remain for just a bit longer.
  685. Commodities: 5 sugar, 5 flour, 5 egg, 1 honeycomb, 5 whitelemon.
  686.
  687. Lifting her head, Ilistala looks at Evette hopefully.
  688. With several beats of her wings, Evette alights upon Xenthos's shoulder.
  689.
  690. A cascading veil of water and light gently rains in from the east as Alarin steps through it, parting the starry curtain in a shimmer of sparkling white mist.
  691.
  692. Alarin stands at attention and gives a crisp salute with their furry right paw.
  693.
  694. You ponder the situation.
  695. You crease your brow in a frown.
  696.
  697. Alarin sighs deeply, as if they has suffered a great loss.
  698.
  699. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say to Alarin, "This is not a sandwich."
  700.
  701. The shadows coil menacingly at your feet, the voice of Dominique Nightshade's spell cleaving through the morning light -- a testament to her volcanic fury.
  702.
  703. You stare blankly into space.
  704.
  705. Alarin Stormcrow says, "...oh."
  706.
  707. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "We should go..."
  708.
  709. Iskander whispers to you, "Ahm...Is this....is this all normal?"
  710.
  711. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "Find them."
  712. You make a beckoning motion to no-one in particular.
  713.
  714. Gabe clicks her heels together and clasps her hands behind her back, "Oh dear" she whispers.
  715.
  716. Iskander follows you northwest.
  717.
  718. ---> searching
  719.
  720. You crease your brow in a frown.
  721.
  722. Akuuko, the Rewoven yells, "I SAID I WAS SORRY, WITCH LADY, PUHLEASE."
  723.
  724. ---> more searching
  725.
  726. You have emoted: Cheliyi frowns deeply.
  727. (Glomdoring): You say, "Has anyone found them yet?"
  728.
  729. With a dream-like echoing resound, Gabe Ladyn says, "I presume Akuuko is getting a good smack."
  730.
  731. With a faint smile, you say, "Perhaps."
  732.
  733. ---> so much looking
  734.
  735. (Glomdoring): Xenthos says, "Yes, here."
  736.
  737. You begin murmuring the names of the sefira in the Tree of Life. Eyes half-closed, you find the true name of Xenthos and whisper it softly.
  738.
  739. Domothean energies surge around your figure as you step forwards into the Tree itself and through Kether into another location.
  740. Iskander follows you ether.
  741.
  742. Before a steep dell.
  743. A dark mist hovers lazily above the ground, heralding a shield shrine of Nocht nearby. There is a moderate breeze here. Ash trees cluster close together here, clutching each other tightly. To the south, the forest floor drops away, a ridge of grasses and leaves forming the edge of a steep canyon. To the southeast, a tree has fallen across this dip from its southern edge, and it appears that some sort of construction hangs down from the tree-trunk, although it is difficult to see what through the branches. A dappled canopy shelters the three trails that split from this point. A mature blackthorn tree stands proudly here. Casting darkness all around, a shadow totem thrusts up from the ground, chilling the air. Filling the space about him with his charismatic presence, Akuuko lingers here. A leopard lurks in the shadows, curiously watching anything that moves. Nothing more than a puffball with cerulean eyes, a seal lynx point ragdoll kitten lies here lounging languidly. Clad in matte black leather, a golden-eyed savage lingers here like a living shadow. Drenched in blood, a midnight-eyed savage lingers here appraising her surroundings.
  744. You see exits leading east, west, and northwest.
  745.
  746. A caliginous leopard lopes excitedly towards you as you come into view, butting her head forcefully against your hand demanding affection.
  747. Lifting her head, Ilistala looks at you hopefully.
  748. You pet Ilistala, an enormous leopard ingratiatingly.
  749. A loud rumbling emanates from Ilistala as she rubs against you.
  750.
  751. A slow dissonant drum rhythm pulses through the air, preceding the arrival of Kistan from the east.
  752.
  753. Brow furrowing, you say, "Do we still need to put out the fire?"
  754.
  755. Lifting his limbs as if they're stuck to something, Akuuko, the Rewoven says, "Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm."
