- 22:23:36 < NetRipper> any rom cookers here? i dont think its hd2-specific
- 22:23:47 < NonPlayerChar> "Keep in mind that if you'd like a higher message quota, you can always send an SMS to your own phone, and then reply to that message multiple times. Every time you
- send a reply message, your quota is increased by five. Effectively, you're buying more messages by paying your phone company for these outgoing messages."
- 22:24:11 < OndraSter> NetRipper, sure
- 22:24:18 < NonPlayerChar> That doesnt sound like a bad deal at all
- 22:24:37 < NetRipper> OndraSter, ok i got a question regarding tweaks..
- 22:25:02 < OndraSter> oh I didnt know you were gonna ask questions :P

- 22:25:05 < NetRipper> :P
- 22:25:12 < NetRipper> i think about any rom cooker applies mostly the same speed tweaks, hence i think its common.. :p anyway
- 22:25:15 < OndraSter> otherwise I'd tell you "wait a sec till I get to bed"
- 22:25:45 < OndraSter> we optimalize XIP a bit
- 22:25:47 < OndraSter> a bit more ]:->
- 22:25:49 < NetRipper> i'm working on linux on my hd2.. so quite a lot i have to boot into linux, which basically shuts down windows mobile in the hardest way possible.. any "in memory"
- changes are not persisted
- 22:26:23 < NetRipper> because of that, i often have to hard reset.. because some registry changes were not persisted => corrupt.. or some other things fail
- 22:26:30 < NetRipper> any idea what tweak in particular could cause such a thing?
- 22:26:32 < tmzt> NetRipper: port the xip stuff from dzo
- 22:26:32 < cerjam> its a bad deal when it used to be unlimited.
- 22:26:56 < tmzt> or the minimal one, I see that's what your asking about
- 22:27:24 < NetRipper> tmzt, it's unrelated to cooking itself.. i just want to disable some speed tweaks, in favor of having a windows mobile i don't have to hard reset every time i try out a
- new linux kernel (which is hell of a lot)
- 22:27:44 < NetRipper> about 1 out of 5 times i boot a kernel, the registry gets corrupted
- 22:27:55 -!- unity_punk [~unitypunk@76-14-141-97.rk.wavecable.com] has joined #xda-devs
- 22:27:56 < NetRipper> and it doesn't happen on stock roms, without any tweaks :p
- 22:27:56 -!- zinx [~zinx@unaffiliated/zinx] has joined #xda-devs
- 22:28:16 < OndraSter> well then dump stock
- 22:28:18 < OndraSter> and edit it :)
- 22:28:22 < OndraSter> like remove stuff
- 22:28:31 < NetRipper> yea no i'll leave cooking to the experts :P
- 22:28:48 < NetRipper> i just want to reverse some speed tweaks, and im just hoping you know which build up a lot of memory
- 22:28:51 < NetRipper> large caches or something
- 22:29:00 < NetRipper> guess i'll just try some tweak apps and disable some stuff hehe
