- >You were able to keep Pinkie talking for the rest of the day. She wouldn't add any of her experiences, but at least you got her to talk. The best part was, she wasn't glaring at you anymore. You even got her to half-smile at one of them.
- >You were able to keep her active enough to where she missed the breakfast tray. You decide to eat only the chips and the peanut butter side of the sandwhich, hurriedly eating it before she woke up.
- Pinkie: A-Aan..Aanon..
- >Uh oh. She caught you.
- >You run back to your corner, and wait for the shouts. They didn't come. You look over, and see that she's still sleeping.
- >That's weird, you swore you heard her-
- Pinkie: Aanon...
- >Holy crap, she's sleeptalking.
- >You slowly creep over to her, breakfast tray with you.
- Pinkie: You're so... kind...
- >You pause. She was really out of it. You quickly put the tray down, and kneel next to her, listening.
- Pinkie: I like.. you..
- >Ha. You knew she would come around.
- >Should you try to find the keys? They were probably in her pocket. Maybe you could..
- >She starts to shake, and she moves her hand back and forth, almost as if she's.. stabbing something.
- >You run back over to your corner, relieved to widen the distance between you two.
- >Pinkie finally woke up, and found the tray next to her. She smiled when she saw you leave your jelly part of the sandwich, but quickly turned it to an angry frown. She gladly took it though. You knew that you were starting to feel weak. You hadn't really eaten that much in over a day, but you knew that if you held off a little longer, it would be worth it.
- >Today, you took one step from your corner, a tiny bit closer to Pinkie. You can tell that Pinkie noticed, but she didn't mention it.
- >After about another hour, you can tell Pinkie was getting bored again.
- Do you want to hear another story Pinkie?
- Pinkie: Yeah! I mean.. whatever.
- >You tell her of the time you were dared to put your hand on a stovetop for 3 seconds.
- Pinkie: Why would you do that?!
- I'm not sure. I guess peer pressure made me do it..
- Pinkie: Do you have any other stories?
- >You start telling her more and more stories, untill the dinner tray is there.
- >You and Pinkie both walk over to it. as soon as you see her start, you automatically stop and walk back.
- >Did she just look hurt? Nah.
- >You decide that now is a good time to meditate as she paws through the bags. She again takes all of the sugary parts, and puts the rest in a bag. You didn't dare touch it. She was still to unstable. You couldn't risk her snapping.
- >She sits back down, and watches your next move.
- >You start meditating, and zone out for a couple of hours. When you come back, you see that she is sound asleep. You still don't risk it, letting the door open and take it, crying a little inside. You were really hungry.
- >You decide to just try and sleep it off, trying to forget the hunger, and the pain in your wrists. The shackles were starting to chafe.
- >On the other side of the room, Pinkie wasn't really sleeping. She was still confused.
- >Why would they pair me up with this idiot?! They just want me to trust him. To let him in and make me vulnerable. Then he's just going to smash my hopes and feelings! Just like every other human I've met!
- >She feels that nagging in the back of her head again.
- >But what if he's different? What if he really is that nice? He doesn't act like any of the other humans here..
- >She carefully gets up to look at Aanon.
- >Maybe I should just end him. He was just going to cause me pain, just like all of the other humans! He is no different than the rest of them!
- >She gets to her feet, and walks over to the sleeping human.j
- >He looks so peaceful.. Too bad he won't wake up.
- >Pinkie raises her foot, ready to stomp on Aanon's head.
- Aanon: Pinkie..
- >She stops, shocked.
- >Is he awake?! Or is he..
- >Aanon starts to wrap his arms around the air around him.
- >Is he trying to.. hug?! was he-
- >Aanon starts to stir.
- >There was no time. Pinkie quickly runs over back to her corner, and lays down, pretending to sleep.
- >Yawn.
- >You had dreamt of her again.
- >This one was different though. She actually wasn't trying to kill you this time. She still hated you though.
- >You stretch and look over at Pinkie. She was still sound asleep in the oppisite corner.
- >Man, you really had to go pee.
- >Wait a minute, how were you going to go to the bathroom? When you were in previous rooms, they had let you out to relieve yourself. Were they going to do that here? Does that mean you get-
- >The door slides open again, and you whip your head in its direction. The usual sacks come out on a tray, with the water containers and.. something else.
- >You walk over to the tray, and look at the two small bags that came with the sacks. You pick one of them up. It had a small pill in it. You look down at the tray for an explanation, and sure enough, there was a note.
- "I understand that there will be a.. bathroom problem. These pills will fix that."
- >That's all there was.
- >Okay, that was creepy.
- >You take the pill out, and examine it. It was white, of course. You didn't know if you should trust it though. Then again, your bladder felt like it was going to explode. Plus, if they wanted to kill you, they could easily do it.
- >You tilt your head back, and swallow the pill. It had no taste to it.
- >You instantly feel like you already went to the bathroom. Whatever was in that pill worked. You would rather do it the natural way though. Were the heck does it go then?
