- JackHammer #6 & Crackdown #?: Cracked Hammer
- Page 1
- Panel 1
- A figure wearing a hoodie is jogging down a street at night, the streets are lined with old boarding houses, some have boarded up windows, some have boarded up doors. The buildings are side-by-side with no gaps between them. The neighborhood is run down.
- Panel 2
- Small panel, the figure wearing the hoodie is standing in the stoop of one of the boarding houses, knocking on the door.
- Panel 3
- Small panel of the door cracked open revealing a pair of eyes and a question.
- Derek: "You the food delivery boy?"
- Panel 4
- The hooded figure has pulled down his hood with one hand and is holding the door open with the other. It's Brad (see reference image from the Mean Teens).
- Brad: "Not even close"
- Panel 5
- Derek is revealed in full: A tall slender man wearing a coat over a buttoned shirt that's slightly unbuttoned at the top. He has a gold chain around his neck, his hair is black and slicked to the side. He's wearing rings on his right hand as he's reaching to the side of his jacket like he's about to pull something out of it.
- Derek: "You either got my food, or you can amscray."
- Page 2
- Panel 1
- The perspective is from inside. Derek has turned around, Brad is still standing in the doorway (kept mostly shut by a chain) while smiling menacingly.
- Paulie (off panel) "Let him in Derek, he's our temp for the evening."
- Derek: "This kid? Really? He's big, sure, but that's not gonna cut it for what we're doing."
- Panel 2
- Derek has begrudgingly opened the door for Brad to enter. Brad is walking in like he owns the place, trying to look down on Derek.
- Paulie (off panel): "He has a slight reputation."
- Brad: "Yeah, I have 'reputation'."
- Panel 3
- A huge man emerges from a room further in, he has to duck to fit through the door frame on the left side of the hall with one hand on the frame to make sue he doesn't hit his head on it. The man is covered in scars, his hair is black and looks like its wet. Just to hammer the point home of how massive he is, a smaller regular sized man is exiting to the door in front of him (this is Paulie) who has feathery dirty blonde hair, sharp eyes, and is wearing a fully buttoned up shirt with crossing suspenders on top.
- Frank: "We'll see if you live up to it."
- Panel 4
- Close up of Paulie who has his arms folded and the same sharp look to his eyes. Frank's giant scarred hand is gesturing towards him.
- Frank: "I need to know what we're working with here. Paulie's vouching for you, so that goes a long way, but..."
- Panel 5
- Close up of Frank's head and upper chest, he's rubbing his chin with one hand and smiling an awful smile.
- Frank: "Tell ya what, you beat me at arm wrestling and you're in for tonight."
- Page 3
- Panel 1
- In the foyer, Frank is sitting on the floor to get his arm level with Brad's on the table. Brad is sporting a cocky smile, Frank is looking very confident. The perspective is from the side with Brad on the left and Frank on the right.
- Panel 2
- Both are beat red trying to force the other down. Despite his size advantage, Frank is dead even with Brad.
- Panel 3
- Small panel. Close up of Frank with his eyes bulging slightly, some sweat starting to form on his forehead.
- Panel 4
- Small panel. Close up of Brad with his eyes also budging, his nostrils flared way more than should be possible. There's two lines of steam shooting out of his nose.
- Panel 5
- Small panel, close up of Brad's forehead where nubs are starting to poke out of it.
- Panel 6
- Small panel, close up of Brad and Frank's arms where there are two outlines of Brad's arm, one showing how big it was before which is completely within the much bigger, hairier outline of how big it is now.
- Panel 7
- Brad has transformed into a minotaur, he's almost as big as Frank now and he's forced Frank's arm down, breaking or tipping the table in the process. Frank looks more mildly surprised than anything, like he's more focused on the transformation and lost focus on the match.
- Page 4
- Panel 1
- Brad is flexing victoriously. His hoodie is at risk of being blown apart.