  756.
  757. (Glomdoring): You say, "It seems Mister Akuuko started a fire."
  758.
  759. Gabe sucks thoughtfully on her teeth.
  760.
  761. You have emoted: Cheliyi does not look at Akuuko, the Rewoven, instead focusing on Xenthos.
  762.
  763. Akuuko, the Rewoven attempts to fold his arms, but cannot -- his arms merely return to his sides. "Mmmm."
  764.
  765. (Glomdoring): Geran says, "That doesn't strike me as particularly wise."
  766. (Glomdoring): You say, "Obviously enough."
  767.
  768. The ever-present sense of your heartbeat thrums, beating to the rhythmic pulse of the Drums of the Dead.
  769.
  770. (Glomdoring): You say, "Sorry, that was short of me. I am just worried."
  771.
  772. Exhaling through his nose, a scowl etched across his face, Akuuko, the Rewoven glowers. "Mm," he grunts, the shadows clinging to him hovering across his mouth.
  773.
  774. Gabe finally glances over Akuuko, the Rewoven, studying his arms, "Drop a sparkler did we?"
  775.
  776. Evette purses her lips pensively, gazing off into the distance as she carefully gathers her thoughts.
  777.
  778. A sense of purpose and pride for the Glomdoring swells within you as a three-finger ring bearing an amethyst scythe pulses against your hand.
  779.
  780. You have emoted: Cheliyi offers Akuuko, the Rewoven a glance, before shaking her head. "The sparklers do not burn. D... dracnari do, though."
  781.
  782. Akuuko, the Rewoven pauses for a moment and then shakes his head. "Mmm mm. Mm mmm mmm. MMMM."
  783.
  784. The cold voice of Alarin sends chills down your spine, "Is everything all right?"
  785. Comprehension flashes across Gabe's face.
  786.
  787. Iskander says to Akuuko, the Rewoven, "I would offer you a helping hand or three but I'm afraid I don't speak mumble very well."
  788.
  789. Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Alarin Stormcrow, "Mister Akuuko started a fire, it seems. Teleport to me."
  790.
  791. You feel a slight tug within your chest and the air around you sparkles with motes of bright light.
  792. Among the sparkling motes of light, a translucent figure appears in the air and then quickly solidifies as Alarin comes into view.
  793. The distant clanking of metal on metal is heard as a giant silverback gorilla clad in a shimmering suit of golden armour strides in from the ether.
  794.
  795. Alarin stands at attention and gives a crisp salute with their furry right paw.
  796. Thaldorn Thornfist, the White gives the world a smart salute.
  797.
  798. With a dream-like echoing resound, Gabe Ladyn says to Akuuko, the Rewoven, "Ah, no more breathing fire for a bit, eh?"
  799. Gabe's eyes raise to the heavens as a look of hope flashes across her face.
  800.
  801. You think to yourself: **dread in your stomach, you were right to be scared, dracnari only bring fire and hurt**.
  802.
  803. Aknarin Stormcrow says, "I must depart, enjoy the rest of the festivities."
  804.
  805. Alarin tilts back their head and inhales deeply while twitching a wolf's snout.
  806.
  807. Akuuko, the Rewoven remembers something suddenly and then relaxes. "Oh yea, I forgot I can dos this," Akuuko's thoughts echo from him as clearly as if he were speaking them aloud. "No, no sparklers, but I did maybe kick a lantern and then when I thought it was gonna spread, I remembered it was shadows, and then that witch woman popped in and then I asked her why a Nightlady was chasing me and then she told me to leave Filib alone, something about a stable needing to be cleaned, and then I said to her, I says".
  808.
  809. Aknarin curtseys gracefully.
  810. Aknarin leaves to the east, emanating an aura of immense power.
  811.
  812. You stare blankly into space.
  813.
  814. Evette tilts her head and listens intently to Akuuko, the Rewoven.
  815. Gabe pinches the bridge of her nose and exhales slowly, "You said?"
  816.
