The Missing Chao ~ Chapter 3

SMASH! A glass tumbled onto the floor and broke into a billion pieces, as lemonade shot out.

"Dang it," Amy groaned.

"Don't worry," Sonic bent down and started to collect the shards with a towel, "'accidents happen."

Floee slurped on jalapeno salsa, "Okay, what's the plan?"

"Hey!" Shadow suddenly interrupted.  "I wasn't finished with my peppermint cookies!"

"Whoa, you can eat while we discuss," Sonic calmed the "Black Blur" down.

As everyone pointed their ears upwards, the cobalt blue began to announce, "How much of the world have we traversed?"

"Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......" Silver hesitated. "Probably only Mysteria and a part of Pasto?"

"Silver, you forgot something," Knuckles bumped in. "We've ventured into the human's United Federation-"

"Hey!" Sonic barked. "We've traveled all over the world."

"Dang, I forgot," Floee muttered.

"Our speed and the time zones helped us circulate around the globe. If the Chao could be all over this world, we could find them in one shot!"

"Good thinking," Blaze praised.

"Continue, please," Shadow chirped.

"Um, if we're gonna be world travelers," Tails exclaimed, "shouldn't this chapter be renamed 'Chao Unleashed'"?

"Enough with the fourth wall breaking," Shadow growled.

After Sonic gulped down him chili dog, he smiled, "Don't leave right now, I'll divide y'all into groups!"

"Into teams?" Tails' ears perked up. "Like Sonic Heroes?"

"Whatever," Shadow yowled, "although Rouge is my 'sister', she always harasses my girlfriend."

"What will we do without Big?" Cream was concerned. "Can we let Blaze replace her?"

Blaze mewed, "No, because I lead Team Phenomenal."

"We're not doing Hero teams," Sonic exclaimed, "we're splitting into halves."

"Oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh", everyone else's mouths were round as a circle.

"Oh boy!" Knuckles became excited. "I really want to step outside and-"

"Hold your horses, Knux," Sonic stopped the echidna. "We'll go tomorrow so everyone can prepare and have their last reminder of home."

"Awwwwwwwwww......"

"That's okay! Well, everyone, let's group ourselves!"

10 minutes later, the animals raced to the backyard as if they were racecars.

"First one wins!" Shadow fistbumped the sky.

"This isn't a race, Shades!" Knuckles roared.

"Our first half will be Team Ring," Sonic announced once everyone bounded themselves like an army of ants. "Teams Ring will include me, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream."

"Wahoo!" Amy bounced so high. "I GET TO BE WITH MY BOYFRIEND!!!"

"I bet we'll be in the other team," Blaze shared her inference to Floee and Silver.

"The second half will be Team Emerald," Sonic once again announced. "Team Emerald will include Shadow, Blaze, Silver, Floee, and Rouge."

"Alright," Shadow spoke to his team, "we'll pack up the best supplies we all got."

"Are there any prizes?" Cream shy-fully asked Sonic.

"There are none," the Blue Blur responded.

Floee was an energetic goat, "I can't wait!"

Silver grinned, "This isn't my first time I've slept overnight in the present."