- Narration bio box: "Brad, a.k.a. Bull-E. He can transform into a minotaur at will gaining a massive boost to his strength and durability."
- Panel 2
- Frank is shaking out his arm like it was a mild inconvenience. Like flicking the snow off your hand or shaking off water.
- Frank: "Well, deal's a deal. Brad's in on the heist tonight."
- Panel 3
- Focus is on the background where Frank is leaning over a little to hear what Derek is saying. Paulie is also leaning in to hear him. In the foreground, out of focus, Brad is still flexing in victory.
- Derek, whispering: "Are we really gonna let some punk freak join us just like that?"
- Frank: "Yeah, he'll make a perfect distraction."
- Page 5
- Panel 1
- Jack is sitting in a common area of a hotel lobby with some of his teammates while eating dinner. Their coach is standing up next to the table looking at his watch.
- Narration box: Elsewhere,
- Coach: "Alright, where's Brad? This is an away game, not a vacation!"
- Jack: "He said he was going out for a jog, coach."
- Panel 2
- The coach is pinching his brow in frustration while shaking his head.
- Coach: "He'll be out all night then."
- Panel 3
- Close up of Jack, he's put his utensils down and is looking up and over his shoulder.
- Jack: "I'll keep an eye out for him."
- Jack, thinking: "I have my suit, I can go looking if he takes too long."
- Panel 4
- Narration: Quemar pier.
- An establishing shot of a medium sized ship docked at a pier. It's a research vessel and it has "Carver Medical" painted on the side of the haul.
- Panel 5
- Close up of two sailors getting their heads slammed together with a larger hairy hand on one side of both of their heads.
- *THUNK*
- Panel 6
- Bull-E is smiling sadistically as the two men drop to his hooves.
- Page 6
- Panel 1
- Frank, Derek, and Paulie are standing in a sterile looking room aboard the ship. There's a terminal to one side that Paulie has hooked something into. There's a large cylinder on one side of the room that is starting to raise up with a *hiss* sound effect as mist pours down to the floor from it like an open freezer door.
- Panel 2
- Small panel of Frank's large hand removing a smaller tube with a *click* from within the now open chilling vault.
- Panel 3
- Perspective is a close up of the tube showing its contents β a jellyfish β with Derek visible on the other side, but distorted from the refraction.
- Derek: "A jellyfish?"
- Panel 4
- Paulie is setting a heavy metal briefcase down on the floor. He's not looking over at them, but Derek is looking over at Paulie. Frankβs attention is still on the tube.
- Paulie: "Do NOT open that, trust me."
- Frank: "Some real big shots are willing to pay big bucks for these. Far be it from me to turn down a payday like that."
- Panel 5
- The latches are undone on the case with a *pop* and from the crack of the open case a pair of white eyes are seen in the darkness with crack lines coming out from all around them.
- Page 7
- Panel 1
- Large panel of Crackdown springing out of the metal briefcase that is way too small to contain him, the parts of him still inside of the case should look smaller, distorted like a fun-house mirror. He's a large man, but nowhere near as large as Frank. Crackdown is wearing a bomber jacket, gloves, long pants, boots, but his most notable feature is the full head mask that has a pattern like a cracked, dried out lake bed. He's uppercutting Frank, the glass tube is knocked out of his hand.
- Panel 2
- Small panel, close up of the tube landing safely in Crackdown's hand.
- Panel 3
- Frank has been knocked down on his behind, he's rubbing his chin with one hand while using his other arm to help himself get back up.
- Frank: "I should've seen that coming."
- Panel 4
- Crackdown is grabbing Frank's collar to keep him at eye level before he can get up.
- CD: "What's the con this time, Frank?"
- Frank: "Just liberating some innocent sea creatures."
- Page 8
- Panel 1
- Derek has popped his head out the door leading to the deck of the ship and is yelling at Bull-E, who was keeping watch. Bull-E has his arms folded and is turning his head to look at the panicked Derek.
- Derek: "You gonna just stand there or help out?!"