  817. Akuuko, the Rewoven pauses, as if letting his mind catch its breath. "So I says to her I says you are one real angry witch lady, you know that, Nightwaffle? And then she threw me into a tree with the shadows, and then I got startled, so I uh. Well. Fire is sort of you know, in me, and then she got madder, and then Filib ran, and then she says to me she says that I was a menace, and that she washes her hands of me, and then -- ".
  818.
  819. Kistan smiles softly at Akuuko, the Rewoven.
  820.
  821. Just as she opens her mouth to say something, Gabe suddenly bites down on her lip with a frustrated grunt.
  822.
  823. Akuuko, the Rewoven attempts to lift his hand to itch his chest, but it whips back to his side, the shadows coiling around him tightening. His mind continues, "So then I says you are a real piece of work, lady, and she did whatever this is, and said something like you will choke on your words, and here I am, the shadows all mad up in my scales."
  824.
  825. Evette blinks several times in a row towards Akuuko, the Rewoven.
  826.

  831. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "Did you consider that perhaps 'Nightwaffle' was the wrong choice of words?"
  832.
  833. Iskander asks, "Though it does sound tasty...Do you think there are Daywaffles?"
  834. Iskander ponders the situation.
  835.
  836. Akuuko, the Rewoven's mouth lifts into a quick grin, that he carefully covers up with another glower.
  837.
  838. With a dream-like echoing resound, Gabe Ladyn says, "An apology might be the lead up to the correct words, as of now.."
  839.
  840. Akuuko, the Rewoven glares and stares forward. "Mmmmm," he says, with force.
  841.
  842. Evette ponders a caliginous leopard thoughtfully, looking her up and down.
  843. A caliginous leopard rubs up against Evette affectionately.
  844.
  845. Khasur Stormcrow sweeps in from the east like a bad omen, her eyes critiquing her surroundings with a razor's efficiency.
  846.
  847. Kistan gives a rainbow cupcake to Akuuko, the Rewoven.
  848. Wyrden Idolator Kistan, of the Sanguine Refrain says, "All better now though?"
  849.
  850. Gabe presses her lips into a tight smile, albeit her eyes betray her restraint.
  851.
  852. Khasur Stormcrow tilts her head, rather bird-like, and says, stoically, "Well, well."
  853.
  854. With a dream-like echoing resound, Gabe Ladyn says to Kistan, "Akuuko is speaking with his mind."
  855.
  856. Akuuko, the Rewoven's eyes widen with fear as Khasur Stormcrow moves closer to him.
  857.
  858. You have emoted: Cheliyi inclines her head politely to Khasur Stormcrow, although she still looks fairly frustrated.
  859.
  860. Alarin stands at attention and gives a crisp salute with their furry right paw.
  861. Thaldorn Thornfist, the White gives the world a smart salute.
  862.
  863. A caliginous leopard idly twitches her tail behind herself.
  864.
  865. Her lips twisting into a dark smile, Khasur Stormcrow says, "Do you recall what our Mistress said would happen if you misbehaved, little Akuuko?"
  866.
  867. Akuuko, the Rewoven's eyes widen even more, and he begins to struggle against his shadowy restraints.
  868.
  869. You have emoted: Cheliyi pauses, and frowns.
  870.
  871. Khasur Stormcrow steps forward, close enough to touch Akuuko, the Rewoven, and whispers, "Or shall I remind you?"
  872.
  873. You think to yourself: What? **another spike of fear, but this time -for- the dracnari**.
  874.
  875. Akuuko, the Rewoven whimpers softly and a tear falls down his cheek.
  876.
  877. You think to yourself: But She...
  878.
  879. Beaming, Khasur Stormcrow says, "Excellent. You do remember."
  880.
  881. You have emoted: Cheliyi watches, wide-eyed.
  882.
  883. Khasur Stormcrow says, "Come along, Akuuko."
  884.
  885. Parhelion enters from the east, emanating an aura of immense power.
  886. Answerer Parhelion Ceartas, Evader of the Shears says, "Right, sorry about that."
  887. Parhelion begins to follow you.
  888.
  889. Gabe tilts her head curiously at Parhelion.
  890.
