Reader beware: Here there be longpost. 18+ only. Violators will be shot into the sun. Now that we've got that out of the way, a few preliminary details, disclaimers, and delving deep into dynamics to make sure I'm not wasting your time and you're not wasting mine:

As stated before, I'm only accepting people 18 and over for this. Yes, even if it's SFW. Yes, I will ask to confirm. Yes, I will block you if I find out I've been lied to. Be cool and be an adult and we'll get along just fine. Going over preferences and boundaries is very important to me, so while I'll often ask for your input to make sure we're on the same page, I'm not one to constantly respond with "I'm fine with anything" or "whatever you want." That contributes nothing to discussion and puts the burden on you to do all the heavy lifting, which I'm not about. I'd like if you could offer the same courtesy and come prepared to collaborate and give ideas.

On length: I work with what I'm given, but I tend to prefer responses in the 2-4 paragraph range, with more or less depending on what we need. I'm unfortunately ill with Can't Shut Up Syndrome and may stray into purple prose, but I'm a big proponent of saying as much as you need to say and not worrying about padding your posts with fluff just to meet some arbitrary wordcount. Quality over quantity; I'm not looking for novels, but giving me two sentences in response to 6 paragraphs bums me the fuck out because the effort put in doesn't line up. Take your time, give it your best, and I'll meet you where you are so I'd appreciate if you did the same for me.

I'm not fussed about reply speeds and I'd prefer you were similarly chill about not getting an immediate response. I'm often busy, concentrating on other things, or quite honestly just not in the mood for one particular thread over another. Nothing personal. Roleplay's a hobby and I like to keep it that way, so you can rest assured that I won't be bugging for replies. If you're concerned, feel free to check in, just please try to be patient and understanding and I'll do the same for you. On a similar note: I'll say right now that disconnections are not a big deal for me. If you lose interest, have to cut down on distractions, or you're just plain not feeling it anymore, I've been there. Don't bend over backwards explaining yourself. If you're cool, I'm cool, and there's nothing stopping us from trying again some other time.

If we don't work out, no hard feelings. I always find it awkward to have to explain myself, so if you're one of those people that loses sleep over quiet disconnects, this is not the partner you're looking for. I can't believe I have to say this, but if you try to hunt me down or get around blocks to ask why or how this or that, you will not get what you want and all you're doing is making it worse for both of us. Take the L and move on, find greener pastures, and good luck.

All this was a super long-winded way of saying I'm super low-maintenance and like to collaborate equally, not handhold or babysit. If that's your jam and everything you've read so far sounds good, your patience has been rewarded. Here's what kind of goods I can offer.

Original characters:

Mine come in varying shades of these basic flavors: Baby, Bonehead, and Bastard. In other words, gentle giants just doing their best to act as pillars of support for the people around them, absolute fucking idiots that don't have two braincells to rub together and they're happy that way, and many a garbageboy stinkman who belongs in the toilet. Notable subspecies include charming flirts covering deep-rooted insecurity and workaholic perfectionists who will die if they have to relinquish one iota of control over anything. I generally prefer to play male characters for comfort's sake but will occasionally toss out one lady or another, so inquire within. Preferred genres include contemporary, high fantasy, urban fantasy, romance, slice-of-life, horror/suspense, it's all good here. I'm pretty weak when it comes to writing action and gore, so if we can keep those to a minimum, that'd be great.
