Identity

First of all, this argument usually comes from an insincere place I find. It is usually signaling how worldly the person is, that they know better than the Amerimutts about Europe and Identity in Europe.

It plays into the hands of anti-whites because it aids their deconstruction (ie divide and conquer) narratives. They also play these narratives against national identities in Europe, saying they are just a collection of regional identities held together by a central authority.

But really it's kind of silly. Europeans actually do connect with their national identities, even on reddit. They grasp the history and culture just fine, but think everyone can partake if they accept these cultural ideas.

Why? Well duh, the whiteness has been taken out of the equation. They have no racial sense of themselves so they extend the logic that the differences between them and non-whites are cultural matters like they (kinda) are between subdivisions of whites. I say kinda because these divisions are real but can be easily concealed so they arent perceived to be real (see 'white americans' especially after WWII began the American identity)

And in the case of population genetics, it makes sense to speak in these racial terms rather than ethnic because the multiracial society is what we are fighting against right now. And it is the level where the differences are actually being studied and where the lines are being drawn.

There are real differences between different kinds of Europeans but they pale in comparison to the distinctions between whites and non-whites. That differentiation needs to a part of identity, that there are other spheres of humanity which one has in common with than one's European cousins. Otherwise differences appear arbitrary and really no greater or lesser than language, culture, and history. After all, these are permutations of Whiteness. To say otherwise takes away the foundation. The efficient cause of lasting identities. And again, the issue is the third world invasion, not pan-europeanists using this as a 'back-door'. The EU exists, sure, but clearly they dont think whiteness matters so it cant be blamed for them in my opinion