- Panel 2
- Perspective is from behind Crackdown who's eyes are slightly widened, but maintain their usual glare. He's looking at Bull-E who is entering through the door, fist in hand.
- Panel 3
- Bull-E has bowed his head down with his horns sticking out in front of him, he's smiling evilly. There's a light glimmer at the tip of his horns to indicate how sharp they are. There are speed lines around him to show he's charging Crackdown.
- Panel 4
- Perspective is from over Bull-E's shoulder. Crackdown has dropped the tube to use both hands to grab Bull-E's horns as he's pushed back by them.
- Panel 5
- Small panel, close up of Crackdown's shoes to show that he's being pushed back at a high rate of speed.
- Page 9
- Panel 1
- Crackdown has been slammed against a wall, he's still holding Bull-E's horns and his face is right up close to Crackdown's now. Crackdown is scowling at him as much as someone can through a full head mask.
- Panel 2
- Similar to panel 1, only Crackdown's knee is slamming upwards into Bull-E's chin.
- Panel 3
- Bull-E is slightly dazed and looking back-and-forth.
- Bull-E: "What the...? Where'd he go?"
- Panel 4
- Crackdown has appeared behind Bull-E, his lower half is still compressed/distorted from exiting the cracks in the tiles from below Bull-E's hooves.
- Crackdown: "Right behind you." (Is this in-character for him?)
- Panel 5
- Small panel of Crackdown's fist making contact with Bull-E's back, right where a kidney would be.
- Panel 6
- Close up of Bull-E's face, contorted with pain.
- Panel 7
- Crackdown has swept Bull-E's legs causing him to fall backwards.
- Page 10
- Panel 1
- In the background Bull-E is stumbling with Crackdown readying another attack. In the foreground Derek is running away from this, tube in hand. There are cracks in the tube from when it was dropped and there's a little water leaking out.
- Derek: "Come on! While he's busy beating up the kid!"
- Panel 2
- Small panel, close up of the tube as it shatters and tendrils from the jellyfish extend out from it.
- Panel 3
- Derek is using his left arm to clutch his right arm in pain as the jellyfish has latched onto it, the tendrils wrapping around it and digging into his skin. His knees are bent and he's screaming.
- Panel 4
- Close up of Derek's head as he screams. The panel is distorted, his head is all wavy, his eyes look like the insides of a lava lamp, behind his head in the empty space of the panel a kaleidoscope-like effect is happening.
- Panel 5
- Derek is hunched over, clutching his head with his jellyfish free arm. Paulie and Frank have their hands up defensively.
- Paulie: "Aw shit, aw shit! It's assimilating his mind!"
- Page 11
- Panel 1
- Crackdown has one hand on Derek's shoulder and is using it to push him away, the other hand is pulled back holding onto the jellyfish that he is forcefully ripping off of and out of Derek's arm. Derek's eyes have gone white.
- Panel 2
- Close up of the jellyfish in Crackdown's hand, its tendrils are extending, poised to begin forcing their way into Crackdown's arm now.
- Panel 3
- Close up of Crackdown's face. There are dark squiggly lines coming in from around the boarders of the panel, but they are not tendrils.
- Panel 4
- Similar to panel 2, but now there is a black, worm-like entity that is penetrating the jellyfish, entering it and exiting it from multiple points, putting several holes in it as it writhes and dies.
- Note: The squiggly black worms are just a visual representation of CD's "disruption" power. It's not something that is actually visible.
- Panel 5
- Perspective is from Bull-E's point of view, he's still in the process of getting up and is looking at Crackdown as he's tossing the dead jellyfish aside. Paulie is looking after Derek, all eyes are on Derek right now.
- Panel 6
- Small panel, close up of Bull-E's lower face where he's flashing another sinister smile.
- Page 12
- Panel 1
- Crackdown is knelt down next to Derek, he has one of his hands on Derek's face pulling back his eyelid to see his pupils. Derek is groaning. Paulie is side-eyeing CD, but hasn't made a move.
