Seven Deadly Sins : Nightmare on Liones

Today was the day of the big drinking contest.
The world championship!
Meliodas and Ban  had made it into the final after a intensive competition which Meliodas won easily.

"I am really proud of you Meliodas! You were amazing!", said Elizabeth.
"You too Ban you were also reasonable. "
"Gosh thanks Elizabeth" said Ban

Meliodas was still practicing drinking as they walked along. They were taking a tour of the drinking-ing Arena to prepare for the big day tomorrow.

"Oh, look who it is, its the pathetic Meliodas and his pathetic friends. Your all pathetic!  "

It was Zeldris!

"What are you doing here Zeldris?" Meliodas said gruffly.
"Why I am here for the contest."
"Wahhhhaa?" said Ban and Elizabeth.
"Yes I am taking part. I am going to win the world drinking medal and there's nothing you pathetic people can do to stop me! "
With that Zeldris marched off.

"Zeldris is taking part in the contest! I didn't know he  even did it."
"He didn't. He must have learnt over the summer" said Meliodas "But....why?" he then queried quizzically.
"I dont know" said Ban ignorantly. He didn't know Meliodas was asking a rectangular question.
"I guess we will find out tomorrow"

With that they all went back to their rooms in the arena's hotel.

(Fade out)
We now turn out headlights to full beam in order to gaze forward though the mists of time.
The light from them reflects off, not a deer, but a scene 10 years from now - 1 decade into the future.

Meliodas enters the scene, but whats this? Elizabeth is there too.

"Do you remember that thing that happened 10 years ago? The one that seemed like it would split us apart forever, but instead brought us closer then ever? That brought us......to each-other?"

"The time with the Ten Commandments?"
"Yes!"
"Oh, yes right"

"Its hard to believe what happened isn't it? What happened and what it led to"
"Yes my sweetness" said Elizabeth, giving Meliodas a  kiss.
"Now that I have remembered it again I will never forget it."
"It was pretty life changing."

So we now dim our headlights and reverse drive back to the presence, the mists closing back around the future and the camera of our mind drawing back to the world we know of as the now.

The next day, Meliodas was day dreaming.

Elizabeth snapped him out of it by bursting into his room.

"Meliodas! The contest starts soon! Your late! Ban and Zeldris have already changed into their drinkinging kits! "
"Oh, nooes I over slept! Thats not like me at all. "

Meliodas got dressed on the way down stairs, and skidding into the Arena.
The audience was already there and he got  a big appose as he entered.

"oh...you made it I seee. Had a nice night?" Zeldris sneered.

At that moment Meliodas realized he had been drugged! That explained the strange dreams last night. Zeldris must have drugged him while they were talking the other day.
It was too late to do anything about it though. Hehad to hope there was no more surprises.
The starter walked on at that moment, told them to get ready.
Zeldris grinned at hero. Showing all their evil teeth
"Blam!" The starter fired the starting crossbow and the contest had begun!

Ban took the early lead, but Meliodas quickly caught up with the drinkinging. Ban was sweating like mad trying to stay in the contest.
 Zeldris was relaxed though - barely drinkinging at all!

"Whats he upto? Its like he is not even trying"
"And why does he care anyway? He always said drinking was stupid "
"I know, somethings not right" said Meliodas while pulling of a particularly difficult drinking move.
Just then disaster striked!
There was a loud bang BANG! and Ban collapsed.
Meliodas drinkinged backwards for a bit.

"Ban! Are you ok?"
"urg...sabotage..." Ban collapsed.

"Who did it? Who...?"

Zeldris grinned.

"WHO???"

Just then the gong went. It was half-time.

Meanwhile, back in the future, Meliodas and Elizabeth were enjoying each-other.
As the narrator, I will respect their privacy and not specify how. Its certainly clear they were close.
Not just metaphorically but physically with their bodies as well.

Elizabeth was distracted though, thinking back to the past. We join her on her  flashback, a flashback to our story in the present......

Back at the locker room, Elizabeth and Meliodas were talking.  Ban had been taken to the hospital.

"How are you ever going to catch up?"  said Elizabeth.

Zeldris was leading when half time went. Meliodass time spent seeing to Ban had cost him the lead.

"Its not important" said Meliodas.
"Whats important is I know why Zeldris wants to win the World Championship Drinkinging contest. Its the prize."
"hu" said Elizabeth
"I did some research and its really the Ten Commandments! If he wins the contest they will give him it and there will be nothing we can do to stop him"
"omg"
"Also he was the one that sabotaged the poor Ban!"
"poor Ban "
"yes poor Ban "
"The contest doesn't matter any more, we must get that Ten Commandments by winning the contest!'

"But how? How are we going to win"
"I have a plan" said Meliodas

Just then the horn sounded. Half time was over, and the final part of the drinkinging contest had begun!

And now, with that, we once again turn our headbrains to the future, stepping forward down the road of time and walking for 10 years until we get to the place in time which this takes place.

Meliodas and Elizabeth were just finishing. Out of respect for their privacy I will not specify what they were just finishing.

"arg...that was good " said Elizabeth.
"yes, yes it was" said Meliodas.
"You seemed a little distracted near the end though. Not your normal energetic self"
"yes...sorry about that. I was thinking back to a decade ago, when I first realized my feelings for you even though I didn't know it at the time.
Its what opened my eyes to what I felt all along. The missing jigsaw piece to my heart in which you were the key to unlock"

"And our love grew together from that moment to blossom into the great tree that it is today"

"I love you Meliodas my irresistibleness".
"I love you too Elizabeth -my better half.

And they smiled the smile of lovers at each-other, as we fade out into the sunset.
Zeldris was well in the lead by the time they got out.
Elizabeth had taken Bans place in the contest, as is traditional.
Meliodas started drinking-ing. Drinking-ing harder then anyone had ever drinkinged before.
But it wasn't enough. Zeldris was in the lead now, showing off by doing it one handed.
"How are we ever going to catch up" said Elizabeth
"We only have one choice...we have to team up and do the drinking together!"
Meliodas went right next to Elizabeth and they started drinkinging together.
"What you doing?!?" screamed Zeldris. "That cant be in the rules!"

"Actually....there's nothing in the rules that says it CANT be done" said Elizabeth while flicking over the official drinking rule book (she was the contests judge btw - A/N)

"YES! Go Meliodas! Go Elizabeth! " said King who was also in the crowd with a banner that said they were the best.

Inspired by this Meliodas and Elizabeth went ever faster and faster. Many people in the crowd fainted because they drinkinged so hard.

"Nooooo! I cant lose!!" screamed Zeldris as he lost.

Meliodas and Elizabeth finished drinkinging together using teamwork .

"We won!!" exclaimed Elizabeth as they went though the tape.
The crowd went wild!

"You have won!" said Diane. She then carefully handed them the prize.
"No...it was supprosed to be for me!" said Zeldris!

"The Ten Commandments is safe now." said Meliodas as he put on the gold prize.

With that they collected the prize money and went home. Zeldris sulked off. Ban got better but never competed in professional drinkinging again.