- >You put your fingers to your forehead. You were too tired for this crap.
- >You think about your situation.
- >Pinkie seemed to be warming up to you, but she still seemed to not like you, or trust you. There had to be someway to change that..
- >Maybe if you get her to trust you, she would in turn like you too.
- >Maybe if you showed that you trusted her, she would return the feeling.
- >The only problem was, you didn't trust her. You were still scared of her.
- >You sigh. This was going to take some time.
- >You decide to take it one little baby step at a time.
- >You abandon your corner, your sack with you, and you sit in the corner that was adjacent to Pinkie's. You were already starting to breathe hard. You didn't like being this close to her. Sure, you hugged her, but you were already so close to her that at that point, it didn't really matter.
- >Pinkie was starting to awaken.
- >You were sweating. Badly.
- >What was she going to say?! You really didn't want to die.
- >Pinkie shifts her eyes to your corner, seeming a little afraid of something.
- >What was she scared of? You haven't even done anything to her.
- >She then shifts her eyes to you, in your new corner.
- >You quickly focus on your lunch, starting to shake a little.
- >You take out your sandwich, and pull it apart. You eat the peanut butter part, and put the jelly part in the bag. It was becoming habit to give her your lunch. You just wish she would return the favor.
- >You eat the chips, and then slide the bag over to Pinkie. She wasn't glaring at you anymore, just staring at you. You weren't sure which was worse.
- >She opens the bag, and gladly does what she always does to your lunch, licking the jelly off, and eating the cookie. She seemed to be confused about something, but what? You always gave her your lunch.
- >She walks over to the tray, and puts your bag on it. She picks up the tiny bag, and the note. She scoffs at it, and throws the pill in the opposite direction.
- >Doesn't she have to go to the bathroom? There was no possible way she didn't need to go.
- Aren't you going to take the pill?
- >She whips her head over to you, and is once again glaring at you.
- Pinkie: Why should I?! It could be poison, or it could make me loose my mind!
- >It was too late for that, but you didn't say anything.
- But why would they do that? It doesn't seem-
- Pinkie: I'm not taking the pill. Do you have a problem with that?
- >She starts to walk over to you, menacingly.
- >Was she trying to find a way to kill you? You were trying your hardest to not say anything to upset her, but it still doesn't work.
- But you can't hold it in forever-
- Pinkie: I don't care! You can't make me take it!
- I wasn't trying-
- >She was inches away from you. You stand up, and try to keep a straight face. It was tough.
- Pinkie: You probably know that they put something in it, don't you?! You just want to kill me, don't you?!
- I'm just trying to help-
- Pinkie: I don't need your help! I don't need any human's help!
- >Wait, what? Why did she say it like that?
- >She goes for a punch.
- >However, You saw it coming. You catch her hand.
- >She tries again with her other hand, with the same result, a little more difficult with your shackles.
- >You quickly switch your grip to her wrists, her squirming was proving to make it difficult.
- Pinkie: Let go of me! You have no right to touch me!
- >And she just tried to hit you.
- First tell me why you hate me.
- Pinkie: I hate you because you're you!
- That doesn't even make any sense! You've been glaring at me the second I was thrown in here! Why do you not like me? Do you not like the way I look? Do you think I work for them? Well I don't, I'm held hostage here too!
- Pinkie: I already know that! Now get off of me!
- >You can feel her temper rising. You had to act quick before she blew a fuse.
- Pinkie, just remember. All of us are different. We don't all treat a person the same way. Some will try to hurt you, and others will try to help you. And no matter what happens, just remember.
- >You look straight in her eye.
- I will never hate you. I will always like you, and be kind to you. Even when you take my food, I will give you the sweet parts the next time. Even though you won't give me those keys, I won't take them unless you want me to have them. I don't want anything bad to happen to you Pinkie, even though you want everything bad to happen to me.
- >She had stopped squirming, and was looking at you innocently.
- Pinkie: But, why? Why would you do so much for me?
- Because you remind me of when I first came here. Nobody helped me, and everyone treated me like crap. I don't want the same for you.
- >And with that, you put your chains over her, and genuinely hug her.
- >All of your fears from her were still there, and you still didn't trust her, but you wanted to know that she could trust you.
- >She didn't fight the hug this time, but she still didn't hug you back.
- >She seemed to fit perfectly in your arms. Too bad that she was still insane.
- >You break the hug this time, raising your arms over her and back to your front.
- >You were really getting tired of these chains..
- >Pinkie looked really looked confused now. She started to slowly back away from you, back into her corner.
- >You still stand there, thinking.
- >That was close. He almost caught you on that one.
- >Wait, why did it matter? Why didn't you just kill him? You've done it to the countless other guards.. what made him so special?
- >Pinkie carefully peeks over at Aanon. He yawned and stretched, and looks over to her. Pinkie quickly pretends to sleep.
- >Why can't I do it? Am I starting to.. like him? No.. He'll just stab me in the back, like all of the others-
- >The door slides open with the breakfast tray.