  891. You have emoted: Cheliyi glances at Parhelion, and smiles faintly.
  892.
  893. Answerer Parhelion Ceartas, Evader of the Shears says, "Some hunter in Snow Valley fell down and dropped some sort of wooden figurine. We found it for him."
  894. Parhelion waves his hand dismissively.
  895.
  896. Khasur Stormcrow whispers to the air, and the Glomdoring Forest responds. It twists upward in thorny vines that wrap their way around Akuuko, the Rewoven's body, devouring him completely. Within seconds, he is gone.
  897.
  898. Gabe looks at Parhelion and comprehension flashes across her face.
  899.
  900. Comprehension flashes across Alarin's face.
  901.
  902. The wind whistles eerily through the branches overhead.
  903.
  904. Gabe glances askance.
  905.
  906. Parhelion inclines his head politely to Khasur Stormcrow.
  907.
  908. You have emoted: Cheliyi nods slowly, before watching Akuuko descend with a deep frown.
  909.
  910. Softly, you say, "Well, have a... nicely day, yes. Should we..."
  911.
  912. Khasur Stormcrow nods, satisfied. She turns to address the gathering. "He's fine," she says, simply. "Go about your celebrations. Go, go." She makes a shooing motion.
  913.
  914. You have emoted: Cheliyi clears her throat, and nods.
  915.
  916. Kistan wipes the back of his hand across his brow in relief.
  917. Alarin begins to follow you.
  918.
  919. You make a beckoning motion to no-one in particular.
  920.
  921. Her terrible smile stretched across her face, Khasur Stormcrow says, "He will not be bothering us any longer this day."
  922.
  923. Kistan begins to follow you.
  924.
  925. With a slight, imperious nod, Khasur Stormcrow sweeps out to the east.
  926.
  927. Watching the spot he descended with a quiet frown, you say, "Mm."
  928.
  929. Evette leaves, following Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist.
  930. Parhelion follows you east.
  931. Alarin follows you east.
  932. Iskander follows you east.
  933. Kistan follows you east.
  934.
  935. ---> zooming back
  936.
  937. Spiders' larder.
  938. Large, heavy raindrops splash upon the ground. Ethereal strings of gossamer lichen stretch between the boughs of the trees and cover the undergrowth with a filmy mantle of green in this mysterious glade. The lichen hangs down from branches and lays a gentle hand upon everything it touches, bringing life and fertility. Animals and insects are abundant, birds sing and noble dragonflies flit about, celebrating nature in all of its forms. Light filters down from gaps in the treetops high above, making its way to the forest floor past the numerous ephemeral strands, refracting off the moisture on each one. Nothing resists the touch of the silky filaments; they adorn nearly every surface in the glen, havens for small creatures. Nearly everything has a coating of ethereal lime green. Hidden deep within the environment lies a mystic pathway. Settled within the branches of an ancient and skeletal tree roosts a murder of crows, their voices harsh and deafening as their caws peal through the air. Rising tall overhead, a totem of shadowed wood sits here, decorated with the offerings of the Glomdoring forest. A solstice stocking has been hung here. A blackthorn sapling clings tenaciously to the ground here. Casting darkness all around, a shadow totem thrusts up from the ground, chilling the air. There are 3 plain wooden kegs here. Rising from the forest floor itself, an overgrown table presents a wyrden bounty. There are 24 rainbow cupcakes here. There are 3 glittering spiderweb streamers here. Hanging down from a branch, a dark crystal shaped like a seven-pointed star beckons spirits to gather here. Emitting more shadow than light, a tenebrous lantern burns here with wyrden fervour. A bulbous spider sits here, dripping ooze from its pores. A leopard lurks in the shadows, curiously watching anything that moves. Nothing more than a puffball with cerulean eyes, a seal lynx point ragdoll kitten lies here lounging languidly. With a threatening mien, a fluffy turquoise llama with magnificent shaggy wings stands guard here. Thaldorn Thornfist, the White towers silently here, a stern gaze on his face. Clad in matte black leather, a golden-eyed savage lingers here like a living shadow. Drenched in blood, a midnight-eyed savage lingers here appraising her surroundings.