- Panel 2
- Crackdown has turned from Derek and Pualie and is eyeing Frank now, he has a raised clenched fist with his left hand and is gesturing behind him with his right hand. In the background Derek is using his uninjured arm to hold his head.
- Derek, weakly: "Jackass..."
- Crackdown: "What they hell is this, Frank? You're looking to unleash *this* on the city now?"
- Frank: "Well, ideally no, not me specifically. Whatever the buyer does with them is their own business, as long as we get paid."
- Panel 3
- Frank is in the middle of doing a lunging tackle towards Crackdown, his arms are outstretched looking to wrap around CD's neck. CD already has a fist raised ready to meet Frank's face.
- Frank: "AND YOU'VE ALREADY COST US HALF THE GOODS!"
- Panel 4
- Frank is trying to grapple CD who is holding back one of Frank's arms while punching him in the stomach with the other.
- Panel 5
- Focus is shifted downwards where only Crackdown and Frank's legs are in frame. Paulie is trying to drag Derek away from the scramble. In the background part of Bull-E can be seen working is way off-panel.
- Page 13
- Panel 1
- Close up of Bull-E's hand grabbing another tube from the circular cooler.
- Bull-E: "Yoink."
- Panel 2
- Bull-E is out on the ship's deck, one arm is cradling the tube under it, the other arm is on the deck railing as he's jumping over it.
- Panel 3
- Bull-E lands with a *THUD* on the pier, his legs are bent, his back is arched down, it's a safe landing on his hooves and there are crack marks spreading out from the impact. The tube is still secure.
- Panel 4
- In the foreground, Crackdown has been pushed up against the railing fighting off Frank, he has his arms up defensively as he's looking over his shoulder in the direction Bull-E is escaping in the background.
- Panel 5
- Crackdown throws a punch at Frank to get some space.
- Crackdown, thinking: "I can't let that thing loose in the city, I need to finish this quickly and chase him down."
- Page 14
- Panel 1
- Bull-E is running like a football player with the ball, in this case the glass tube is the ball.
- Panel 2
- This is less of a panel and more of a solid black box between panels 1 and 3, it can be represented either by just a solid black box or a building Bull-E has run past. There should be a crack in this void space with an eye looking out from it.
- Panel 3
- After the transition panel 2, Bull-E is back to being just Brad. He has his hoodie back on and up and is still running, but more of a jog now. He's tucking the tube under his jacket.
- Panel 4
- Brad is entering the hotel lobby/common area. Jack is sitting on a couch reading a book, he's glancing over his shoulder to greet Brad, who is making a one handed finger pistol at Jack while smiling. Brad's other arm is tucked inside of his jacket/hoodie. The perspective is looking at Jack in the foreground with Brad walking by behind the couch.
- Jack: "Hey Brad. That must've been one heck of a jog."
- Brad: "You know it! Lapped the city!"
- Panel 5
- Small panel of Brad's arm placing the tube into a duffle bag.
- Panel 6
- Shot of the tube sitting in the bag as it is being zipped up (maybe with a reflection of Brad's face on the tube) as the jellyfish still benignly floats in the tube.
- Part 2
- ----------------------------------
- Page 15
- Panel 1
- Narration: The next day.
- Close up of a TV screen with the anchors from Action News 52 on them. Behind them there is a photo of the Bloom jellyfish.
- Blue Jay: "Today's leading super news, last night in the city of Quemar a Bloom was stolen from a research vessel. The perpetrator is still at large."
- The Cardinal: "We advise all residents to be on the lookout for this jellyfish, if you see it, do not approach, it is exceptionally dangerous. Contact authorities immediately."
- Panel 2
- Jack is holding the TV remote and turning the TV off.
- Jack: "Well, I'm not going in the water, so no worries."
- Panel 3
- Narration: Football practice.
- The coach is holding a clipboard and pointing at Brad who is stretching.