- >I do not want that stupid sandwich again. Not enough sugar..
- >Pinkie thinks back to all of the times Aanon gave her half his lunch. She smiles at the thought, but shakes her head.
- >I don't get it, why is he being so nice? What does he get out of it? Does he just want the keys?! Maybe that's it!
- >She shakes her head, knowing it wasn't true.
- >He hasn't even tried to get the keys from me.
- >*sigh* I might as well eat something.
- >Pinkie gets up, checking Aanon's corner. He was gone.
- >Pinkie's fear rose.
- >Where did he go? Didtheytakehim? ButIliked-
- >She sees him in the other corner. She breathes a sigh of relief.
- >Wait, why do I care if he's gone? I should've been happy, not scared.
- >I almost said I liked- No. I'm not even going to think it.
- >She gets up, and walks over to the tray.
- >Why was he sitting there anyway? Was he trying to get closer to me? I thought he was scared of me.
- >Pinkie thinks back to when you backed away from her when you both went for the sacks. She is saddened a little.
- >Does he trust me? Why would he though?
- >She couldn't believe it. She just tried to kill Aanon, and yet he trusts her.
- >Pinkie saw a tiny bag with her normal items. It had a note with it.
- "I understand that there will be a.. bathroom problem. These pills will fix that."
- >Pinkie really had to go, but there was no way she was taking it. She had taken pills from them before, and the consquences were always.. drastic.
- >She throws it to the other side of the room, pissed.
- >Pinkie feels something hit her foot. Aanon has slid his bag over to her. She opens it up, and once again, Aanon has given up half of his lunch.
- >She forces down another smile, and accepts the generous offer again.
- >Why does he do it? What does he get from being kind to me?
- >She was fed up with it. She felt her anger rise from not understanding.
- Aanon: Aren't you going to take the pill?
- >She whips her head to Aanon.
- Pinkie: Why should I?! It could be poison, or it could make me loose my mind!
- Aanon: But why would they do that? It doesn't seem-
- Pinkie: I'm not taking the pill. Do you have a problem with that?
- >She wasn't really mad, but she wanted a way to lash out at Aanon.
- >She starts to walk over to him, fed up with his mysterious kindness.
- Aanon: But you can't hold it in forever-
- Pinkie: I don't care! You can't make me take it!
- Aanon: I wasn't trying-
- >She was inches away from him now. Aanon stands up, his face expressionless.
- Pinkie: You probably know that they put something in it, don't you?! You just want to kill me, don't you?!
- >She knew that wasn't true, but she needed this. It's been too long..
- Aanon: I'm just trying to help-
- Pinkie: I don't need your help! I don't need any human's help!
- >She hated the fact that Aanon wanted to help her. She didn't need anyone.
- >She finally had something against him, and curls up her fists.
- >She goes for a punch.
- >Aanon catches it.
- >Shocked, she tries again with her other hand, but he does the same, even with his chains still on.
- >Pinkie squirms to get control again, but it was no use: he already grabbed her wrists.
- Pinkie: Let go of me! You have no right to touch me!
- >She never trusted any human to touch her. It always ended badly.
- Aanon: First tell me why you hate me.
- Pinkie: I hate you because you're you!
- >She knew that wasn't true.
- Aanon: That doesn't even make any sense! You've been glaring at me the second I was thrown in here! Why do you not like me? Do you not like the way I look? Do you think I work for them? Well I don't, I'm held hostage here too!
- Pinkie: I already know that! Now get off of me!
- >He was actually starting to get angry. It wasn't like her anger though. It still felt forgiving. It started to get her angry though.
- >She could already feel the breaking point-
- Aanon: Pinkie, just remember. All of us are different. We don't all treat a person the same way. Some will try to hurt you, and others will try to help you. And no matter what happens, just remember.
- >He looks at her, straight in her eye. She froze. It felt like he was staring right into her soul. It felt so scary, but right.
- Aanon: I will never hate you. I will always like you, and be kind to you. Even when you take my food, I will give you the sweet parts the next time. Even though you won't give me those keys, I won't take them unless you want me to have them. I don't want anything bad to happen to you Pinkie, even though you want everything bad to happen to me.
- >She stopped her glaring, and looked at Aanon innocently.
- >She had to ask. She had it with guessing.
- Pinkie: But, why? Why would you do so much for me?
- Aanon: Because you remind me of when I first came here. Nobody helped me, and everyone treated me like crap. I don't want the same for you.
- >Aanon lets go, and lifts his arms up. She knew what was going to happen next, but she couldn't move. He had shocked her with his kindness.
- >He puts his chains over Pinkie, hugging her.
- >She was still in shock.
- >Should I hug him back? Do I want to?
- >She thinks deeply about it.
- >Yes. I do.
- >Just as she was about to return it though, Aanon breaks it.
- >With that hug, Pinkie was officially confused.
- >She backs away from Aanon, until she was safely in her corner.
- >What should I do?! I wanted to.. hug him. I wanted to.. kill him just a few minutes ago. I..
- >She stops to think.