  939. You see exits leading north, northeast, east, southeast, south, southwest, west, and northwest.
  940.
  941. A caliginous leopard lopes excitedly towards you as you come into view, butting her head forcefully against your hand demanding affection.
  942. Lifting her head, Ilistala looks at you hopefully.
  943.
  944. Wyrden Idolator Kistan, of the Sanguine Refrain says, "I remember sitting watch when he was in the cocoon. He was the one in the cocoon wasn't he?"
  945.
  946. Alarin tilts back their head and inhales deeply while twitching a wolf's snout.
  947.
  948. Quietly, you say, "Yes."
  949.
  950. With a dream-like echoing resound, Gabe Ladyn says, "I must go, I do apologize. Thank you for an interesting and fun-filled time, Cheliyi."
  951. Gabe beams broadly at you.
  952.
  953. Wyrden Idolator Kistan, of the Sanguine Refrain says, "We drew flowers on him."
  954. Gabe grows still and her lips begin to move silently.
  955.
  956. You have emoted: Cheliyi shakes out her frills, and exhales. "Alright."
  957.
  958. You read what is written on a simple red-bordered letter:
  959. Design short a Greev special sandwich
  960. Design appearance A Greev special sandwich.
  961. Design examined This is not a sandwich for the fainthearted! A small
  962. loaf has been taken and the top cut off. The inside of the loaf has been
  963. hollowed out in preparation for the filling. Slices of rare venison have
  964. been laid across the base, followed by a layer of green salad. Next
  965. comes a layer of lightly seared rainbow trout, with a layer of small
  966. sliced pickles on top. A layer of assorted poultry comes next, with a
  967. final layer of greenery on top. The lid of the small loaf has been
  968. soaked in gravy and placed back upon the top.
  969. Design dropped A thick Greev special sandwich has been left carefully
  970. here for the owner to pick up later.
  971. Design commodities meat 2 fish 2 poultry 2 grain 2 vegetable 2
  972. Design smell A mouthwatering aroma of meat and gravy come from the
  973. inside of this sandwich.
  974. Design taste Having to hold this Greev special with both hands, it is
  975. initially difficult to bite into this sandwich encouraging you to squash
  976. it together, leaving finger imprints in it as you hold it to stop it
  977. spilling out. The first mouthful is an explosion of taste as different
  978. meats and salad compete on your tongue. It should not work and yet
  979. somehow, it just does. The salad adds bitterness to the sweet meat that
  980. melts in your mouth. The pickles add a tart crunch that zings. Each
  981. bites gets easier and soon all that is left is a mess on your fingers
  982. and chin. Like the Greev it was names after, you have eaten everything.
  983. A simple red-bordered letter is holding:
  984. Nothing.
  985.
  986. You read what is written on a torn piece of notepad paper:
  987. Designer: Iskander
  988. Ingredients: grain 6 sugar 2 rose 2
  989. Appearance: a black rose jam and toast sandwich
  990. Dropped: Resting on a ravenwood plate, a darkly glistening black rose jam and toast sandwich sits here.
  991. Examined: Sitting on a hand carved ravenwood plate this sandwich is a simple affair of lightly toasted bread filled with decadent violet coloured jam.
  992. Consume: Picking up the golden slices of toast, you take a tentative nibble to prepare your palette for the upcoming experience. Within that initial sampling you are met with the powerful tartly sweet flavour of the meal. With your tongue girded you begin consuming the small yet sumptuous repast. Each morsel contrasts the dry, rough texture of the toasted bread with the almost silky smooth texture of the jam. The rest of the sandwich does not fail to live up to the expectations of that initial taste, the preserves proving both sweet and tart, blunting the usual bitter edge of raw rose. With the the treat finished and only crumbs left, you casually discard the plate.
  993. Smell: Taking a sample of the sandwich's scent, you are rewarded with the bold aroma of sweet black rose preserves and warm fresh toast.
