Dont Touch The fish

Alexithymiaa: -Steph climbed out of Reagan's car in the driveway, giving the brunette a wave before making her way up to the front door. She clutched her laptop and an oversized brown envelope to her chest, stepping into the house to instantly be greeted by a flurry of barks and fur. "Okay okay, calm down." She said as she leaned over to pet everyone before turning and heading over into the office to drop off her computer and shove the envelope in her desk.-
Covet: Felix was inside where he had a togo container with a couple rolls of sushi and a few nigiri pieces of salmon and yellow fin tuna. He was pulling out a couple of plates to dish everything up for them, getting out the nice home chopsticks I'm sure theyse sushi fiends probably own. He even went as far as getting a couple of glasses filled with ice and sparkling water with a lemon slice, in the wine glasses because he's fancy like that.
Alexithymiaa: -Heading out of the office, she stopped when she saw Felix fussing around in the kitchen, raising her brows. "What's all this?" She asked before continuing over into the kitchen, looking down at the sushi and wine glasses.-
Covet: "Food, Duh!" He said with a cocky-cheeky smirk at her. "I wish I could say I made it myself, but I was lazy." Felix said sliding her plate over to her. "I got your favorites though, and some extra Nigiri."
Alexithymiaa: -She climbed up onto one of the kitchen stools, looking down at all the sushi he had got. "I can't exactly hold it against you for not making it yourself. It's kind of time consuming and takes a lot of focus. Not exactly your strong suit." She said with a smile, leaning over kiss his cheek. "Any particular reason you picked this up?"-
Covet: Felix leaned into the kiss and looked at her blinking a couple of times. "Because I was hungry, and I thought you might be too, so fuck cooking" He said with a grin and nodded his head already diving in to his food.
Alexithymiaa: "I did admittedly eat before practice because I didnt want to forget, but this looks awesome." She picked up her chopsticks and toyed with them in her hands before picking up a piece of salmon to take a bite."I will thank you even though this was fifty percent selfish."-
Covet: "Hey, I'd say that's pretty balanced, considering that I thought of you too." He said pointing his chopsticks at her. "Wow, Read I'm proud of you, If you don't want to eat all of yours, just let me know and I'll polish it off."
Alexithymiaa: -She sat up a little straighter when he said he was proud of her, finishing her piece of fish and shaking her head. "It's okay. We'll see how much I can get through, but I have complete confidence in your ability to finish mine if I can't. Or... I could put it in the fridge to have tomorrow. Leftovers are allowed, ya' know."-
Covet: "Who needs leftovers when you have a human garbage disposal like me?" He asked her slightly offended, then smirked putting another piece in his mouth. "How was your day?" He asked her halfway through chewing.
Alexithymiaa: "Lots of people need leftovers." She said quickly, waving her chopsticks through the air. "It was okay. I got a pretty short email response from Anna's manager that said my song wasn't what they were looking for and that she prefers sexy music. Whatever the hell that means. So I was kind of bummed about that, but practice went well so it kind of evened out."-
Covet: "Sexy music? I thought it was sexy...I think that's got to be a relative term right? " He asked her. " But I'm glad practice made it a little better for you. Maybe you could keep that song for the band?"
Alexithymiaa: "I don't do sexy so I don't really know what it was. They didnt even tell me that's what she wanted otherwise I probably would have turned it down from the start." She picked up a piece of tuna, taking a small bite. "We might. It's different than our style."-
Covet: "Yeah, you think they'd have specified better if they were looking for something that specific." He said shaking his head putting another bite into his mouth. "Different isn't a bad thing though. It could be a fan favorite
Alexithymiaa: "Maybe..." She trailed off, looking over her fish and starting to get annoyed all over again. "Yeah, really. They should have said something if that's what they wanted. Not that it matters. How do you even write sexy lyrics? They're usually so vapid."-
Covet: "Well, from what I've seen of that Anna chick... That word's probably even cloer than you think." He said with a laugh. "Don't sweat it Red, there will be other takers."
Alexithymiaa: -She smirked, nodding her head. "Yeah, that's true." She reached her free hand over to cover his, giving it a little squeeze. "Thanks. Do you have everything all set for your gallery opening?"-
Covet: "Yeah, I think so. We're going to be doing a lot of the set up tomorrow and Saturday Afternoon, then we'll finish the rest Monday morning, so it's ready for Tuesday. I was actually thinking about doing an overnight camp trip Saturday and Sunday if you're game?"
Alexithymiaa: "Oh." She paused, setting her chopsticks down. "We can do that. Where did you want to go?" She asked him, brushing her hair from her face.-
Covet: "Just up to the mountains a little. Nothing too far just a nice overnight trip. You and me, no pets to worry about immediately. We hold off any longer and it's going to be freezing and we won't be able to go. And I told you I'd take you once over the summer, so it's a little late, but better late than never." Felix told her.
Alexithymiaa: "I'd love that." She slipped off her stool and moved alongside him, circling her arms around his neck. "It might get a little chilly at night now, so it'll be more fun when we start our fire and get to climb into our tent."-
Covet: "Mhhm. It will be quiet and nice. You can bring your art stuff, or writing." He told her with a grin. "I'll help you keep warm too."
Alexithymiaa: "I can't think of a better way to spend our weekend. It sounds perfect. And hopefully I'll be comfortable enough for us to do a little hiking too. Hiking through the mountains I think is my favorite." She leaned up to give him a quick kiss. "Should I pack road snacks?"-
Covet: Felix couldn't help but grin, "We can definitely get some hiking in too." He told her kissing her back, "Yes please, I'll make sure everything else is packed. I'm grabbing my fishing poles too, so we can have some Fresh fish that night."
Alexithymiaa: -She wrinkled her nose, staring up at him. "Fishing? Really? You don't expect me to like... touch the fish, right? With my hands?" They've gone over this. She's too city for that.-
Covet: "No, I don't expect you to do any of that. I'll take care of that, and the cooking. All you need to worry about is reeling them in and eating them." Felix told her.
Alexithymiaa: "Two things I am very good at. Sort of." She laughed, tapping her index finger on his chin. "More the reeling in part. I think I have that down now." She gave him another quick peck before stepping back, turning to look at over leftover sushi. "Here garbage disposal, you can finish this."-
Covet: "Yesssss" He said with a grin as he looked at the sushi she gave him happily eating it up. "I need to shower then I should probably get to sleep. I have class at eleven."
Alexithymiaa: "I don't have class tomorrow, but I was going to head over to Cadence's in the morning to watch Trick for a few hours so she can do her thing. And then I'll pack us up some road snacks and we can leave Saturday morning." She said with a grin, picking up the plates to deposit in the sink. "I'm going to let the dogs out and I'll meet you in bed."-
Covet: "Alright Red. I'll meet you there." He told her giving her a slightly fishy kiss, putting the dishes into the sink before wandering off to the bedroom.