- Coach: "So you like to jog, huh? Then give me 10 extra laps to start."
- Brad: "No sweat."
- Panel 4
- Zoomed out shot of the field so the stands are visible. There are not many people sitting in the bleachers.
- Voice over: "Look at them all, with their bright futures. Friends, respect, and still turning to crime. Why? What's the point of that?"
- Panel 5
- We focus on one person sitting in the bleachers, a man with messy black hair that still falls straight, a rounded chin, scowling eyebrows, and deep bags under his eyes. He's slouched forwards resting his arms on his legs and holding a can of POWER THIRST energy drink.
- Arthur, thinking: "Whatever. While he's busy being an idiot on the field this is the best opportunity to retrieve the sample."
- Page 16
- Panel 1
- Arthur is entering the hotel's lobby, he's checking his phone while doing so.
- Arthur: "It's not hard figuring out what rooms they're staying in."
- Panel 2
- A side shot of Arthur walking into the elevator door, it's not open, he's walking into the crack between the doors.
- Panel 3
- Arthur exists as a white figure in the black negative space, he's still walking.
- Arthur, thinking: "Jellyfish don't possess advanced nervous systems, but they are still 'alive'. I won't be able to exit with it through a crack without killing the sample."
- Panel 4
- Crackdown emerges from a crack between a hotel room door and the wall. He did a costume change into his super suit while in the negative space. His head, upper torso and one arm have already emerged from the crack, the rest of his body is still inside of the crack.
- Narration bio box: "Arthur Braun, a.k.a. Crackdown. He can enter and exit another dimension through cracks and other gaps between objects within a certain range of each other. He can also move cracks around while outside of this dimension and create new ones on an object, to the point of crumbling it, but only if he makes direct contact first."
- Panel 5
- Crackdown is surveying the hotel room. There's a bed, dresser, some luggage, a pile of clothes on a chair including the hoodie Brad wore last night, a door to a bathroom, and a door to a joining room.
- Crackdown, thinking: "I'm in the right room. I need to find this quickly and leave. The less chance of the sample getting loose the better."
- Page 17
- Panel 1
- Jack is closing the door to his room, key-card in hand.
- Jack: "The coach is really letting Brad have it today."
- Panel 2
- Small panel, close up of the connecting door leading to Brad's room where a *thunk* sound effect can be faintly heard.
- Panel 3
- Jack has his ear up against the door now, the panel is split down the middle by the door itself with Jack listening on one side and Crackdown closing drawers on the other side.
- Jack, thinking: "No one should be in Brad's room right now."
- Panel 4
- Jack is using his powers to make the door super not-dense, so there is a rippling effect on it. He's opening the door silently.
- Jack: "Just a peek."
- Panel 5
- Perspective is from in front of Crackdown who is preoccupied with picking up the duffel bag the Bloom sample is in. The door behind him is opening silently with Jack peeking in.
- Jack, thinking: "It's a good thing I brought my suit..."
- Page 18
- Panel 1
- Crackdown is exiting the hotel room normally, even closing the door behind him, duffel back slung over his shoulder. He's looking to the side to something off-panel.
- Jack, off-panel: "Hey!"
- Panel 2
- JackHammer is standing in the hallway with his sledge hammer in both hands. He's in full padded sports/cyclist armor with his helmet and visor, the scarf isn't flowing because he's inside.
- Narration bio box: "Jack Kennedy, a.k.a. JackHammer. He has the power to alter the density of himself and anything he's making contact with, making things much sturdier and heavier or much lighter and frailer."
- JackHammer: "That's not yours. Put it back."
- Panel 3
- Small panel, close up of Crackdown's head facing to the right, he looks unimpressed or as unimpressed so someone can through a mask.
- Crackdown: "Who are you supposed to be?"
- Panel 4
- Small panel, close up of JackHammer's head facing to the left, he's steadfast.
- JackHammer: "Someone who knows that isn't your room and that that doesn't belong to you."