  994. Taste: Sliding a finger along the sandwich's outer edge, you take a sampling of the darkly dripping jam and are met with the almost overpoweringly bittersweet taste of the rose preserves.
  995.
  996. You smile softly.
  997. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "I am almost done reading!"
  998.
  999. The sharp sound of a twig snapping echoes behind you.
  1000.
1001. You have emoted: Cheliyi hums thoughtfully.
1002. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say to Alarin, "Sadly your design isn't a sadwich. But! It is so nicely, it will get a reward anyways."
1003. You give Alarin a friendly squeeze.
  1004.
  1005. Alarin thanks you profusely.
  1006.
  1007. You ponder the situation.
  1008.
1009. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "A sadwich?"
  1010.
  1011. You blush furiously.
  1012.
1013. Wyrden Idolator Kistan, of the Sanguine Refrain says, "Only one slice of bread."
  1014.
1015. Iskander exclaims, "Oh! Maybe Nightwaffles are made of buckwheat!"
  1016.
1017. Certainly not pouting, you say, "Words are tough sometimes."
  1018.
  1019. Iskander ponders the situation.
  1020.
1021. Answerer Parhelion Ceartas, Evader of the Shears looks thoughtful and says, "I might expect sad witches to be in Glomdoring, now that I think of it."
  1022.
1023. You flop down onto the ground.
  1024.
1025. Iskander says, "No, rye! That makes more sense."
1026. Iskander nods his head sagely.
  1027.
1028. Wyrden Idolator Kistan, of the Sanguine Refrain says to Iskander, "They would not be fluffy enough."
  1029.
1030. Iskander looks about himself, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
  1031.
1032. Wyrden Idolator Kistan, of the Sanguine Refrain says, "Rye waffles could build houses."
  1033.
1034. Iskander says, "Oh! That's a wonderful idea! When building supplies run low, we could use waffles."
  1035.
1036. Disturbing nary a strand, a black spider inches slowly over the webbing gathered here.
  1037.
1038. A poofy, seal point ragdoll kitten languidly lounges here, lazing contentedly as she does her best to resemble a fluffy rug.
1039. A translucent spider scuttles into the undergrowth.
  1040.
1041. You have emoted: Cheliyi hums and haws over two of the letters, her brow furrowing.
  1042.
1043. Thaldorn Thornfist, the White says, "...you live in New Celest. I live in New Celest. That house will not be standing for long..."
  1044.
1045. Wyrden Idolator Kistan, of the Sanguine Refrain says, "And so was Crumkindia built."
  1046.
1047. Iskander looks about himself, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
  1048.
1049. Alarin gives Thaldorn Thornfist, the White the once-over, eyeing him suspiciously.
  1050.
1051. Iskander says, "That is true. Soggy waffles are sad waffles..."
  1052.
1053. Thaldorn Thornfist, the White says, "So are eaten waffles."
  1054.
1055. Alarin thrusts their palm towards their forehead and hits it with a resounding *smack*!
  1056.
1057. Viravain, Lady of the Thorns has bestowed Her divine truefavour upon you. It will last for 30 months.
  1058.
1059. Muttering to herself, you say, "How do I choose...."
  1060.
1061. Iskander says, "But we are happier for the waffles we've eaten over the waffles we have not."
  1062.
  1063. You blink.
  1064.
1065. Wyrden Idolator Kistan, of the Sanguine Refrain says, "The opportunity to get wet would be slim."
  1066.
1067. You have emoted: Cheliyi looks down as the shadowfire crawls across her arms, smiling faintly.
  1068.
1069. Alarin Stormcrow says to you, "I'd go for the one you would eat first if the dish were woven into existence."
  1070.
1071. You chuckle softly, your frilled tail flicking idly with amusement.
  1072.
1073. Alarin Stormcrow says, "That's how I would decide."
  1074.
1075. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "Well that is unfair, considering I have a big bias for spicy things."
  1076.
1077. Wyrden Idolator Kistan, of the Sanguine Refrain says, "Politically, one awards first prize tothe head of your guild, regardless."
  1078.
