After I got the Star Fox Assault WR yesterday, I didn't really feel a whole lot of joy in it because of that big mistake in Sauria that cost me 6 seconds that taunted me in the back of my mind. However after sleeping through the night and having it be all that I thought about pretty much all day today at work, I just have to say thanks everyone who's ever watched me run that game, and has shown some sort of interest in it in some way. Going into the stream last night, Assault was the only game I played for the last 2 weeks because I was determined to beat what I thought was the impossible run and I'm so glad it paid off. I've never pushed a game that far before, even though I've tried many times (see Mighty Switch Force!, Kirby Squeak Squad, and Metroid Prime Hunters), and getting that run was one of the most satisfying things I've had in a long while. I was smiling a lot at work and had just random outbursts of joy throughout the day reflecting back on the game and what I've done in my now WR. All I can do now is hope that when I submit it to AGDQ this Saturday that it gets a shot at being in the marathon. There's never been a Star Fox speedrun in a GDQ before, unless you count Zallard1's Star Fox 64 Score Attack at AGDQ 2014 as a speedrun, so it would be cool to get some representation of the series in some way at this event.

As for my plans for the game now, I plan on doing a tutorial series for each mission, and I might start that this weekend some time. I'll go in depth about all the techniques used in the run, and the little stuff that you might not notice or I might not explain too well when doing runs. If anyone has any suggestions as to what to talk about during the autoscrollers of Missions 4 and 7, then please tweet them at me haha. I also want to submit my run to SDA since my recording had no mic audio in it. I'll need to crop out the splits though and upload it again, but it's whatever. I've never submitted anything there before, so I guess it'd be cool to have it showcased up there maybe idk.

Thanks for reading if you did =)
