Doki Doki! The Arrival

"Hey.."

I look around, blackness surrounding my body.

That voice, why does it--?

"Sound so familiar?"

A feminine voice speaks up, piercing through the void.

"M- Monika?"

I didn't want to, but a hint of fear showed through my speech.

You.. You deleted her, so /glitch text/ why..

--Monika
"Don't worry, I forgive you."

I wasn't sure if she was talking to me, or someone else.

-Monika
"Look- we both did some.. pretty bad stuff back then, but.."

She pauses, seeming to almost fade into my vision.

She glances down into the black, almost murky void with a sad smile.

--Monika
"I need you. Not for love, although I still do."

She gives a slightly cheeky grin at that last part, her face seeming to glint with light.

-Monika
"..but because there's something happening. Something bigger than the Literature Club, bigger than this.. romance visual novel. Please, [player]. I'm asking for your help, one last time.."

Is she crazy? She's asking me to go back into that hellhole?

I knew who she was talking about.

It still hurt just trying to think of her name.

A gateway appears in front of me, spewing a golden-white light from it.

She wants me to go in.

I don't want to.. I don't want to go back.. Believe me.

But if I can save her..

I take a deep breath, and count to three before I step forward.

Before I step inside, I say the words that would change my life..
