Axel meets Rana for the first time

Axel stays silent, whoever this girl is has an absolutely terrible attitude that her cute face can’t cover up for. Instead, Axel stares up to the sky, or whatever can be gleamed since the trees are too tall to see what lies past them. Annoyed, Rana grabs Axel’s arm and drags him back to her place. Instead of trying to resist, Axel entertains the girl hoping that complying will allow him to go back faster.

Axel refuses to take the fruit. Even if it looks like an apple, it could be laced with something toxic. Rana’s teasing is incapable of penetrating Axel’s steeled exterior.

Axel doesn’t even attempt to entertain Rana by trying to catch the Melmetal. It isn’t one of the legendary birds, and he thinks it looks stupid and wouldn’t use it on any of his teams even if it might be strong. At this point she’s pissed off. No matter what she tries, she can’t get Axel’s face to change from his emotionless stare. She can’t even read his eye language since he’s wearing sunglasses even indoors. She doesn’t even try to brag about her talismans. Even if she did, Axel wouldn’t care. He would think it’s a trap and will pull a prank on him whenever he gets back to his world.

Fortunately for Axel, it isn’t long until he gets to go back to his own world. Rana doesn’t even say a goodbye, preferring to just stick her tongue out at him childishly. Axel barely reflects on what just happened, hoping to never that girl again until she gets a change in attitude.
