Harbinger: Main protag, summons monsters and doesn't want to do evil, is trying to save wife
Azula: First side char, steals skills from monsters, calls Harbinger "Harbor", has some romance with him, water type
Romeo: Second side char, is a gunslinger, has some reliable damage and some healing shit (think lance from EBF3), has some gambling skils, physical type

Darkraith: Phantom summon thing, is harbinger's first summon, dark type, can be upgraded to a special new form using Abraham's corrupt soul
Jakulos: Sea serpent monster, water type
Pig F.: Physical-based hog summon, physical type, can berserk
Lodonon: Golem gunman, holy type
Quora: Mysterious man with a question mark for his head, can change types at will
Ifra: A female firebomb (living fireball), fire type
Dreblan: A living pumpkin that manipulates a suit of armor, nature type
Moccaza: A female devil with very precise control of heat, supports with healing (sears wounds close), blood boiling, and stuff, fire type
NPCs -------------------
Gate: Evil god who will return harbinger's wife to life when he has 4 "pure" souls, meaning killing 4 main bosses
Rakus: Romeo's father, a gambler who made a really stupid gamble with high odds and somehow lucked out, making him rich despite being unable to hold a steady job of any kind. Taught Romeo how to gamble.
Nii: A young girl with a pure soul, protected by the Undead Mafia, will be killed by Harbinger for Gate
Aros: Servant of Gate, a cultist that is the main merchant of the game, probably has a secret boss fight
Antags -----------------
Abraham: Crusader with holy magic and a big-ass sword, is actually pretty fucking evil and has corrupt soul
Tuxedo: A ghost godfather-type crook, married to Gown, father of Nii, his battle theme is Let's Dance Boys!
Gown: A ghost woman married to Tuxedo, loves Nii very much, fights alongside Tuxedo
PLOT IDEAS --------------------------------
Gate betrays Harbinger, and is final boss
Before final boss, play as wife and beat up Harbinger, who is helpless
Harbinger is told to kill a child (which is really a disguised demon), but can't. Demon slashes his fucking face up, and his left eye is completely destroyed by the claw, which is replaced by a violet Gate's eye (gives him a new skill, like, Portent of Doom).
Game begins in a dream, Harbinger is remembering his wife's death.
After final boss, when Gate is sealed away, the player gets to pick if Harbinger will turn himself in (the "Unfortunate Justice" ending) or will run away with Azula and Romeo (the "Guilty Conscience" ending)
Has secret "true" ending, fixing everything
MECHANICS IDEAS -------------------------
Every time you meet a boss, it plays the MMX guitar intro (from mmx4 or mmx5 i think) and shows a pic of them, with some info, sort of smash 4/jojo/scott pilgrim style