  1079. You blink.
1080. Covering your mouth with webbed fingers, you choke back laughter at Kistan.
  1081.
1082. A wry smile spreads across Parhelion's face.
  1083.
1084. Shoulders relaxing, you say, "-no-."
  1085.
1086. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "It sounds reasonable to me."
  1087.
1088. You think to yourself: **the coil in your chest unwinding, this is supposed to be fun**.
  1089.
  1090. Iskander whispers, "Spicy Nightwaffles...Hrm..."
1091. Iskander looks about himself, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
  1092.
1093. Alarin grins mischievously at Xenthos.
  1094.
  1095. You giggle happily.
  1096.
  1097. You ponder the situation.
1098. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "Technically, I have enough credits to give out two prizes for each place."
1099. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say, "And since there were six entries...."
1100. You smile gently, frills puffing with joy.
1101. You nod your head sagely.
  1102.
  1103. Credit Report
  1104. -------------------------------------------------------------------
  1105. You have 167 Credit(s) left.
  1106.
  1107. Alarin blinks.
1108. Alarin Stormcrow says, "...I spent all of mine on curio pieces."
  1109.
1110. For a fleeting moment, the baleful play of light against the spiderwebs' dew is evocative of blood.
  1111.
1112. Thaldorn Thornfist, the White snickers softly to himself.
  1113.
1114. Evette chews on her lip, deep in thought.
  1115.
1116. Kistan crosses his fingers for luck. Third could be within his grasp this time round to show the doubters!
  1117.
1118. You have emoted: Cheliyi puts the letters in her pack, and clasps her hands together. "So! Thank you all so much for competing! The first place winners are....!"
  1119.
1120. Parhelion's eyes raise to the heavens as a look of hope flashes across his face.
1121. Kistan does a drumroll on his thigh.
1122. Parhelion starts to beat on Kistan, his hands taking up a regular rhythm.
1123. Alarin's eyes sparkle with amusement.
1124. Iskander hums a happy tune.
  1125.
1126. You have emoted: Cheliyi hops over to Iskander and Parhelion, patting each with a bright grin. "Both of you!" Turning to the kephera, she continues, "Your sweet sandwich was honestly lovely to read about! The use of roses and wyrden berries to make a delightful treat that I personally would love to eat, yes." She then gesture grandly at Parhelion, nodding emphatically. "And your spicy cockatrice sandwich sounds very, very goodly! Although," she grins, "I may just be biased towards spicy things."
  1127.
1128. Iskander claps his hands together merrily.
  1129. Kistan cheers wildly!

1133. Alarin glances askance at Thaldorn Thornfist, the White.
  1134.
1135. You have emoted: Stepping away, Cheliyi announces to the crowd, "Second place go to Mister Xenthos and Mister Kistan! Mister Xenthos, your description of the harpy meat and ooze sauce was very thematic to the swamp part of the forest, and absolutely mouthwatering, yes. It was a hard selection between you and Mister Parhelion!" She pats Kistan, and grins. "Yours was lovely as well, but honestly, I'm not sure if I could ever eat such bigly portions."
  1136.
1137. Thaldorn Thornfist, the White's ears perk up with a sudden interest.
  1138. Kistan thanks you profusely.
  1139.
1140. Nodding, you say, "Then, third but not last is Mister Alarin and Miss Gabe. Her sandwich, while resourceful, was also full of ants, and other things we do not usually cook with. But Mister Alarin, your cookie was amazing! I would be happy to submit a design like that, if you were in my cartel. Sadly, it is not a sandwich, but you win a prize nonetheless because of how tasty it sounds!"
  1141.
1142. Thaldorn Thornfist, the White exclaims, "I actually like the occasional cookie or two, but there are these sugar-less oatmeal ones... whoever is responsible for those should be forced to eat an entire bucket full of them, then eat the bucket too! Seriously... sugar-less! Who even DOES that?!"
  1143.

  1170. Parhelion shrugs helplessly.
1171. Parhelion consumes a sugar crystal leisurely, seeming to enjoy every bite.
1172. Alarin utters a deep, rumbling laugh.
