CSGO Workshop artists manipulating the voting system, collusion, snobbery


We bring this to your attention via my email unfortunately as the others wanted to raise this with media outlets so below is a group collected summary :

CSGO WorkShop Weapon Skin review:
The fact is it seems as the entire
thing is underminded by the demi
god artists that colude & manipulate insidiously with
the ratings by community votes.
Most of them seem to have an abundance
of groups with members in the 100's
The Artists themselves seem to vote down anything by new entrants with
a number of group members also voting down any new weapon art.

They bottle neck the market by sometimes releasing an entire page
of Weapon skins , what translates to
any current works by new artists are
simply put back a few pages.

They always seem to vote down instantly any art as they tend to
believe they are superior and infact
are very practiced in group manipulation of the votes. One mean
is abundantly clear by the fact they
are constantly adding new skins by
friends on the profile in the same style. pages of 200 plus are always
infact by friends, translating into
many streams of friends activity.
This means they can simply vote up anything that a colleauge has voted up as its added to there favourites plus it saves them haveing to wade through workshop skins to vote up
these skins. It has been noted and raised prior by Workshop artists that the instant they upload any workshop skins esp very good ones they recieve many down votes instantly. Which turns out to be other Artists, mainly ones who have had weapons accepted into the Csgo game prior - These snobby self opinionated demi gods acutally are on between them for 24/7 to view with disdain and vote down anything
not of the friends they frequent with plus to aid the manipulation of
the voting system
Its so blatant if you actually check some profiles of these insepid artists they seem to have the same people on the profiles, in some cases the same persons name has been seen on near every workshop accepted
art into CSGO.

Bear in mind the added volume of instagram and facebook pus Reddit these artists
are manipulating the voting process at everystage. It has been raised that even within 2 hours of a new skin release it had 82k votes up
By a system of friends favourites, group followers they form it's known
amongst them how this system is undermined. We have seen russian profiles with many pages of equally good skins that have never had an item accepted. Also if you dig deeper they even have groups for artists who have only had items accpeted into steam games, translates into a group of snobby demi god artists of weapon skins across the board with each member having groups of followers.

Lastly they post announcements of thier arts within those groups some of which numbering 10k plus but say
compliements will only be welcome of
at least a line of text is written saying what you liked about there works.

This blatant market manipulation by
accepted content Artists plus the 1000's of followers they have needs to be stopped. They also seem to use the new artists work and simply make a skin similair to it in other games
as new Artists are not aware that other games workshops allow weapon skins, not straight away it takes months for them get more familiar.

Some of our peers have also raised concerns at seeing the art they made
for csgo being used in other games on near duplicate skins being pinched. Often the very same Artists that had work accepted into CSGO.

This is done through a collective hive. Also many of them pass out work to new steam accounts of a year or less to submit to workshops as thier own works of art, there by recieving a cut of income tax free
The new users are quite happy to get a skin into a game and pay tax as they never created it in the first place.

Some other community Artists have raised and even mentioned this on there profiles that the voting down is infact other salty artists who have had work previously accepted into CSGO. We suggest that all works submitted by the known Artists
are infact stopped at the accepting into CSGO for a year to give new artists a fair chance as it should be.

The circle of Artists currenty with skins accepted into CSGO run this almost like a well oiled mafia system of collusion and manipulation
from votes right down to 400 plus favourite weapon skins  .

To and outsider looking in with experience of the world this is blatantly apparent, the system as it is now.