- Panel 5
- Crackdown has his hand on the duffel bag, there's an x-ray bubble to show the tube with the Bloom is being padded by the clothes in the bag.
- Crackdown: "I don't have time for this."
- Crackdown, thinking: "I can't risk this thing attacking an over zealous good seminarian."
- JackHammer, off-panel: "You can either make time, or drop the bag."
- Page 19
- Panel 1
- Crackdown is running down the hall holding the duffel bag with both hands to keep it from jostling. Side note: I get a mental picture of how Grunkle Stan runs in the opening of Gravity Falls while holding the cash register.
- JackHammer, off-panel: "Hey!"
- Panel 2
- Long vertical panel of a stairwell showing Crackdown running down the flight of stairs in multiple positions to indicate how quickly he made it down.
- Panel 3
- Crackdown is looking back seeing that JackHammer jumped the stairs and landed right behind him. He's realized this isn't just a bicyclist, but a bush league hero like himself.
- Crackdown, thinking: "Oh... no."
- Panel 4
- Perspective is from in front of Crackdown who is running alongside the practice field with JackHammer who is gaining on him quickly. There are speed lines around the panel to show their momentum towards the viewer.
- Crackdown, thinking: "This guy in his makeshift gear... He doesn't even look like he's taking this seriously. This is just a hobby for him, for cheep thrills."
- Panel 5
- Small panel, close up of JackHammer's hand reaching for the bag.
- Panel 6
- Crackdown has spun around mid run and JackHammer is readjusting his stance.
- Crackdown: "Fine!"
- Page 20
- Panel 1
- Small panel of Crackdown's hand letting go of the bag's strap allowing it drop gently to the ground. The perspective should be more of a bird's eye view, as in angled from above to show the bag having dropped a short distance.
- Panel 2
- Small panel of Crackdown ripping a piece of the bleacher's guard rails off with some of those black worm effects on the point that's breaking.
- Panel 3
- Crackdown is holding a piece of metal like a makeshift club and taking a fighting stance.
- Crackdown: "So that's how you wanna do it, huh? Alright, you're ON!"
- Panel 4
- JackHammer's sledge hammer and Crackdown's metal scrap piece clash with some sparks flying. Both are trying to overpower the other.
- Panel 5
- Crackdown takes a swing with JackHammer blocking with the hammer.
- Panel 6
- JackHammer thrusts the hammer head at Crackdown who ducks to the side.
- Page 21
- Panel 1
- JH and CD are locked again, but this time there are gravity lines all around JH, his hammer, and CD.
- CD, thinking: "Heavy...?"
- Panel 2
- CD still has gravity lines all around him and is forced to the ground on one knee trying to stand, arms straight down on either side. He can't get up because his body is too heavy to move. The head of the sledge hammer is gently sitting on CD's shoulder.
- CD: "This won't stop me."
- Panel 3
- JH is off-balance (catching himself as the force he was exerting forward on the hammer gives way) as CD is disappearing into the ground through a crack.
- Panel 4
- The upper half of the panel is normal with JH looking down at where CD was, tapping the spot on the ground with his hammer. The lower half of the panel is negative space with CD's white silhouette reaching up from below towards JH's legs, like a Jaws poster, a shark of the land.
- Panel 5
- JH is pulled into the ground through a crack up to his calves. He looks shocked and in discomfort.
- JH: "AHH! Tingly!?"
- Panel 6
- CD is walking away from JH who is touching the spots around where his legs are going into the ground.
- CD: "You can just stay there for a while."
- Page 22
- Panel 1
- Perspective is from above looking down, JH is touching the ground that his legs are stuck in. There's are ripples coming out of the ground from where his legs are in contact with it.
- JH, thinking: "Like pins and needles! I'm not stuck in the ground, but something else. I hope this works."
- Panel 2
- JH is pulling himself free of the ground. There are still ripples coming out from where he's touching the ground, but his body is covered in the gravity lines to show he made himself denser as well to break the area around where he was stuck in. The ground around him is breaking as his legs get free and no worse for ware.
- Panel 3
- CD looks shocked as JH shakes his legs off.
- CD, thinking: "That's not... no one has ever been able to free themselves before."
- Panel 4
- CD is rushing JH. He's pushing back the handle of the sledge hammer with the metal scrap and has his other hand on the head of the hammer with the black worm effect happening.
- Panel 5
- JH pushes CD back. Both of their eyes are on the hammer head which only has little pock marks on it instead of holes.
- CD, thinking: "Why isn't it crumbling? What are his powers?"
- JH, thinking: "He's trying to do something to my hammer, I better keep the density up."
- Panel 6
- Close up of the hammer head, it is pointed up and to the side. It is surrounded by gravity lines and the black worms are in and out of it, but there are hanging taught from it, unable to move freely because of the extra weight being added to them. The destruction effect has been greatly slowed.
- Page 23
- Panel 1
- Brad is still running laps like it's not big deal, he's glancing over to the fight happening in the stands between CD and JH.
- Brad: "Looks like I'm not the only one who likes to have fun around here. Do I know those guys?"
- Panel 2
- Small panel, close up of Brad's bag left abandoned to the side with speed lines all around it.
- Brad: "Oh crap! I left that in my room!"
- Panel 3
- Brad is in mid transformation with his horns just starting to erupt from his forehead and steam coming out of his nostrils as he begins to run over there.
- Panel 4
- CD is dramatically punching JH in the face who had moved to block with his hammer expecting more of the metal scrap club. It's a solid enough punch to split JH's lip despite the extra mass.
- Panel 5
- JH is giving CD an equally dramatic two handed hammer thrust blow to the chest, which is enough to knock CD away, knock him off his feet, and even make him lose the angry glint to his eyes in sheer shock.
- Page 24
- Panel 1
- CD is down on his knees clutching his chest. JH is standing next to him with an apologetic stance. There are speed lines around the panel to show something is coming up on them fast.
- Panel 2
- Bull-E is coming to a turning stop while kicking up dirt onto both JH and CD, there are skid marks in the field from where he slid on his hooves to lose momentum. Bull-E is knelt down with one hand grabbing the bag.
- Bull-E: "Later, chumps!"
- Panel 3
- Bull-E is running away from JH and CD, leaving them in the background. CD is kneeling down to the skid marks in the field, JH is readying himself to give chase.
- Panel 4
- Small panel. Close up of CD's arm entering the "crack" in the field. The upper arm is normal, but the hand is going through the ground into the negative space.
- Panel 5
- Bull-E is holding his bag up in shock as CD has grabbed hold of it, emerging from a crack in the field caused by the impact of Bull-E's one man stampede on it. In the background there is a dotted outline indicating from where CD entered the crack and how JH is only half-way there so far.
- Page 25
- Panel 1
- Bull-E has raised the bag even higher, lifting CD off of his feet. CD is visibly straining to hold on after the blow to the chest he took.
- Bull-E: "Get offa' me! It's mine!"
- Panel 2
- Close up of the bag as the zipper is torn open and the tube containing the Bloom is being ejected from it into the air.
- Panel 3
- Both CD and Bull-E have turned in the direction of where the tube is flying, both fruitlessly reaching out for it.
- Panel 4
- Worm's eye view from behind CD and Bull-E, the tube is high in the air arching towards JH in the distant background who is still catching up.
- CD yells to JH: "That's dangerous! Don't let it touch you!"
- Panel 5
- Small panel, close up of JH's hands catching it effortlessly.
- Panel 6
- JH is holding the tube carefully, looking down at it.
- JH: "What is this?"
- Page 26
- Panel 1
- CD is hunched forwards still holding his chest. JH is looking at the tube with more of a shocked expression now.
- CD wheezes: "A biological weapon. This punk football player stole it last night."
